The vocals for the song are by a singer named YMIR, btw. That's also his channel name on TH-cam. The song itself reminded me of League of Legends World Championship songs, you could totally promote an esports event with that.
SPOILER ALERT The EP alone made him look all cool as a fighter and look like he's enjoying the fight and victory a little too much (not saying he didn't at all, but the ep alone made it look like he was all determinant and focused in the game itself as if he's fighting for glory and his friends or something). From his telling in the game he actually said he was extremely numb fighting all the games that he could no longer remember any of his components. He was hating himself to a point he cannot look at the reflection of himself in their eyes. He also did not pay off his own debt, but was rescued out of this unhealthy fighting ground and unhealthy state of mind by big daddy who paid off the rest of his debt and brought him to the Son of Calydon, where he eventually managed to heal himself from all the guilt and self hatred.
SPOILER ALERT agian the debt was because he borrowed money to pay the compensations to his gone friends' family. he revealed to the mc that their death was his fault, which was also the source of his guilt and self hatred. He was sold to the underground fight club by his creditor, where he began to fight to pay off the debt. I would say the debt and the burden he held in his heart was what kept him going, but at the same time his mental state worsen each day, until big daddy came to rescue and took him in as a member of the big calydon family. It took some time for him to build the new relationships but he considers them his dearest friends now. He still lives a very dangerous and risky life as he wants to use all his power to protect his new family so that the tragedy does not happen again, but he is in a much better condition than before.
The EP is lighter keeping the SoC's goods intact quietly, so i think it could be a kind of wry smile like "hahaha, here I am again, and yet it feels so different"
@@pallingtontheshrike6374 yes i can see that. Don't get me wrong, I think the ep is beautifully made. My complaint is more about how it on its own is misleading, not at all showing what he said during the story. Yes, the focus is different. and yes, the song is called fearless so it's meant to show his multi dimensional characteristics and feelings. But i just wish the story and the ep connect slightly more than they do now so that even just watching the ep one can still tell for one frame or two that he was "doing something to keep him alive, even though it does not necessarily keep him sane."
I need an anime studio to hit up hoyoverse and make this anime holy shit Edit: They didn't even touch on how Lighter ended up with The Sons of Calydon which I bet is also great story
