It's kinda wholesome how Jean-Claude on all his appearances makes sure to always include Andy in the conversation

Just saying, you would never see Seagal having this much fun on a talk show. It is great to see.

Van Damme is a nice, humble, genuine guy. Seagull is a big asshole.

JCVD is my favorite guest in the Conan's show, cause he always makes everyone laugh and also keeps Andy in the conversation.

This is why I prefer Conan over Letterman. He actually cares to joke with his guests instead of making a joke out of them. Letterman didn’t seem to like Van Damme and it shows where as Conan has a genuine interest in his guests regardless of who they are 🤷‍♂️

I love it, Moms always knows best. Van Dame: "Mom I want to be a movie star" Mom: "You can make it but don't tell that to your Dad!"

,,,,I have nothing against JCVD but....it's usually people that have been picked on that study martial arts. :) "Tough guys" never sign up for MA classes. :) Always the case. And as for JCVD....he DID "find his way" ....we all do. He was once a nerd then studied MA and began bodybuilding. Look at the women he's married. :) All beautiful.
Chuck Norris was picked on as a kid. Was chased home after school every day at one point. One day a gas satin owner got tired of seeing that and told Norris to stand up for himself. Luckeily he did and won. THen joinged the USAF...picked up Tang Soo Do/Kreeean style Karate...beccame 6x US Karate champion....got movie deals and has a beautiful wife...
Of course they both had some natural talent in MA so...that helped...heh....
MA does help build one's confidence if lacking. Just need to understand it won't make you into a John Wick. :) It's just exercise and sport in the end. In the real world it's almost never a fair fight/one on one.

To be fair, he's an 80s/90s action star. All the Hollywood action films back then starring Van Damme, Stallone, Arnold, etc were pretty fucking stupid and cringe-inducing, aside from the sheer AWESOMENESS on display. When someone says an 80s or 90s action film is "good", they simply mean that it's entertaining. Doesn't mean the film is well-written or even has a coherent plot. The primary purpose of movies is to entertain people. And action films from this era are certainly entertaining, despite all the cheese and cringe. They were made to entertain the masses, and that's exactly what they did.

I would rather watch van damme's body of work on loop than anything Hollywood has shat out in the past 20 years
