Virtual Riot is always at his peak when he does melodic stuff. It's just what he's been doing for such a long time. With a lot of the melodic dubstep classics being under his name he truely is one of the best when it comes to melody in dubstep.
I feel like this song has a lot more meaning or I'm just over thinking. I imagine this song as a life plot. Lyric number 1: "enter the simulation" follow by a hard beat. I imagine someone trying something knew and exploring but it gets difficult. Lyric number 2: "Here's what I really want" Followed by this upbeat, future type beat. Meaning someone's experiencing what they wanted wants they got used to the simulation. Lyric 3: "Welcome back" follow by a hard beat, meaning maybe it's hard to adjust back to the real world, or maybe it's the same sad boring stuff. I just wanted to share my interpretation of this song that I absolutely love! I know not all dubstep songs necessarily mean anything direct, more so a song to vibe with. Love your music Virtual Riot

I recommend everyone to listen to this along with the album intro, the whole album is just an amazing experience!
The intro is just so clean, you dont even notice that the song changed in that point
