in the second example for nyquist plot i mean type 2 third order system, the plot encircles the -1 point in clockwise direction so N=0 i.e system is stable . Can anyone tell me is it correct or not?
In second example of Nyquist plot we have encirclement is 2 right And that pole is also 2 because of s^2 so that p1=0 and p2=0. So why became we P=0 consider and system is unstable?????? Any one have answers please tell me.
Mistake at 30:40 it is phase cross over frequency
Yup it is phase cross over freq
Very Good Lecture
how did the equation come at 36:18

@41:56..is the gain margin 1/2??
what is the answer plz??
no, gain margin is defined only for open loop stable systems
no encirclement of -1 and system is unstable??????????????
I also have the same doubt..this teacher has done so many mistakes
no. of encirclement should always be equal to P-Z... Z is equal =0 P=1 ( 1 open loop pole to the right half of s plane) 0!=1 therefore unstable
