Be aware of approaching storms, we just returned on Ovation of the seas ran into a huge storm and they canceled 3 stops a spent 3 hrs in Juneau, 2 days in Victoria.
We did the Disney Wonder Alaska cruise this August. Such a great time. We were on a whale watching tour and got to see 2 bear cubs playing by the water. So cute!
When I lived in Juneau Alaska, We would call the Sunny warm days trap days. Because people would see the Sunny and warm think that's the norm and then try and move there just to find out that 89% of the time. It's raining or foggy.

Lol, We went on an Alaskan Cruise in mid-July 2019, and yeah, no bears. It was amazing though! We loved it! The only excursion we went on was the Dog Sledding. Those dogs are so strong! I couldn't get over the color of the water though. Now I know why they call it "sea foam green".
My wife and I really want to go but are more last minute planners and that doesn't sound like this kind of trip. I think we will have to plan more like a year in advice when we are ready for this kind of trip since getting there from Philly could cost a good amount.
We loved that all the pool and adult only areas were covered in glass. So you could enjoy the sites, have a drink and relax without freezing while sailing!
I’m worried how many times you mentioned rough seas. We are doing an inside passage cruise with Princess in early June and I’ve been nervous about weather already. Now I’m worried about the seas!
It’s honestly 50/50, I’d recommend start taking some dramamine a day or two before boarding the ship and continue taking it daily. It has helped Taylor and friends of ours in case the ship does rock a little. But you should 💯 expect the ship to rock. It’s a cruise and sometimes it happens.
Just finished our third trip to Alaska on Celebrity Solstice for 9 days. Love it there and have booked to go again next May. We do go to lots of other destinations but Alaska is always calling us back.........🛳️
Thinking about booking the Solstice for next July- Inside passage! It would be our first time in this area and with celebrity cruises. Did you like the ship? Was it more for older folks or also for families with teenagers?

Did the Quantum of the Seas in August and had a great time. Highly recommend the Bering Sea Crab Fisherman's tour in Ketchikan...

You don’t have to plan a year in advance, we just booked our Alaskan cruise march 30 for a cruise leaving august 13 this year.

A whale is the only mammal that I would love to see. Having it breach the water next to your boat would be awesome.
