I was hoping a full length movie 🍿🎥 would of been created but the Creator/ Director did sum everything up beautifully. It's a Heart breaker 💔 as well being a parent, your child are not supposed to die before you, Especially before They have begun to really Live . There's been a few Id like to see again made into full length 🎥🍿 because they are unique .The Doll Maker was Premiere after Alter 🖤 first came to TH-cam.
It’s hard to pick a favorite. All are solid films. I think Guilt was the most well constructed story, with a good twist, and with an excellent execution. The Dollmaker was good, Grief was superb, Mirror Gazer was definitely scary (although it lacked explanation as to why their daughter’s ghost was so malicious… if it was even supposed to be their daughter)... But Grief had everything, and it felt more raw and real than the others. Just amazing shorts, as always. Plus, for some reason, there were ZERO ads in this whole Volume! I love you Alter!!! Thank you. And thanks dear directors and writers for making such great content!!! I am very grateful for you and this awesome Channel!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow........I know I've seen all these, but I love watching them again when they are paired so greatly! The "Grief" one was just....i'm speechless!..............................................................
After the film’s central couple Kevin and Esther's son is abducted and remains missing, their relationship deteriorates quickly. A year later, Kevin has spent months attending grief counseling meetings in an attempt to save his eroding relationship with his wife, while Esther still flails in denial. On one particularly tense evening, while in the throws of a devastating fight between Kevin and Esther, a stranger arrives at their home unannounced. What follows can only be described as a violent and psychedelic exploration of grief.@@justinbieber.fever.forever
Thank you ALTER for such magnificent horror movies. I have already seeing The Dollmaker, which is emotionally sad and concludes how one suffers when he/she cannot let go. I might to probably suffer the same sequence as the character in the movie, if that happened to me. Mirror Gaze was scary which gives the story when a wrong evil entity is summoned instead of their daughter Grief is the best of the four but i like GUILT more than that. Grief's story is bit complex as if what was the connection of Phaedra to the family. Other than that the overall plot is at its best. GUILT however has everything: the jumpscares, horrifying atmosphere, eerie cinematography and so on. It shows how the guilt haunts the mother who probably end with a suffering death than her patient
Doll maker was one of the 1st alters i watched and that was about 3yrs ago now. bloody brilliant story 👏 Reminds me of tales of the crypt my friday night fav as a kid ❤

@gamblersroll1660 Subjectively, yes. Objectively, no. Also, I dislike Hollywood's methods of deciding on how films are made. However, it isn't all bad because it gatekeeps well enough to prevent trashy movies from releasing. Like it or not, Hollywood doesn't invest in movies they know nobody will watch. That doesn't negate the fact that some of the greatest movies of all times were technically "bad," not because of poor development but merely because they didn't meet fan expectations. It failed because THE PEOPLE thought it was boring because they expected an exciting slasher film. This movie was good, but it was far from great because of the disjointed plot. The filmmaker tried to hit us with ambiguity and surprise reveals but failed to deliver the necessary context clues.

ALTER, you this channel does great work. "Us the twisted that find joy and relaxation in horror short film" We appreciate you, the people that are, "ALTER!❤"
After I watched the 2nd time I understand. The son came first but the dad was creeped out or didn’t think it was natural. The mom took instantly and never let him go. Dad went along with the idea to help mom cope with the loss. Dad was getting tired of the attachment mom has to the son so he hides the doll. Mom kill’s her self. Dad has her turned into a doll. He then becomes attached to her not following the instructions of putting her back in the box then forgets that she is a doll. Takes her outside to show her the boy is just a doll then remembers what he did after he sees what she truly is.
When it was claimed there was a coin shortage. QT was keeping customers change instead of making change. When Spinx and others never stole from their customers.
I am as confused as you are. What is the connection of Phaedra in the plot? All i know is that the mother blame her husband on the kid’s missing when it’s actually her fault.
Wow so the movie Grief was good to a certain extent. My questions are the same as everyone else’s. Can someone please explain who was at fault for the child’s death???
From what I seen so far ppl say the mom was supposed to pick up her son and start seeing stuff and so her husband tried covering up for her and some ppl say she's the lady that killed their son or some other lady did but she's supposedly is blocking her mind from her actions
Mom was supposed to pick up the boy. Her husband covered for her at the police station (changed the text) She is the one that killed the boy, I believe her husband knew.... rewatch & pay close attention to the wind chime. 😁
I think Esther was the one who was supposed to pick up the son or was in someway responsible for the death but the husband covered for her to protect her, but she was in denial. I think her psyche broke because deep down she knew it was her fault. I don’t know it was confusing but that’s what how I interpreted it.
Spoiler/Analysis for Grief... . . . . . . . . . . . Took a second watch and a look at the IMDb but the wife being paranoid in manic bursts is her subconsciously remembering her killing her own son and feeling guilt. The husband knew she was the one who picked him up that night and he covered for her to officers, giving him his own guilt. The arrival of a man who says "Phaedra" is a reference to a greek goddess who's whole deal was guilt. ( she was in love with her own step son and felt too guilty to act on those feelings or face and accept the reality of them. She chooses neither and lost her mind.) The man is likely the culmination of the wife's grief and for the father it's either that he saw first hand and suppresses the memory or some part of him knows she did it even though he fights the thought not wanting to face the possibility. At the start of it we are shown a wind chime. It's complete when she goes inside. Before the man's arrival at the door, we see It's gone. She ripped it off after seeing her husband on the phone. Her manic paranoia maybe telling her that her husband is a threat. We are seeing her mind blocking out the killing of her husband as well, as it's in the process of happening. If the husband didn't already realize it, we are also seeing, when he's shown by the man how the son died, the man is personifying his greif telling him the truth. In reality he is being attacked by is wife and understanding the truth of it all. She drags him out to the kids tent and sushes him to die when subconsciously she's tricking herself into thinking her actions are just her accepting her sons death. At least that's how I interpret it!
I know it's called grief, but I also think guilt played a big part of it. The title being greif is likely the fact that we are seeing how the wife is internalizing and processing her greif. Guilt being an undertone.
wow. amazing acting in "Grief' , that one freaked me out even more than dollmaker, which is hard to do😮 😅 every single story is so unique and well produced love this channel
I mean, I get that the mom was supposed to pick the kid up from practice. And then we see a silhouette attacking someone on the ground and a shot of an old woman's dirty face.... and why is there a possessed dude talking about how she "knows something"? Like, so the mom wasn't there early enough and the kid got attacked by a crazy old person. OK, fine. But what's this about phaedra? Is the the guy phädra who lied and got their son killed or is it the gal? Does it have anything to do with the myth at all?
it was her turn to pick her son from school, but he took the blame to make her feel comfortable. you can see that in the last part where he changed the name of her as kevin (himself) in today's event mobile app.

The fact he sees the boy as a doll and not real, but sees his wife real makes me think he didn’t care about the boy as much as he cared about his wife
