I think a teen series COULD work, but I really would rather them not go back to the Mane Six, at all. I like the episodes you proposed that have nothing in common with the Mane Six- like the Flurry Heart, Cadence, Trixie, New Six, all that jazz. But I'm fearful that returning to G4 would mean the Mane Six HAVE to show up, and anything less would get fan backlash. I think a potential teen series shouldn't focus on 20 smaller stories, and instead focus on one BIG one. Like, instead of an entire season being composed of 20 small stories that have nothing in common but fan service and Equestria, an entire season would be dedicated to how Celestia and Luna became Alicorns, or how Trixie came to be, or how Starlight- you know? I think that limiting those huge character arcs to 30 minute or an hour long episodes wouldn't give the story enough time to breathe (remember ali-conned?) I think about a poential teen series a LOT. I think I would want a series that went over EVERYTHING over a 12 episode season. Season 1 is how Celestia and Luna became Alicorns, and Season 2 is how Celestia banished Luna, and Season 3 is how Sunset became Celestia's student, and therefore banished, and Season 4 is Starlight Glimmer, ECT. The issue with that idea, though, (like I said I've thought this out) is it's a HUGE time commitment. All it takes is for one season to flop, and Hasbro would most definitely kill it before the series got to your favorite character. And also- another issue is that it would realistically be a G4 reboot, because in order to make a story make sense for a teen audience, I definitely feel like a lot of elements of G4 need to be rewritten. And FIM would realistically be where all these characters pay off, either as villians or characters in the show. I would like a teen series, but I'm scared Hasbro is gonna run off if it doesn't IMMEDIATELY do well.

"Feeling Apple Keen" A prequel episode to "Feeling Pinkie Keen" that takes place before Twilight ever arrived in season 1. During the episode "Feeling Pinkie Keen" It is implied that Applejack went through the same thing Twilight goes through during the episode. Not believing in the Pinkie sense. Like Twilight, she eventually comes to understand that there are some things in the world that cannot be explained and only through acceptance and understanding can we hope to try to understand things invisible to normal fields of interests.
FiM *already* appeals to teens and adults - that's how it developed a fandom in the first place! Many OG fans now have careers and kids of their own, and 1) we just don't have the same time for tv shows and fandoms that we used to, and 2) after 200+ episodes you hit burn-out. I think MLP should take a page out of StarTrek - produce a movie every few years. 1) A movie is an event, more special than a 223rd episode, and worth making time in our busy lives to watch. The G5 movie on Netflix proves that - it had much better ratings on Netflix than the series that followed, because it was an event and busy adult fans made time to view it. 2) And, StarTrek's original series movies co-existed with their Next Generation tv series, so FiM movies could co-exist with a G5 or G6 series.
Personally, an Episode I want to see is Luna reacting to and trying to adjust to the modern world after her reformation. A lot would of changed in 1000 years, so I'd love an episode that follows Luna experiencing that
One thing that peeves me off about G4 **watches angry mother cover her foal's ears** is how it set up a world that was so dynamic and diverse, rich and huge, that a lot of spin offs that would be awesome could exist if it were so desired. For example, a series following the Young 6, or even a mini series following Starswirl and the pillars before they trapped themselves in limbo.
Equestria Girls literally never got an actual conclusion so this plus that would be nice. Also spike never got a human design so uh hasbro plz drop that k thnks

I feel there a few more antagonists who need some justice. Here are the ideas I have for them. Episode 21: Equality in Personality A further exploration of Starlight's life after Sunburst's family left their shared hometown, from how Starlight and Sunburst met and got along, to how Starlight tried to move on but was eventually manipulated into forming Our Town. Complete with how her goth phase got her into the grasp of one who manipulated her. (Apparently, this was the original intention for Starlight's character after The Parent Map.) Episode 22: Corrupt the Cozy Finally answering who exactly Cozy was, before she entered the School of Friendship. Her home life and her time at her old school, and how abuse from both parties led to her getting her cutie mark and, eventually, how she became penpals with Tirek. As to end the villain origin episodes. Episode 23: A Diamond in the Rough Diamond Tiara was not immediately accepted after she heel-face turn in Crusaders of the Lost Mark. Now she has to learn a natural path to redemption, and how to become a better person. And unlike last time, she needs to figure it out on her own.
At the same time though, I do hope that G5 can achieve more mainstream success than it has. It's been a hit with children, but not as much with adults. I look forward to hearing what you have to say on the G5 issue.
I've always thought that Hasbro could re-air a remaster of FiM. Basically a version that mainly caters to the community, where popular fandom concepts and headcanons are included, as well as the canonizing, inclusion, or even just more acknowledgement of other G4 media like EqG, the IDW comics, and the movie. It would also be rated for an older audience, say, from teens to young adults, what with it being made for the fans and all.

I would absolutely love an episode talking more about the zebra species. Zecora is literally the only one and I’d love to know more about her and where she is from.
I think they should really just start from scratch and not necessarily gear towards an older audience, but have an intellectual maturity that attracts older viewers while not shutting out the younger ones. Give new, fresh takes on the characters in a fresh world. One of G5's biggest mistakes was not being able to let go of G4. The result was something tonally more juvenile that haphazardly canonnized itself with the previous series nothing like it, but also not really because of rights issues. (Anything from season 5 onward couldn't be acknowledged because Discovery owns the rights to those seasons and not Hasbro.)
I like how your ideas expand on unanswered questions from the og series. Buuut, I wouldn’t want the pure lore to overshadow the core of the life lessons. So I appreciate that you include character development and themes for every episode too. Rather than focus on the ‘what’ and ‘where’ the show would need to talk about the ‘why’ first and foremost for me.
Okay yes, i absolutely love this idea and i always wanted mlp to be more mature (yes i know the show was intented for younger audience, and it became more mature with the later seasons, but it still had weird restricting rules) and i absolutely adore your episodes ideas!! a lot of unanswered questions or just things to have satisfying ending.
Agreed! The thing is that the Mane 6 are young adults and casually in a relatable life stage to that audience. A lot of episodes set up the expected “child moral” and develop it further. Like, “Green Isn’t Your Color” doesn’t just say ‘jealousy is wrong’, but is instead about communicating your feelings properly. However, it all goes out the window when they write non-kid friendly issues with the restrictions they have. If you can’t portray an issue with complexity, DON’T include it in the first place😞
Sweet and sour heartswarming The episode focuses on apple family yet again coming for heartswarming to the rockfarm but with families of other main six and i feel like the rest of the episode can focus on the sisters like he said in the video and that would be the first part On the second part zephir breeze asks if he can work on the farm and pinkie guides him how to get hired there and he gets the job and limestone pie gives him the rules and you know the rest limestone x zephir WHAIT let me explain I mean limestone can teacch zephir how to work and he can say to limestone to be more laid back and set a little rock garden

I LOVE THIS IDEA SM!! my take on it would be a little different though, i wouldn't feature the mane 6 as much and instead let the side characters shine and explore their backstories and futures more. for example: i'd love to see an episode abt how lyra and bonbon met and got together and also just let their characters get more fleshed out bc i love them but we know so little about them. same with the older ponies, i would love to get more mrs cake lore, also zecora lore and etc. the mane 6 could still make cameos but they wouldn't be main characters anymore
I didnt finish the video but mind immediately went to Equestria Girls. We didnt even get a proper ending for that and I feel theres so much more they can do for their human counterparts and Sunset Shimmer as a full on series instead of all those mini shorts they did after the 4 movies.
i would even like a series on the new six cause here me out, they could have something similar to the friendship solving squad of the main six but more adventurous. imagine them solving friendship problems but sometimes ponies aren't even in the episode( except sandbar), they have a more dynamic skill set variation without the magic solves literally everything card. it could also be used to bring in new species and give some artistic freedom to character design, we could learn so much more on their hopes and dreams and i think that's really cool. thank you for coming to my ted talk.
This is going in the wrong direction, in my opinion. Hasbro's mistake wasn't in cancelling G4. It was in making G5 a sequel to it. G4 nostalgia is the #1 thing weighing G5 down. It's the most controversial aspect of the show, the one that fans debate the most. What Hasbro needs is a G6 that is completely disconnected from G4 and G5. Nostalgia can kill a brand. We saw it with Star Wars. Rather than trying to milk the same audience as G4, MLP needs a reset. Drop a new gen that is not connected to G4, and reel in a whole new generation of kids. Now, in order for that to work, it would need to be GOOD, like FiM was. But I don't think it needs to be teen or edgy, and it DEFINITELY shouldn't be set in the same world as G4 or with the same characters.
Yes, I agree 100%. It's better to remember G4 as an amazing show that it really is and move on to the new characters and stories without little to no connection to past generations.
I honestly don't want G4 to come back, as much as I love it and miss it. The show had it's time and I think most people can agree that it had a great finale, so even if there's stuff that I would love to see and that has a lot of potential, I think that it's better to leave it as it is. It would also undermine the ending a little bit for me, you know, having another season after that finale would feel odd, but that's just me, I'd like that the final G4 content was that ending. The only thing of G4 that I would like to come back is Equestria girls because they already had plans for season 3 and a finale, but out of that I think they should focus on G6 instead of bringing back G4, and I hope that G6 do what transformers or tmnt, where it's just a reimagination of the classic gens, so they can basically reboot G4 in a way, kinda like their original G5 plans and concepts, that alone would track a lot of attention.

i would always like a seperate series about the young six. its a well hated group, but thats why. it just popped. we didn’t have enough time to know them like we used to with the mane6. seperate episoded from the mane6 about the young6. instead of character development being thrown backwards to let them shine. we just need to let them shine without the content that m6 has.
tldr ; they should make a rebooted series with a separate universe entirely and characters unrelated to previous generations to push the franchise forward, while still marketing to older fans via cool stuff we couldn't have gotten (officially) before. I really liked the angle they were going with generation five as I watched it develop over time, but it was handled, marketed, often written, and animated, poorly. I Really want them to move on from generation four narratively while continuing to produce merchandise for it, allotting most resources to an ENTIRELY new world and characters going forward. no "sequel series", no "continuity" connected to previous generations aside from a few offhand jokes or references. what this franchise needs is to still produce quality content by functionally moving on, desperately holding onto the past will only alienate new audiences over time. I'd love to see a real return to form for the toy line, something similar to generations one and three. mild yet intriguing gimmicks which aren't "disruptive" to the toys physically, and may be applied to the show's canon (think crystal ponies). this franchise can continue appealing to anyone while moving on from it's past legacy and fandom, generation four ended after ten years for a reason. they should take advantage of the current nostalgia in terms of quality generation four merchandise that may appeal to the nostalgic crowd, I remember seeing a post on equestria daily that displayed and described new official merch releasing in china. they should expand that into the states while working on new quality products for the target demographic (kids), to have as many groups hooked as possible. a la what care bears and strawberry shortcake are pulling right now, which seems to be successful.
I’m surprised they even tried to tie it back to G4 with the rights issue. They don’t have clear rights of the later half of the series. So what they can show was extremely limited. Hasbro did not learn from their trademark debacle of the 80s lol
MLP G4 story May be pretty much over, but I agree that their are many ways to continue the series. Not in the form of a continuing season, but potentially as a spin off series, something like a Tales of the Jedi sort of thing. (cause the story is very much done and continuing it would only cause more problems) Covering old and scrapped stories, unanswered mysteries, and some heavier Themes and topics.
Honestly If you want a Mlp series to be like Fionna and Cake then picture this: Imagine another alternative universe in the Mlp multiverse, a universe that has never been prone to magic like the eg universe and in this universe it has The Ponies in it but they look like NORMAL horses/ponies and their world is a little more advanced with consistent technology since Mlp doesn’t have an exact time period, you could say G4 took place in a time period similar to the 1920s since they have things Like Newspapers, Cameras and such So I like to think this normal world universe has to take place in about 1970s give or take, With all Our favorite as normal ponies, it may be something we see in Fionna and cake but let’s be honest everyone wouldn’t be friends with each other so much since without friendship there can’t be magic… we see this play out in G5 but they still have as little magic as having cutie marks and remaining colorful as always, The Ponies would have no cutie mark no color manes or anything just looking like plane equines living a boring life in the work hours with no time for fun or games This Version of Twilight sparkle however would discover a multiverse portal similar to the mirror to go into our version of equestria This would be the opposite of how Equestria girls played out Instead of pony Twilight showing the humans the magic of friendship, it be Non magic twilight having the Magical ponies show her the magic of friendship. And once she brings what she learns into her world, it causes a shift in the environment to be magical, until it turns every pony into Earth ponies, unicorns and Pegasi with magic, And some in the distant shouts: Twilight you Horsef**ker Sorry you might not be a huge reader but these are just thoughts for an adult series and I like sharing

Please no. Most reboots and revivals now and day just ruin the characters. Either because someone else is in charge or they give the creators too much freedom. The show was loved the way it was, with its restrictions and all. That is how everyone enjoyed it. If you come now wanting to "improve" it or make it for "modern audiences" then it will a totally different show. Its for the best to leave the characters alone. The only other way would be with new characters but using the same art style. And within the same time period but who knows.
I love this idea and hope that creators of this show can do this in the near future. I doubt that the new gen we’ll make it because of the lack of people watching it, the show isn’t that but it doesn’t hit the same as the original
Whatever happens with the franchise, in terms of future shows, I really think Hasbro would benefit from, and should focus on a show that has the kind of care put into it like FiM in terms of setting up a story, setting, characters, getting people in who enjoy telling stories that while aimed at a specific audience, can be enjoyed by anyone (and is made with the intent that anyone can enjoy it), who doesn't have to be super unique all the time, but shoulld have a cohesive vision, and stand out in a way, and not just rehash (which I do differentiate from say alternate universe or tie in kind of stuff, references stuff, etc). Most importantly, Hasbro should lean in, and interfere as LITTLE as possible (as hard as that is). Time and time again, we've seen what happens with that - the initial MLP, 90s Nickelodeon, pre-Warner-7Arts Looney Tunes, FOR EXAMPLE, show what happens when creative people are able to create and focus on making something the best it can be. MLP has already proven that it can appeal to a very wide range of audiences, and do so well. IMO, Hasbro missteppings in G5 should not diminish that potential... and IMO it would suck if that appeal were somehow lost (/I hope that being lost doesn't happen).

I actually think an older audience version could work, now I don't mean like: ooohhh gritty adult animation remake!!111!1! (Sorry for the long comment) I mean like, a version aimed for preteens. Sort of the same demographic as like amphibia or the owl house. The original G4 series was aimed towards like kids 4-7 and younger, and later they made it more mature as it went on to cater to the largely adult fanbase, but still kept it geared towards younger kids. I think an mlp series rated TV-PG instead of TV-Y would be a good direction to take the show. I was in the target demographic of like 7 when G4 came out, having also grown up on the later half of G3. I know that 12 year old me would've been stoked for a TV-PG version of my little pony, as while I still really liked it at that age i did feel a bit childish for still enjoying it. I have a young cousin around the age of 8 who I introduced to G4 when she was about 5, and she was a big fan. We actually ended up watching most of early G5 together. Recently I asked if she wanted to watch it with me and she hesitated, telling me she wished it was more like the Sonic Prime show on Netflix which she's been watching recently. Kids love to feel more mature in the media they consume and its healthy for them to see things gradually outside of their comfort zone, so a version of mlp that could tackle some more advanced subjects that a 10+ audience could reasonably understand would probably do well. Now I don't mean like: ohh heres an episode about drugs and murder!! I mean more like: heres a more advanced take on losing a loved one or peer pressure or topics you'd really teach a child of that age demographic.
She was intended to be Bi by Katrina Hadley, who is a story border, finalist, and director for the equestira girls series But they are barred from any major representation like that But Sunset’s bisexuality is written all over the wall

Season 1 is how Celestia and Luna became Alicorns, and Season 2 is how Celestia banished Luna, and Season 3 is how Sunset became Celestia's student, and therefore banished, and Season 4 is Starlight Glimmer, ECT. The issue with that idea, though, (like I said I've thought this out) is it's a HUGE time commitment. All it takes is for one season to flop, and Hasbro would most definitely kill it before the series got to your favorite character. And also- another issue is that it would realistically be a G4 reboot, because in order to make a story make sense for a teen audience, I definitely feel like a lot of elements of G4 need to be rewritten. And FIM would realistically be where all these characters pay off, either as villians or characters in the show.
I would like a teen series, but I'm scared Hasbro is gonna run off if it doesn't IMMEDIATELY do well.

I would loveee an MLP teen series! I think the how tame they kept the show in retrospect really held it back from reaching its full potential.
"Feeling Apple Keen"
A prequel episode to "Feeling Pinkie Keen" that takes place before Twilight ever arrived in season 1.
During the episode "Feeling Pinkie Keen" It is implied that Applejack went through the same thing Twilight goes through during the episode. Not believing in the Pinkie sense.
Like Twilight, she eventually comes to understand that there are some things in the world that cannot be explained and only through acceptance and understanding can we hope to try to understand things invisible to normal fields of interests.
FiM *already* appeals to teens and adults - that's how it developed a fandom in the first place! Many OG fans now have careers and kids of their own, and 1) we just don't have the same time for tv shows and fandoms that we used to, and 2) after 200+ episodes you hit burn-out. I think MLP should take a page out of StarTrek - produce a movie every few years. 1) A movie is an event, more special than a 223rd episode, and worth making time in our busy lives to watch. The G5 movie on Netflix proves that - it had much better ratings on Netflix than the series that followed, because it was an event and busy adult fans made time to view it. 2) And, StarTrek's original series movies co-existed with their Next Generation tv series, so FiM movies could co-exist with a G5 or G6 series.
Personally, an Episode I want to see is Luna reacting to and trying to adjust to the modern world after her reformation. A lot would of changed in 1000 years, so I'd love an episode that follows Luna experiencing that
One thing that peeves me off about G4 **watches angry mother cover her foal's ears** is how it set up a world that was so dynamic and diverse, rich and huge, that a lot of spin offs that would be awesome could exist if it were so desired.
For example, a series following the Young 6, or even a mini series following Starswirl and the pillars before they trapped themselves in limbo.
Equestria Girls literally never got an actual conclusion so this plus that would be nice.

I feel there a few more antagonists who need some justice. Here are the ideas I have for them.
Episode 21: Equality in Personality
A further exploration of Starlight's life after Sunburst's family left their shared hometown, from how Starlight and Sunburst met and got along, to how Starlight tried to move on but was eventually manipulated into forming Our Town. Complete with how her goth phase got her into the grasp of one who manipulated her.
(Apparently, this was the original intention for Starlight's character after The Parent Map.)
Episode 22: Corrupt the Cozy
Finally answering who exactly Cozy was, before she entered the School of Friendship. Her home life and her time at her old school, and how abuse from both parties led to her getting her cutie mark and, eventually, how she became penpals with Tirek. As to end the villain origin episodes.
Episode 23: A Diamond in the Rough
Diamond Tiara was not immediately accepted after she heel-face turn in Crusaders of the Lost Mark. Now she has to learn a natural path to redemption, and how to become a better person. And unlike last time, she needs to figure it out on her own.
At the same time though, I do hope that G5 can achieve more mainstream success than it has. It's been a hit with children, but not as much with adults. I look forward to hearing what you have to say on the G5 issue.

I've always thought that Hasbro could re-air a remaster of FiM.
Basically a version that mainly caters to the community, where popular fandom concepts and headcanons are included, as well as the canonizing, inclusion, or even just more acknowledgement of other G4 media like EqG, the IDW comics, and the movie.
It would also be rated for an older audience, say, from teens to young adults, what with it being made for the fans and all.

I would absolutely love an episode talking more about the zebra species. Zecora is literally the only one and I’d love to know more about her and where she is from.
I think they should really just start from scratch and not necessarily gear towards an older audience, but have an intellectual maturity that attracts older viewers while not shutting out the younger ones. Give new, fresh takes on the characters in a fresh world. One of G5's biggest mistakes was not being able to let go of G4. The result was something tonally more juvenile that haphazardly canonnized itself with the previous series nothing like it, but also not really because of rights issues. (Anything from season 5 onward couldn't be acknowledged because Discovery owns the rights to those seasons and not Hasbro.)
I like how your ideas expand on unanswered questions from the og series.
Buuut, I wouldn’t want the pure lore to overshadow the core of the life lessons.
So I appreciate that you include character development and themes for every episode too. Rather than focus on the ‘what’ and ‘where’ the show would need to talk about the ‘why’ first and foremost for me.

The thing is that the Mane 6 are young adults and casually in a relatable life stage to that audience.
A lot of episodes set up the expected “child moral” and develop it further. Like, “Green Isn’t Your Color” doesn’t just say ‘jealousy is wrong’, but is instead about communicating your feelings properly.
However, it all goes out the window when they write non-kid friendly issues with the restrictions they have. If you can’t portray an issue with complexity, DON’T include it in the first place😞

I didnt finish the video but mind immediately went to Equestria Girls. We didnt even get a proper ending for that and I feel theres so much more they can do for their human counterparts and Sunset Shimmer as a full on series instead of all those mini shorts they did after the 4 movies.
i would even like a series on the new six cause here me out, they could have something similar to the friendship solving squad of the main six but more adventurous. imagine them solving friendship problems but sometimes ponies aren't even in the episode( except sandbar), they have a more dynamic skill set variation without the magic solves literally everything card. it could also be used to bring in new species and give some artistic freedom to character design, we could learn so much more on their hopes and dreams and i think that's really cool. thank you for coming to my ted talk.

This is going in the wrong direction, in my opinion. Hasbro's mistake wasn't in cancelling G4. It was in making G5 a sequel to it.
G4 nostalgia is the #1 thing weighing G5 down. It's the most controversial aspect of the show, the one that fans debate the most. What Hasbro needs is a G6 that is completely disconnected from G4 and G5. Nostalgia can kill a brand. We saw it with Star Wars. Rather than trying to milk the same audience as G4, MLP needs a reset. Drop a new gen that is not connected to G4, and reel in a whole new generation of kids. Now, in order for that to work, it would need to be GOOD, like FiM was. But I don't think it needs to be teen or edgy, and it DEFINITELY shouldn't be set in the same world as G4 or with the same characters.

I honestly don't want G4 to come back, as much as I love it and miss it. The show had it's time and I think most people can agree that it had a great finale, so even if there's stuff that I would love to see and that has a lot of potential, I think that it's better to leave it as it is. It would also undermine the ending a little bit for me, you know, having another season after that finale would feel odd, but that's just me, I'd like that the final G4 content was that ending. The only thing of G4 that I would like to come back is Equestria girls because they already had plans for season 3 and a finale, but out of that I think they should focus on G6 instead of bringing back G4, and I hope that G6 do what transformers or tmnt, where it's just a reimagination of the classic gens, so they can basically reboot G4 in a way, kinda like their original G5 plans and concepts, that alone would track a lot of attention.

i would always like a seperate series about the young six. its a well hated group, but thats why. it just popped. we didn’t have enough time to know them like we used to with the mane6. seperate episoded from the mane6 about the young6. instead of character development being thrown backwards to let them shine. we just need to let them shine without the content that m6 has.
tldr ; they should make a rebooted series with a separate universe entirely and characters unrelated to previous generations to push the franchise forward, while still marketing to older fans via cool stuff we couldn't have gotten (officially) before.
I really liked the angle they were going with generation five as I watched it develop over time, but it was handled, marketed, often written, and animated, poorly. I Really want them to move on from generation four narratively while continuing to produce merchandise for it, allotting most resources to an ENTIRELY new world and characters going forward. no "sequel series", no "continuity" connected to previous generations aside from a few offhand jokes or references. what this franchise needs is to still produce quality content by functionally moving on, desperately holding onto the past will only alienate new audiences over time. I'd love to see a real return to form for the toy line, something similar to generations one and three. mild yet intriguing gimmicks which aren't "disruptive" to the toys physically, and may be applied to the show's canon (think crystal ponies). this franchise can continue appealing to anyone while moving on from it's past legacy and fandom, generation four ended after ten years for a reason.
they should take advantage of the current nostalgia in terms of quality generation four merchandise that may appeal to the nostalgic crowd, I remember seeing a post on equestria daily that displayed and described new official merch releasing in china. they should expand that into the states while working on new quality products for the target demographic (kids), to have as many groups hooked as possible. a la what care bears and strawberry shortcake are pulling right now, which seems to be successful.
I’m surprised they even tried to tie it back to G4 with the rights issue. They don’t have clear rights of the later half of the series. So what they can show was extremely limited. Hasbro did not learn from their trademark debacle of the 80s lol

Imagine another alternative universe in the Mlp multiverse, a universe that has never been prone to magic like the eg universe and in this universe it has The Ponies in it but they look like NORMAL horses/ponies and their world is a little more advanced with consistent technology since Mlp doesn’t have an exact time period, you could say G4 took place in a time period similar to the 1920s since they have things Like Newspapers, Cameras and such

The Ponies would have no cutie mark no color manes or anything just looking like plane equines living a boring life in the work hours with no time for fun or games
This Version of Twilight sparkle however would discover a multiverse portal similar to the mirror to go into our version of equestria
This would be the opposite of how Equestria girls played out
Instead of pony Twilight showing the humans the magic of friendship, it be Non magic twilight having the Magical ponies show her the magic of friendship.
And once she brings what she learns into her world, it causes a shift in the environment to be magical, until it turns every pony into Earth ponies, unicorns and Pegasi with magic,

Please no. Most reboots and revivals now and day just ruin the characters. Either because someone else is in charge or they give the creators too much freedom. The show was loved the way it was, with its restrictions and all. That is how everyone enjoyed it. If you come now wanting to "improve" it or make it for "modern audiences" then it will a totally different show. Its for the best to leave the characters alone. The only other way would be with new characters but using the same art style. And within the same time period but who knows.
I feel like this would be more a spin off rather than a reboot, and anyways if it ends up bad you can choose to ignore it and see it as non-canon
I love this idea and hope that creators of this show can do this in the near future. I doubt that the new gen we’ll make it because of the lack of people watching it, the show isn’t that but it doesn’t hit the same as the original

Whatever happens with the franchise, in terms of future shows, I really think Hasbro would benefit from, and should focus on a show that has the kind of care put into it like FiM in terms of setting up a story, setting, characters, getting people in who enjoy telling stories that while aimed at a specific audience, can be enjoyed by anyone (and is made with the intent that anyone can enjoy it), who doesn't have to be super unique all the time, but shoulld have a cohesive vision, and stand out in a way, and not just rehash (which I do differentiate from say alternate universe or tie in kind of stuff, references stuff, etc).
Most importantly, Hasbro should lean in, and interfere as LITTLE as possible (as hard as that is). Time and time again, we've seen what happens with that - the initial MLP, 90s Nickelodeon, pre-Warner-7Arts Looney Tunes, FOR EXAMPLE, show what happens when creative people are able to create and focus on making something the best it can be.
MLP has already proven that it can appeal to a very wide range of audiences, and do so well. IMO, Hasbro missteppings in G5 should not diminish that potential... and IMO it would suck if that appeal were somehow lost (/I hope that being lost doesn't happen).

I actually think an older audience version could work, now I don't mean like: ooohhh gritty adult animation remake!!111!1! (Sorry for the long comment)
I mean like, a version aimed for preteens. Sort of the same demographic as like amphibia or the owl house. The original G4 series was aimed towards like kids 4-7 and younger, and later they made it more mature as it went on to cater to the largely adult fanbase, but still kept it geared towards younger kids.
I think an mlp series rated TV-PG instead of TV-Y would be a good direction to take the show. I was in the target demographic of like 7 when G4 came out, having also grown up on the later half of G3. I know that 12 year old me would've been stoked for a TV-PG version of my little pony, as while I still really liked it at that age i did feel a bit childish for still enjoying it.
I have a young cousin around the age of 8 who I introduced to G4 when she was about 5, and she was a big fan. We actually ended up watching most of early G5 together. Recently I asked if she wanted to watch it with me and she hesitated, telling me she wished it was more like the Sonic Prime show on Netflix which she's been watching recently. Kids love to feel more mature in the media they consume and its healthy for them to see things gradually outside of their comfort zone, so a version of mlp that could tackle some more advanced subjects that a 10+ audience could reasonably understand would probably do well.
Now I don't mean like: ohh heres an episode about drugs and murder!! I mean more like: heres a more advanced take on losing a loved one or peer pressure or topics you'd really teach a child of that age demographic.
