I m really not a fan of ju jingyi, and cant stand all her prev hairstyles and her dangling stuff, ughhhh. But I must give credit where credit is due, her look in tis drama is beguiling n she looks very beautiful. The trailer looks interesting n intriguing and she actually looks like she has improved in her acting. May check it out
Meng Zi Yi and Li Yun Rui are both such pretty people, and that kiss where he's on a horse and leans down? SWOON lol, I'm looking forward to the drama, if only for that one particular scene!
In blossom, so far so good. I just wish they kept the cast at the beginning. I like Zheng Hehuizi as female lead. And Ju Jingyi is soo good being an evil antagonist.
I like actress playing the FL for the beginning of drama..it is my first time i watch her. Her acting quite natural and suitable for the role...and some people has already attached by her playing FL lol...😊
I am watching "Angels Fall Sometimes" and this drama makes me cry in every episode, all the characters all very impressive, deep and well written, it's drama that makes you feel that it's not about the Leads and every character in the drama are precious
Thanks very much for that energetic and very informative video! It does seem that prospects look good for dramaland..about time. It would warm my heart to see you excited about a drama again. One of the comments today mentioned your "feminine energy" and your beautiful hair. I agree, whenever you bring out your shining hair, in all its glory, along with that "feminine energy", you are indeed a force of nature. If I could bottle that, I could make a fortune!
I wish Ju Jingyi will get serious about acting and work hard to improve her acting. I find her more interesting when she acted as the villain for a quick minute in In Blossom
The end credits of Burning Flames made me realise that what I really want to watch is 45 minutes of Allen Ren and the other actors trying to embody their drama acting class from university while sitting on large green make-up monsters that are pushed through the set by several green men. Why is no one making a movie about all the hilariously crazy aspects of modern green screen movie making? 😂
Taking up, and leaving again.... Burning flames The shouting is also my main peeve with it... along with the affectation of the female "baddy's" voice... A special mention for Peter Ho, whose brief appearance confirms he can act anything amazingly. Lots of dramas with Blossom in them coming up.... gonna get confusing. Am enjoying In blossom: Liu xu hei is "perfect" as always, lots of good second roles, and... I found Ju Jun hi a bit more natural, and even happier, than in many of her recent dramas. Shen Li is a well crafted drama : writing, dialogues, (not visuals which mostly follows the washed out immortal trope) It is really a pleasure to see actors who aren't overgrown adolescents: the experience in their job shows. and, again, lots of good second roles.
In burning flames is interesting and intriguing although I have never watched Ju Jingyi's Drama but here her actings seems much improved ofcourse Lu Xiyei also acted well good to see him as male lead and Angels Fall sometimes never fails to make me cry every single character acted so good.
Maybe it's because i have only watch the first episode of In Blossom, or maybe it's just my prejudice against JJY..lol.. But i seriously like the original FL character's actress better (the one whose face got stolen by JJY's original character). I don't know her name yet but She's a pretty good actress and has good chemistry with the male lead..how unfortunate that she had to be replaced, this could've been a breakthrough in her career. The settings and atmosphere is nice so far and makes me want to keep watching it although i believe the storyline isn't something new. unless the quality drops later, i think it's kinda recommended to watch. Update: despite my early thoughts(which i still stand with) and plot holes all over it, it's quite an interesting and enjoyable drama so far. Quite recommended if you need something to pass the time with :)
I had exactly the same response after three episodes. The initial actress is interesting in body type, 'flawed' looks and endearing personality. The abrupt change to the now perfect face & sleek body shocked me as much as it seems to have affected the male lead.
I came across videos raving about her performance and chemistry with ML actor. Many comments saying the wedding episode is the "perfecting ending" for the drama.
Liu Xueyi rocks in In Blossom. Finally he got a 100% ML role. FL is her usual self, nothing new. I would love to hear why Jeremy Xu decided to leave the industry...
You look marvelous! Hopefully, we will have something watchable soon. Can you share more stories about last drama chaotic choice for police “ student”? Curious about reality of choosing/casting actors.
you are right about the Beijing accent, not only the way of using "儿" is subtle, words got swallowed in sentences is even harder to learn, especially for people from taiwan. I still remember Li Yifeng in 老炮儿. He was trying to be a Beijing 小爷, but used the "儿" mistakenly in many places, it really bothered me.
I don't know if anything can follow The Longest Day in Chang'an. It was perfect. I felt as if I needed a vacation when it was over, though. I can't imagine how it affected the actors and production people! Thank you for your work. I hope you get the drama you're awaiting.
In Blossom started really well. I binge watched the first 5 episodes. And I stopped Burning Flames at episode 1. I couldn't deal with the dated CGI and very old fashioned xinxia feel. Lost You Forever spoiled me last year, I can't settle for bad xinxia anymore 😂
In Blossom I liked the vibe before they switched the Main Actor from Zheng He Hui Zi to Ju Jingyi, who I think makes a better villain, definitely more character and less bland than when she plays the main role, but will continue on and see...
I spat out my coffee watching the first episode of Burning Flames when I saw the exploding hair styles on the father and son. Watched three episodes of In Blossom and am already sad about the quick departure of Wu Jia Yi.
Burning Flames seemed to change style completely during episodes 3-4. I thought the first couple of episodes had an interesting style and assumed it was going for a comic book feel, then it suddenly switched to a standard drama format. My brain started spinning and I smashed the delete button.
Just Jingyi just hasn't impressed me. I'm trying really hard to like her but it's like her face doesn't change and they make the middlenof her face so narrow its almost cartoonish. I'm not trying to attack her because she is a gorgeous lady but she has no sense of micro expression or really macro expression either
Watched In-blossom and the main guy and the girl did a pretty great job but once Jujinying showed up, the drama kind of went south. This girl is gorgeous but cannot act. Dropped it at the beginning of episode 2. Burning flames is getting good at ep 14. Loved Xing Fei acting. She can make someone cry and smile like an idiot. Allen does an ok job for his role. I haven't read the manga but this serie is by far interesting in my opinion. Going to watch Angel falls but I can't go through with heartache now. Will put it in the list to watch later.
"Burning Flame" is giving ranters work. Their opinions are split on whether the special effects are good enough. Also, if one can get over the styling - faithful to the donghua but makes real people look terrible - as well as Allen Ren not looking the right age for his character in the beginning (example he looks more like a brother to his character's parents), his voice/line delivery (no longer out-of-breath but rather flat), and his acting sometimes not fitting the scene, there might be something worthwhile in the story itself.
@AvenueX Interested in your views of The Legend of Shen Li - I'm struggling with the first 2 eps, and maybe its meant to be slow (mostly doing menial things that contribute nothing to plot) , and the CGI is hit and miss , the beginning fight has a MCU like CGI battle sequence and then it goes downhill when the chicken render takes place which it doesn't even cast a clear shadow that makes it look so tacky/fake like CGI from 10 years ago, ML interaction to try patting it seems disconnected it doesn't work with me, its not dragon in game of thrones. Sure idol lovers will love this with the costumes and over made up face (the shallow qualities) but plot wise and executing its not very gripping for me and im about to drop it. I may stick it out for another few eps praying that things turn around but im not hopefuly.
I didn't even make it through two episodes of "In Bloom". Hated the make up. The storyline was annoying me and so was the acting. Really hoping to see something as good as Journey to Love soon.
- Burning Flames - people shouting at each other constantly .. sounds like a Micheal Bay movie - vocabulary!: did anybody knew that the english word "da.k" the one with an "r" in the middle has been ereased from the english language due to massive, uninspired overuse and is replace with the word "duck"!
Legend of Jewelry just finished filming as well, a Zhao Lusi and LiuYining drama series. Not sure what you have against ZLS but you are super negative on her projects, considering you feature so many other unknown, even sub-par actors, dramas on this vlog. You should at least be impartial and give mention to her projects as well.
Ju Jingyi surprisingly did great as an antagonist in the first few eps of In Blossom
For me, "In bloom" is so good. Worth watching.❤😍👍👌
May check it out
@alixchong9792 the plot is quite good except Ju Jingyi acting is pretty much the same when she did in Bloom In Ruyi Pavillion.
OMG, your hair is amazing! it took my breath away. I know we should talk about the drama world but true hair facts have to be said too.
i already watch in blossom up to ep7 i like the atmosphere
Meng Zi Yi and Li Yun Rui are both such pretty people, and that kiss where he's on a horse and leans down? SWOON lol, I'm looking forward to the drama, if only for that one particular scene!
Wang Hedi’s agent has been amazing. Looking forward to his improvement.
“Blossom” is the new “love” for English titles in Chinese dramas😂😂
i think you're right 😔
Not quite as common as "love". Maybe a new "legend".
Very likely Influenced by Wong Karwai's Shanghai Blossoms
In Blossom is really great. I'm hooked.
You always look great and fabulous Avenue X! You never disappoint with your work!
@@reny9221 ya hopefully she get to do another drama with the ML they both look so good together
I can’t wait for the legend of shen li and leilei’s movie😍😍😍
I am watching "Angels Fall Sometimes" and this drama makes me cry in every episode, all the characters all very impressive, deep and well written, it's drama that makes you feel that it's not about the Leads and every character in the drama are precious
Can't watch a drama without her review
War of Faith just aired today and looks very promising!
You loom beautiful Ms. X… really exuding femine energy
Ju jingyi❤❤
Burning flames is based on Feng shen ji on of the best manhua i've ever read and out of all the mentioned here
its the better one

Burning Flames, In Blossom both amazing drama
Burning flames❤❤

Story and script wise, In Blossom is better than Burning Flames. I have also dropped Burning Flames but In Blossom looks promising so far
De acuerdo. No puedo dejar de ver In Blossom, pero aún no consigo engancharme con Burning Flames.
Taking up, and leaving again.... Burning flames
The shouting is also my main peeve with it...
along with the affectation of the female "baddy's" voice...
A special mention for Peter Ho, whose brief appearance confirms he can act anything amazingly.

Your makeup suits you so well!

In Blossom is really worth watching, a lot of suspence in every episode so far.
Burning flames is a masterpiece ❤ some thing new and unique ❤❤😂
Angels fall sometimes is really good drama for this drought season of cdrama land. I cry almost every episodes after he was diagnosed with ALS😭
Your hair ❤

Zheng He Hui Ze is so underrated
I had exactly the same response after three episodes. The initial actress is interesting in body type, 'flawed' looks and endearing personality. The abrupt change to the now perfect face & sleek body shocked me as much as it seems to have affected the male lead.
I came across videos raving about her performance and chemistry with ML actor. Many comments saying the wedding episode is the "perfecting ending" for the drama.
i totally agree, felt that after JJY became the FL the intelligence of the FL went down 😂😅 maybe because she had a lot more expressions
I got bored in the first episode, tried to drag myself through the second but your comments make me glad I didn't bother
Your hair looks great!
Thanks for all the new updates. Will you discuss Xu Zheng Xi's announcement on Weibo about his retirement on your next video?
I was wondering about that too
Shocking news. One of my favourite male leads, but I agree he hasn't been getting the superior dramas he deserves.
Liu Xueyi rocks in In Blossom. Finally he got a 100% ML role. FL is her usual self, nothing new.
I would love to hear why Jeremy Xu decided to leave the industry...

Netflix's Three Body is here! I sincerely apologize to Tencent for criticizing their version of being too long XD

Looking forward to Legend of Shenli and tbh since it’s a xianxia drama it’s only natural they have skin smoothing effect
Hola! Quieres ver un gran drama? In Blossom. Suscripta. Great video.
I spat out my coffee watching the first episode of Burning Flames when I saw the exploding hair styles on the father and son. Watched three episodes of In Blossom and am already sad about the quick departure of Wu Jia Yi.
Not yet watch in blossoms but burning flames is good so far. CGI may not as good as Lyf or Lbfad but this series is worth to watch
Burning Flames seemed to change style completely during episodes 3-4. I thought the first couple of episodes had an interesting style and assumed it was going for a comic book feel, then it suddenly switched to a standard drama format. My brain started spinning and I smashed the delete button.
Please also talk about some of the dramas that you do enjoy, as I am looking for dramas to watch.

I continue watching Burning Flames just because it gives me nostalgia of xianxia/wuxia drama in the 90's 😂

Burning flames gets better if you're patient. I'm now at epidode 12 and enjoy it very much. And I'm not even a fan of manhua.
Burning Flames may be okay as a standalone, but having read the source material I couldn't help being annoyed by all the changes.
Really hoping to see something as good as Journey to Love soon.
In Blossom, I found Ju Jingyi's hair do and lipsgloss very annoying
Ju jingyi , again, she can't act, plus her makeup and clothing are the same every drama
- Burning Flames - people shouting at each other constantly .. sounds like a Micheal Bay movie
- vocabulary!: did anybody knew that the english word "da.k" the one with an "r" in the middle has been ereased from the english language due to massive, uninspired overuse and is replace with the word "duck"!
You do now that Ju Jingyi isn't deciding herself about the makeup in the series, right?
