Actually I didn't feel any promotional song in this, it feels more like an ending for their first step era. I feel like they didn't release this song expecting for it to be hit, they just want to spread their message and bring positivity. some fans are complaining why this song is so plain and simple or mediocre but I actually enjoyed listening to this. it somehow gives me random positivity lol

"My Treasure" definitely doesn't sound like their other three title tracks, but I really like the difference. The song sort of targets those who are struggling (as you mentioned) and basically just telling them everything's going to be okay. It definitely cheers you up when you hear it.
This song felt like a "happy ending" to their three-step debut and that's what I really loved about it. Just happy vibes, celebration, healing, and everything in between! Btw PD they will officially release their Japanese song "Beautiful" on February 14. It's an anime ost for Black Clover and it's indeed a beautiful song, I LITERALLY get goosebumps every time I listen to it. Hope you can check that out too.

I actually cried when i first heard Haruto's "never give up". This song is really healing not only for Teume but also everyone who gone through hard times in 2020 ❤️
You're actually right. This song is like a closure song for their "The First Step" series, in a positive and light manner. After this, they are moving towards promoting for Japan audience. This song is really addictive. Good to listen to on a sad day. Another song I would recommend that has a similar vibe to is Millions by WINNER. Go check it out. :)

I love Millions!! Winner truly has one of the most beautiful and different discographies in kpop. All YGA songs are perfect.

Indeed this album was the closing of the "TREASURE: THE FIRST STEP" era, so i think that's why it felt like a closing song :)

Thank you again PD for always supporting Treasure! This title track and the full album they just put out was indeed not a hard or "huge suprising" type of promotion as a new boy group. The Treasure member themselves said that this album and the new songs were gifts for the Treasure Makers(fans), as the fans have been non-stop supporting them since YG Treasure Box and also after debut. They decided to sort of repackage(I do agree of this term) the previous title tracks and add three more new songs with Going Crazy. And they put their First Step album as a gift for everyone. So we can just enjoy this first album that they had given us and wait for their next promotion in the near future! They have been working hard for the last six month since debut!
My Treasure sounds like the end credit song for a movie, where all the conflicts are resolved, lessons learnt and they lived happily ever after

I feel like this song is more of a "thank you" to the fans for being with them during the past 6 months of promotion instead of a "showcasing who we are" song (like BOY or ILY), which is a more meaningful way to wrap everything up, imo. At the end, the boys are always saying they want to be a healing group for their fans and that's exactly what My Treasure is: a healing song.

Yes, I definitely agree My Treasure feels like a finale kind of title track song and it is indeed a closure, wrapping up their Treasure effect first step series. It emphasises on the image they’re trying to put out - to bring positivive and cheerful energy to the world. I believe this is what they hope fans and non-fans remember them by, before they transition into another step of their journey.

"i love Mashiho's voice so much" yesss! ever since ygtb mashiho is my bias, sometimes at some point i was happy that mashisho is supposed to debut with yg's 2nd lineup, and tbh i prefer a group with less members, no hate all of the members, but sometimes i really just want to hear more of mashiho's voice throughout the whole song, junkyu and jeongwoo's voice too. like i also wish that atleast from their album there will be a song that's dedicated to the vocal team alone. Mashiho is a jampacked talent that yg found and i'm so happy he finally debuted

My Treasure for me was an extremely healing song, so I don't know if I could review it objectively. When the song and M/V came out, it really hit me in a way that was really positive coming on the heels of 2020 transitioning to 2021. For me, it felt like a light shining in a dark space. The day it came out, I was walking around the hospital where I work at lunch, and I practically skipped to this song the whole way. I've listened to this song everyday since. Watching the M/V with the song is even better, but I can't always do that. I've seen practically every live performance, and the joy with which TREASURE has performed this song just adds to how much I like. It definitely felt like a wrap up for their whole album, but definitely title worthy. I wish more love had been showed in general for this song, but I realized not everyone will have had the same response that I did. Sometimes I've been teary thinking about this song and TREASURE in general, but in a happy, joyful way. The entire album works for me from start to finish. I wish I could actually express to TREASURE how much delight their music has brought me. I wish them well and good health and success in the future. 💎

This song feels like a hug, but the type of hug where the other person is super happy and smiley when hugging you, and they look at you and say like "you got this" and afterwards you feel happier.

this is definitely more like an ending song which i like since it wraps up the whole treasure effect series and i also like that they're ending it in a happier and more chill note especially coming from all the boombastic music they've released months before.

Mashi's voice is really something. Unique voice that YGE is known for. It is like a calm, sweet and soothing voice. He is really a main vocalist material. Sadly, some fans only see him as a kijoring of the group. Idk if you already seen his performance on Dean's song Half Moon.?? Hope you could check it out if you didn't watch it yet.
People should know that Treasure is not a typical kpop group. other than kpop group. Treasure's has a blueprint, it has a map. before you go to the next step you need to start first at the first step.
Treasure is a Journey. It is a story. It's like a book. That's why their singles are called Chapters. Because it is a chapter of their first book wich is The First Step
I'm glad that Treasure released a song like My Treasure. I'm not a big fan of trendy Kpop songs so I like songs that I can relax to and sing along. This song is really healing and we really need a song like this now.

I loved this song so much. After all the shit COVID put us through last year, this song just seemed like the perfect track to soothe bruised and weary hearts. And usually, I don't like bubblegum so much because other groups come off too cute and cheesy, but Treasure just struck the right chord and balance to it all. This converted me into a Teume
As for someone who respects your opinion a lot, I’m glad that you liked ‘My Treasure’ and I liked ‘Orange’ but everyone has their own opinion. I respect yours.
I loved My Treasure much more than other similar songs released last year (which were based on covid) because it really speaks to ME.
This song was from a student and kids' perspective: happy, bubbly kids who suffered emotionally and psychologically after being stuck at home while everyone outside was dying. The entire song is optimistic saying"So what if its sad today? another day is soon gonna come which will make you happier than you had ever been!!" which is basically how non-adults are. Optimistic and hopeful because even though they're suffering and know the grim realities of covid, they don't yet have adult responsibilities to be pessimistic of the situation. Being hopeful is their cure and coping method.
This was supposed to be a very happy last year at high school but it turned out like this. Last week was my last day at HS. And I never got to see my friends who would be leaving for college later this year. It sucks. Terribly. But I'm still young and I still have entrance tests and future college life to look forward to. I still have to make endless mistakes and countless friends. Even in this grim time, I can make myself happy by thinking of the future...

my treasure is definitely my fav title track from them. i think out of all their songs, this is the brand they fit more.
they tried to make them so edgy early when i think something like going crazy and my treasure is what fits their age, their voices and their personalities more.
being a fan since tb, it felt weird to me how young some are but how edgy they wanted their brand to me.
