wow you call it simple? so what do you call those people wearing an average wage living in smaller houses ? you may consider your living situation simple but in reality you are not... you are considered rich. a simple living doesn't have an expensive fridge like yours, a stove cost more than 10k like yours, a spacious living room with modern furniture and appliances like yours, kitchen that is fully equipped with everything . you even have a lazy chair that is more than 30k each. a wide tc screen that cost more than 40k. it is not simple sir, you are living a life every Filipino is dreaming of.
We call it simple because after all the purchases we did last month for our retirement home, that’s it. Our life will be simple in the sense that we don’t have any more monthly income because we are retired and the retirement money was used to purchase the house and lot and the furnitures. And no, the chair is not 30k. It’s so much cheaper than u think. All our adult life my wife and I lived in California and worked our butts off to have what we have now. We eat simple healthy meals. Once in awhile meat especially when there’s company. We are not into luxurious personal things. We filled our house with furnitures and appliances we like and enjoy hoping they last a long time. That’s why we splurged a little on them. We are not rich. We just worked hard to be able to retire comfortably. Since we lived in the states before, people there live very comfortably even though you are just an ordinary employee. Yes I understand that our living situation is maybe better than some but it’s not a rich man’s life. Far from it.
