      Hi. For portraits do you recomend this better then 85mm 1.8? Im new in dslr world😀

      @@alexsimon443 I would not recommend this for a portrait. Using a Macro/Micro is not ideal. I would suggest the Nikon 35mm or Nikon 50MM with a 1.2 - 2.1 low fstop range for a shallow depth of field.

    I am taking shots of dimensional artwork and need a depth of field of about 3-4”; Meaning, as with your golf ball as an example, I need the entire ball in focus. I was told this lens could do that with auto focus… not sure my AF is working or if this lens just can’t accomplish what I want? Please help/suggest anything. Thank you

    sorry to bother you, i have this lens and a nikon d5200 and plan to get a sony zve10 to toy reviews and wondered if and what sort of adapter i would need for it? if you know of course. I think this lens should be good enough to get some nice detailed shots of figures but the body just cant handle the auto focus which is why i need an upgrade XD

    Hi. I have d750 with 24-120 and 50mm f1.8. Do you recomend this lens as my third lens? Its this good enough for food photography?

    • @truthbar4231
      @truthbar4231  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      My third lens would be either a 16 - 24mm wide angle or the 70-200 f2.8 VRII. But if you are wanting your 3rd lens to be specifically for the "food/up close" photography then definitely purchase the macro 60mm or 85mm.

    Why would someone buy this lens over the highly rated Nikon 60 MM f 2.8 D?

    • @jhoang861
      @jhoang861 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      because when you put it on a FTZ adapter for the mirrorless camera, the autofocus will not work. Nikon “D” screw mount lens won’t autofocus on mirrorless cameras. You can only manually focus using the FTZ adapter. This “G” mount does focus automatically.

      One thing that really surprised me about this lens, is the AF is blazing fast (and not just by macro standards) it focuses faster than my 50mm 1.8g - it also doesn't suffer from some of the colour fringing that that older lenses seem to be prone to.
