The statement about most people never finding the limit of the vehicle, and are limited most often by their driving is the most true statement I’ve heard about wheeling.
@Crab I’ve been wheeling fairly hard for a long time, when I was younger I blew lots of stuff up. Now being more seasoned and training new wheelers and those without experience, they really don’t know where the limit is or how to get the most out of their rig without wrecking it. I get the price thing. I don’t wheel my gladiator hard at all even though it’s more capable than my wj I wheel simply because I’m not afraid to completely kill it. I can push harder without the price consequences
@Crab I don't think it's that simple - enthusiasts tend to upgrade their rigs ahead of upgrading their driving abilities(since building a rig is as much fun as driving it for a lot of us), not everyone even has trails around that can really push modified rigs. How many people upgrade Jeeps as soon as they buy them, before they even touch dirt? A whole lot of them never catch up to their mods that they make over the vehicle's lifetime. Most off-roaders aren't hardcore off-roaders like this, regardless of budget. For some it isn't by choice(budget, location, etc.); for others, it definitely is by choice(some people just aren't into hitting the gnarliest obstacles and breaking & fixing their stuff; which is the primary market for these $60k+ factory off-roaders that can do the hardcore, they're really overbuilt for these sorts of customers). Especially today, wheeling used to be a pretty budget oriented hobby, but there's all levels of budget & interest these days.
@Crab you hit the nail on the head. Shoot, my 4Runner is probably worth about 20K, and I was on the trail last week being cautious with it because I didn't want to trash it. Not only is it my daily that I needed to drive 300 mi home, 20K also is a fairly substantial amount of money to me.
The fact that you guys just send it in every vehicle is so awesome to see!! It’s easy to wheel a $55k vehicle and not as big of deal when you damage it. But paying $35k over MSRP and knowing there are no parts available, and still choosing to absolutely push it, proves what kind of people you are!! So awesome! Keep the videos coming!!!
Ford Performance usually doesn’t mess around if they are given a platform to build on. They had some great engineers working on the chassis of the Braptor. Well done Ford Performance! Great video guys!
I'd bet there were some Ford development engineers cringing when you started up the "Wall of Doom." Even the obstacles earlier were probably enough to make them uncomfortable. What you're doing is pushing the limits of their testing, short of bang it 'til it flips. Then they can dial it back half a turn and sell it! Excellent report from our favorite "Field Test Engineers!!"👍👍
Well to be fair this vehicle wasn’t built for extreme rock crawling. It’s a high speed desert runner that can do some rock crawling too. It’s way more capable than a stock Jeep in the desert and it can keep up to and stock Jeep in the mountains. My Rubicon couldn’t do what that Braptor did in this video. That was impressive for any stock vehicle.
@@fxrsniper1 yes and my Jeep has 33” tires with a lot less clearance than this Braptor. Did you notice Kevin didn’t take the Demon Child up this wall. The Live Valve suspension on the Braptor helps with climbing too by sensing where the weight is being applied to which wheel and softening or stiffening the shocks based on weight distribution in the moment. Then you have the transmission computer systems that are sensing where power needs to be applied in each instant for maximum traction. My Jeep has lockers and a low crawl gear ratio. No comparison.
I’ve done a lot of rock climbing, and I’m good, but Kevin is great! Most people will not understand the subtle things that he does to make it through tough obstacles. Also, hat’s off to Brittany for her spotting. I would trust her over any body I know. I notice Kevin does. I’ve been watching since the beginning, and I’ve picked up on the things they will try ( put wheels on-Brittany). So smart. They act crazy, but they are not!

I know it’s damn expensive but I think it’s crucial for video content. You know how many new Bronco fans are going to be tuning in when they get to see the Braptor being actually tested at this level?
Finally a stock Raptor on some really hard crawling obstacles ! Now I think many people would like to see you on a New Defender on some tricky steps... because much people think it is not a real offroad, but simply a good SUV... even if in every video many channels try to tell a different story, comparing it with others car without differential lock.. You guys are awesome! If Ford doesn’t fix the regular Bronco’s steering strength issue they’re crazy! It’s such an easy fix and it’ll elevate the regular Bronco by 1000!
The fact this is a stock vehicle off the lot is crazyyyy. Lol. It’s cool to see them actually testing it unlike other channels like tfl that just go on a dirt road for one day and then act like they know everything about it. No other channel would do these obstacles cause ford sends them the vehicles to review and hype up and expect to have it back with no damage. The fact they actually spent all that money to really test this thing on some tough trails like this is awesome. She’s a very good spotter and Kevin is an awesome driver. I’m sure he could do a lot of things most people can’t with the same vehicle. I would love to see him wheel a 4runner. Talked to. Ford performance last week and the ford performance rack will be available in April of 23 for the regular bronco. I’ll be adding the rack, raptor b pillar brace, rcv front axles and ADS coilovers. Hopefully that will make it pretty stout
That Bronco Raptor is a wildly impressive vehicle. You just blasted the value of that thing up substantially. Again, seriously impressive. Ford must be loving you folks at the moment. They have to be LOVING the fact that you are pushing the limits like this and that thing is producing this sort of reaction. Nice. Through all their testing and development of the Braptor they probably picked all the parts they were breaking at the limits of the standard Broncos and beefed the hell out of them as a starting point before adding the power, then went at the interior. No doubt a very serious all around off-roader. Very impressive for an OEM. Personally I can’t wait to get my mits on one of those new Ineos Grenadiers! 👍🏻😎👍🏻
And I quote “ in jeep or a solid axle vehicle” which is why an IFS is used in Baja vehicles. The solid front is way better at rock crawling, honestly, consider your reasons for what you buy. I love your channel here. I am not a rock crawler. I live in Utah, like you guys and have played at sand hollow many times in my Toyotas, IFS, don’t own a jeep because it was never what I was in to. You guys nailed the fun with a very versatile IFS, granted you paid for it, $$$! But love what you showed here. IFS is a smooth ride comparatively.
Far and away the best BRAPTOR video to date… from anyone. One wish: it would be great for you to put the BFG KO’s back on to get your opinion against the Nittos in desert running and climbing.
For the guys that are trying to test the waters, Kevin is a pro 23:05 😉. Not that it really matters because Brittany is just as big of a gearhead as Kevin!!! Kevin has helped me more than he'll ever know ❤❤💯🤙
Another great video! Love the "no kid gloves" treatment of the Raptor. I think that, with mods for suspension, it'll be a blast. It has problems going down rocks because it doesn't keep all four tires planted like a solid axle. and yes, watch that hop on the vertcals or the thing you'll be damaging most is the roof. First honest Raptor exercising I've seen - no sissy bumps, no "watch it go over this tree limb", just good ole "Kevin Send It !!!". I love watching Kevin acting like a kid on Christmas morning! Luv ya guys!!!
It’s built for high speed off roading. The suspension is probably the best you will find on a factory vehicle. The shocks and suspension alone retail for more than most used Jeeps. It’s the same suspension as the new Gen 3 Raptor. I think people should stop trying to make something it’s not built for. If you want an awesome rock crawler then just buy a cheap rock crawling buggy and haul it with a Raptor or Braptor. Then no matter where you go you have the best of both worlds. Jeep will never be either of those. You have to modify the crap out of them to keep up with a dedicated rock crawling buggy and they will never be great at high speed desert running.
Braptor is the best most capable 4x4 suv you can buy on the planet that solid front axle bull crap is beat to death the ifs in the Braptor does the same thing and doesn’t sacrifice ride quality. It’s in a league of it’s own right now. The only reason jeep is still getting attention because of how long it’s been around for. No STOCK jeep would come close to this Bronco.
@@fxrsniper1 if you bought a stock Bronco and upgraded to the same components that are in this Bronco Raptor it would easily cost you over 20k. The Fox Live Valve 3.1 shocks alone are almost 10k with install.
Dayum!!! The Wall of Doom is *AMAZING!* Very impressive that a stock Braptor got up it, too. That was hella fun to watch! Oh, and that supercharger whine on the Demon Child?! Holy SHIT that is so SICK!!
Great video, thank you guys for doing some true trail testing!! The way the body stays level has to feel a little weird at first. It looks like it will be great for all around. I hope you guys have a blessed day!!!❤❤💯🤙
So cool to see you beating on the Braptor. Love it! We’ve found wheeling independent suspension and then jumping back into solid axles is so very different… I agree that most of the time you don’t know when a wheel is pulled. Just takes seat time for driver comfort level. Hope some of the sumpsension/ rack improvements of the Braptor trickle into the other models. So great to see what we’ve all been waiting for on the Bronco… keep it up 🤜🏼💥🤛🏼
Keep on wheeling in the real world. No factory approved course will ever challenge a vehicle like you do. Thanks for the great demonstration. Lite Brite is the gold standard in off road video.
Dam those were some serious obstacles, you guys are starting off this Braptor show perfectly. You reached my driving limits in any 6 figure vehicle when you hit those woops over 35 lol
I watch Lite Brite on youtube every night in bed while falling asleep (Kev and Britt actually get paid for me to sleep), but I always wake up with Brad from Trail Recon somehow...
Extremely impressed. More articulation than I imagined it would have. The biggest drawback is the width. I do love your pick of interior colors tho. I'm a Denver Broncos fan so the blue and orange looked beautiful in my eyes!!
i like the bronco as an owner of a halfway built jku but goddamn that is one of the ugliest vehicles i have seen solely cus of the braptor fenders. 115k to have something that looks like it was made with playdough, they shoulda just copied jeep aftermarket fenders and made them small and thin!
100% agree with your statement that most people will never wheel their rigs to the full limit. Does this mean the Bronco will earn its Lite Brite decals on the side? Heck ya it should!
Kevin (about how much you paid): “It’s so good I don’t care anymore.” Brit: “I will say, I do still care.” With that tone that lets you know she’s serious, but she’s still good natured about it. You guys are great; good natured, fun loving, good people! Something that no other off road channel will ever have; your personalities and chemistry!
Good driving Kevin 🚗. It's to bad you couldn't talk Ford in giving you some of your money back for your Sasquatch. After all you paid big bucks for that machine.
I just installed the ICON stage 7 kit in my Wildtrak and the ride is incredible, I know what you mean when you come to whoops and think something bad is going to happen when you come down on the landing. The ride is crazy smooth as well in my Bronco.
yeah you had to overpay on yours but just sell off your other orders to make up for it. :) Being the first to release this content is totally worth it in the long run. That's how I found you guys back in the day. The JL came out and I got on TH-cam to see how it performed and who was one of the first people I found pushing it to it's limits??? Lite Brite! This will lead to a lot of things that will pay you back in the long run. Ya got to spend money to make money. :)
Hi, kids. Karl and The Old Goat here. You have no idea the trouble you're in now. I walked out to do something earlier and I hear giggles and murmuring coming from The Old Goat. Understand, that is never a good thing. It means he's seen something on TH-cam (he has his own internet now, don't ask, it's embarrassing.) So I quitely walk over to see what he's plotting now and between the giggles, I hear a line from a movie: "Come over to the dark side, Kevin. We have milk and cookies! and "Have the raptor get in touch, I'll give him clues on how to make Wranglers look bad with IRS." I shake my head and come back inside. Surely do miss you guys and want to be at Amarillo, but money aflter the heart attack is looking to be stretched too tight. Keep up the good work. Karl.
Spectacular video, Kev and Brit. Ben Hardy got to drive a media BRaptor along with TFL up Red Cone, and he likewise agreed with Kev that it was, hands down, the best turn key production offroader ever built. He likewise thought it might be worth the MSRP, but probably not what the dealers were gonna charge for it. Also, I have not seen Kev and Brit laugh like that while offroading in awhile, so I really think they'll dig turning the BRaptor into a Baja style offroad monster. The DemonChild supercharger sounds better than I even thought it would, and I really look forward to seeing you beat that thing up too. I have a strong feeling that both will eventually, along with a ton of work on your part, be as good investments as was buying the Stepchild turned out to be. Or at least I REALLY hope they pay off as well as buying that Rubicon Wrangler was, when you did that years ago, and turned it into this channel and E3 and a million other cool things.
Some engineering thought went into the Bronco Raptor, thanks for showing how it does in terrain I have watched several other vehicles attempt to / succeed in traversing. 😊
Whoops! Awesome. Brit’s hair flowing weightless over the whoops - priceless! Different tires would have been big difference. Quiet, solid, capable - are you sure you want to make major changes? Pretty fantastic “Stock”. Electronic “nanny’s” stink! Will this Braptor become the “PrettyChild”? Great driving Kevin. Few people could have been so confident taking this Raptor through is paces. LiteBriteNationBroncoStockMarketRising!
I think that's a good summary of the Bronco, if it lives on road most of the time it's probably the best option. However, it will never rock crawl as good as a Jeep, but that's where a Jeep really shines.
At tires do better in sand cuz it doesnt dig to china and more float and on slick rock cause u have more rubber on the ground where mud tires just have big voids and usually have less traction mud tires shine in mud
The only thing that really freaks me out on these types of newer vehicles is the engine nannys that can cut power at any time it deems something isn't right. Brake boosting is just a small example. I'll stick with dumping $15k into an old XJ and having the go pedal do what I ask it. There's a vid of a bronco cutting power on a steep obstacle causing it to flip over.
Only one problem with this video. Watching the Demon play on the dune was awesome, but would have loved seeing the Raptor do that too. The Raptor seams to be THE BRONCO to buy. Have to wait a while, but one might just be in my future. Extremely impressed.
At 17:49 You were speaking the truth 100%. I have a JK on 40s Dana 60s hydro assist and anti rocks and I don't even go to half of what she is capable of. I need to go with y'all. I'm sure you'd give me a little nudge : )
I will say this. The Rapture is nice. But, for the MSRP of the Rapture, you can build a hellofa Jeep. As with most new Fords out there, you'll find the issues in manufacturing soon. It even came straight from the factory needing work. I love you guys, but, it's still a big N O for me. Jeep Life Baby!
Best 4x4. Maybe? For what is available in the USA. I think it may fall a little short against Y62 Patrols or 200 series Landcruisers. Plus all Raptors are Ford factory modified from the stock vehicle.
This is awesome glad to see someone really pushing those things. I have a Badlands, fortunately with none of the quality issues you two have had. I know it's no Raptor, but my overall conclusion has been similar. I've done some pretty gnarly stuff that we've stock Rubicon's out on as well and I have to stay stock for stock I like the Bronco more overall. I've not had any issues with the tie rods yet, but I'm not pushing it quite as hard as you guys do. Yet. Yes indo realize it is at a disadvantage on the big rocks, but for the way I use it that's ok. I did hit a big dip on a dirt road at 65mph that would have had any jeep flying all over the road, and maybe resulted in concussion lol! The bronco soaked it up like nothing. Different strokes I suppose. I'd love to upgrade to a Raptor, but I sure as hell am not paying 115k for it, I'll place an order and wait another two years like I did with my BL. 😂
Sat the wifey down rite beside me to watch this highly anticipated video as we have a Braptor on order. Stocked for you guys and the upcoming content. Can’t wait for ours to arrive
As usual, AWESOME video. The BRaptor is not only talking the talk, but also walking(or crawling) the walk. The "Winces" shout how much you expected things to happen-and when they didn't happen-the relief was palpable. I keep saying to myself, "I will be getting a Jeep". I guess I should start getting it in my head, "I will be getting a BRaptor". No mods(aside from tires/removal of sliders &steps-suspect Brittany is really glad Kevin did that and a flag mount), and it can do what it did in this video shows how well FORD can put together a vehicle...when they put their minds to it. Didn't even loose a fender. So far, its lasted 24 hours. Will it last a week without any major problems?
Awesome video! Love the real world, honest, no BS reveiw and actually driving the Bronco like it was intended. The look on on his face while hitting the whoops at a pretty good pace was utter disablelif of how well it was handling. I saw him let go of the steering wheel like "WTF...are you serious" Haha. Keep it up, can't wait for more testing!
From my experience, driver seats don’t have the ratcheting mechanism like all other locations. But that is a great tip for a work around. Have used it a few times.
I always love and listen to the four-wheeling expertise that you guys bring forward! I have a couple of other four wheeling TH-camrs but nobody takes a vehicle to the extent that you two do! As for the Bronco, what a rig! Can't wait to see what it will do when it's built up like the Demon Child! From Colorado, thank you for what you do and I am anxiously awaiting for the next video! Lite Brite Nation!
I'm with you Brittany, $35k buys a lot of upgrades, but this is certainly impressive. Ford should refund you that $35k over MSRP for the free 33-minute advertisement! 😁
If you turn off traction control you can two foot control the truck, I figured that out in my f150 work truck on a mine site . It would cut power as soon as I put any brake on. I turned off track control and it worked as expected. I was also in 4 high and pleased it worked.
With Kevin driving and Britney spotting we all know it go to make it. But the smile on Kevin face let you know Ford done something right. Great vid guys. LiteBrite you guys Rock!😎😎
If this wasn't a true test of the Bronco I'm not what is. I'm very impressed by the Bronco Raptor capability but I must say that whining sound at 29:40 really hit the spot too.
Great to see you beating the snot out of this thing. Is it better than your previous Bronco? Yes 💯 Best overall vehicle? To early to tell. Would I spend 150k to have that overall capability? NO. I can’t justify that price point.

@@ThunderJarvis bless your heart
Thunder no the shocks and suspension do not retail for what most used jeeps go for. The suspension is not 20-30k fkn dollars.
@@fxrsniper1 if you bought a stock Bronco and upgraded to the same components that are in this Bronco Raptor it would easily cost you over 20k. The Fox Live Valve 3.1 shocks alone are almost 10k with install.
Have to say its doing so much better than I thought it would!!
You guys are fun crazy your wife is right on the price but for a stock vehicle I think it's amazing and it also looks great👍🙂
I loving the new Bronco Color
So great to see what we’ve all been waiting for on the Bronco… keep it up
🤜🏼💥🤛🏼
My husband and I absolutely love our 2022 Badlands Sasquatch.
Badass! Glad to see the Bronco do good. The fenders are fugly!!!
Not a bad way to wake up this morning!
You Rock
Well done. The Braptor is the best all around rig.
100% agree with your statement that most people will never wheel their rigs to the full limit.
Does this mean the Bronco will earn its Lite Brite decals on the side? Heck ya it should!
Love the video and I could feel the excitement lol I literally was freaking out watching you attempt the wall of doom over and over!! Great job 😊
Kevin (about how much you paid): “It’s so good I don’t care anymore.”
Brit: “I will say, I do still care.” With that tone that lets you know she’s serious, but she’s still good natured about it.
You guys are great; good natured, fun loving, good people! Something that no other off road channel will ever have; your personalities and chemistry!
❤️😁🤙
Good driving Kevin 🚗. It's to bad you couldn't talk Ford in giving you some of your money back for your Sasquatch. After all you paid big bucks for that machine.
Dang! 24:30, I never would have tried that with a new Raptor! Y'all are good, and ballsy!
The brapter is sick looking and sure footed! Looked fun!
I just installed the ICON stage 7 kit in my Wildtrak and the ride is incredible, I know what you mean when you come to whoops and think something bad is going to happen when you come down on the landing. The ride is crazy smooth as well in my Bronco.
No you didn't, that's a $8k lift plus installation it will cost you $10k
@@PianoBlackTrimRep. 11k actually and yes I did sorry to burst your bubble 🤯
You are correct, most broncos will never see off road use. The same can be said of Jeeps.
yeah you had to overpay on yours but just sell off your other orders to make up for it. :)
2nd time watching this. Still as awesome as the first time!
I keep watching this awesome video with my VR goggles, its like Im really there!
The most entertaining off roading channel has the dream fleet, the Step Child, the Demon Child and the Bronco Raptor! Content off the Chart!!
The Bronco did better than I expected. I am also a little surprised that you guys like it as well as you do. Thanks for sharing.
Whoops! LiteBriteNationBroncoStockMarketRising!
awesome job. A real world review, finally.
I just got delivery of a twin of your BRaptor…. I paid MSRP! waited a long time to get it, but it’s here and Iove it!
I think that's a good summary of the Bronco, if it lives on road most of the time it's probably the best option. However, it will never rock crawl as good as a Jeep, but that's where a Jeep really shines.
I am a die hard Wrangler guy, and i think the raptor looks totally hideous.. But man that thing is capable!
Would love to see more testing :D
That new Bronco Raptor is awesome. As for the tires, I think those A/T's should do just as good or maybe even a bit better on those rocks than an M/T.
At tires do better in sand cuz it doesnt dig to china and more float and on slick rock cause u have more rubber on the ground where mud tires just have big voids and usually have less traction mud tires shine in mud
Kevin is RIGHT! Overall best offroad vehicle FLAT out. Nothing compares to what it can do
Awesome content 👏 That Bronco Raptor is very impressive of what its capable of with a seasoned driver.. Kevin's driving was on point👌
Sounds like a competition of stock Jeep vs Raptor
I think the point was to have each one do what the other was made for.
That was so exciting!!
This was a Very EXPENSIVE mark up for the Raptor but worth every penny on content timing matters 😀😀😀👍🐴.
Best 4x4. Maybe? For what is available in the USA. I think it may fall a little short against Y62 Patrols or 200 series Landcruisers. Plus all Raptors are Ford factory modified from the stock vehicle.
Enjoyed the calm soul music segment 🤙🏼
You guys rock! Great driving!
I have no words. Just WOW! I might have to buy one!
You guys put in some serious work on this one. Great review/research/episode. For what it is the Raptor seems pretty legit so far
Raptor looks sick!
Perfect place to live for all around off-road testing. Looking forward to more on the raptor and all your other badass toys!!!😀
Sat the wifey down rite beside me to watch this highly anticipated video as we have a Braptor on order. Stocked for you guys and the upcoming content. Can’t wait for ours to arrive
Awesome. Wait for Wednesdays video! It’s even harder stuff
Bronco VS Whistle'n Diesel=G Wagon. 🙋
Oh man I've so been waiting for this vid. You guys sent it! Your driving skills are awesome. King and Queen of the toys.
Wall of DOOM in a unknown vehicle!!!!...BALLS OF STEEL KEVIN!!
From my experience, driver seats don’t have the ratcheting mechanism like all other locations. But that is a great tip for a work around. Have used it a few times.
“Will it squeeze through there”, “if you can squeeze into those pants”…..Awesome Kevin!
Wish I could afford a Bronco Raptor.. I would love it! It would meet & exceed my off road needs
Man Kevin. The dopamine! What a rush! Happy to see your happy with the Braptor so far! And for 80k MSRP I would hope it was capable!!
🤣🤣
I'm with you Brittany, $35k buys a lot of upgrades, but this is certainly impressive. Ford should refund you that $35k over MSRP for the free 33-minute advertisement! 😁
You likely already know but in rock crawl mode, the system lets you 2-foot drive. When in just 4L, it will do what it did there.
If you turn off traction control you can two foot control the truck, I figured that out in my f150 work truck on a mine site . It would cut power as soon as I put any brake on. I turned off track control and it worked as expected. I was also in 4 high and pleased it worked.
Great fun video guys!!!!
Great video! That 392 is awesome! The Bronco did very well, really amazing for a stock rig.
Fantastic video, keep it up!
You two have more balls than three men….great job showing it’s potential.
Crazy how good it does , from whoops to the wall and with those tires !
Great to see you beating the snot out of this thing. Is it better than your previous Bronco? Yes 💯 Best overall vehicle? To early to tell. Would I spend 150k to have that overall capability? NO. I can’t justify that price point.
115k
115K, not 150K 😅
Not that that still isn’t an insane amount, but still. Haha
Enjoyed seeing the new Raptor get worked out hard .I’m impressed with it. Like to see you build a high speed Baja out of it
