  • The tenth video in the series about the restoration of a 1990 GT Performer.
It's all smooth sailing, no chance there will be any disasters.
Also... the end was supposed to have "End Credits From Back To The Future Part III byAlan Silvestri" playing over it, but that was causing the video to be blocked in some countries, so I had to mute it. You Kiwis better appreciate the sacrifice we all just had to make for you.

The best thing about this video is how clean and tidy your workshop is

That sucks about your lever! Maybe someone can weld it and grind it smooth and you can repaint it. Awesome bike man!

Not worth it. Just buy new Tech 77's or something.. They're like 20 bucks a piece

You should of put 3 piece chrome redline flight cranks and sealed bearing pedals on it.

That thing looks phresh as hell! I love GT bikes, and I love Chrome. My chrome BMX is a Mongoose Menace, but I used to have an 86 Pro Performer with white 6 spoke mags, and currently own two GT mountain bikes.

Thanks! Chrome seems to look the best for vintage bikes, in my opinion anyway

Nice work, that's gotta ride like a brand new bike now. Can't believe you even put the reflectors back on, I don't think I would have the discipline for that. Sweet bike

The most important things you will need are the GT mags, Viscount 2188 seat, 1st gen Gyro and Bulldog Brakes. Best of luck!

I used it for the bearing cups in the head tube and bottom bracket. A hammer and piece of wood work pretty good too. Best of luck!

You shouldn't race to build a bike that's how you mess something up
