I still have the record player I received for Christmas in 6th grade and was so excited to find the 45 rpm again so that I could enjoy this song once more!!

I am a lifelong musician about to turn 73. Although I never liked her previous music much, it was too light for my tastes, I have always been capable of appreciating talent and music that has merit. I was astonished when my late wife told me this was a terrific album. When I listened to it, reluctantly, I had to acknowledge that she was right. I just listened to it again for the first time in 40 years, and yes. It's still a wonderful done album in every way. RIP Olivia, and thank you for this timeless gem.

I studied and studied believe me. I came away with something that only my heart knows how to share. As a song of activism, which are generally not things I favor, at least this one, written by ONJ singlehandedly, is neither shocking nor does it have a suggestive title. That's the big defect of Pat Benatar's "Hell Is For Children". It's to the point and seems to get the job done better than that does. Patti had help from Roger Capps and Neil Giraldo on "Hell" so this one is more organic, too, I feel.
I agree but then again both women are completely different in there approach both great artists with great voices who got their points across. Been a fan of both for years. Both great songs Hell the more successful of the two but i love both.
