9-Time Grammy Winner, talented composed, acclaimed performer, Wynton Marsalis is one of the true musical legends of our time. With hin arrival on the music scene in 1982 as a teenager, this trumpet prodigy displayed an ease with both jazz and classical music. Since that time, Marsalis almost single-handedly initiated a revival in mainstream jazz among younger musicians. In 1997 he won the Pulitzer Prize of music, a first for a jazz musician.
In IN THIS HOUSE, ON THIS MORNING, Wynton Marsalis takes his music to a whole new level of creativity. Following the structure of an African-American church service, Marsalis and his talented Septet delve into numbers that reflect a profound connection between the religious experience and a musical one. At once spiritual and upbeat, then meditative and inspired, this compilation is an extraordinary musical performance like no other. - เพลง
This has to be my favorite incarnation of Wynton's group. No one can swing like Herlin Riley!
sublime.....2 hours of stunning music.......the way church should be
Eric Reed perfect pianist I'm a fan
Yes, Marsallis is a student right?
Saw Wynton and ensemble play this at Christian Unity Church, might have been only time his Grandmother saw him play....WE HAD CHURCH ON THIS ONE!!
WM toujours la très grande classe !!!
Bloody brilliant 👍
Thanks for this upload!!!....
Thanks for the upload. Recessional is one of my inspirational songs. I first heard it on SA fm on The Evergreen Jazz hosted by the humble Ike Phaahla way back in 2004.
Brilliant Staff!!!
Amazing...
Melodiously hymnal indeed. It's like being in church..
good job
I saw 'In This House' when he played at The Albert Hall in London back in the early 90's. One word... excellent.
...1993 Proms, great gig. Same piece, different tempo and feel - remarkable when you realise the entire thing was a 'work in progress'.
In the sweet embrace of God !
...close, @@keithphilbin3054 - "In The Sweet Embrace Of Life".
@@illitrait I like you x
...sorry for the pedantry, @@keithphilbin3054 - I actually tried to let it slide. Honest!😬
Thank you so much LM for sharing, but i also suggest you to see Wynton Marsalis at Royal Albert hall 1993. enjoy !
God of jazz
Aleks... shut tha FUCK up. Play the goddamn records, and don't say nuthin'.
Enjoyed this recording, thanks! 👍🏾
1:30:05 sooo good
Très bien
Marsalis desperta o corpo e sacode a alma.
Bro, this is from 1992

Good
1:25:00 Holy Ghost
This version of holy ghost is not in the tidal album...
これ2006なわけないだろ!

ういんういんういんういんとんとんとんとん
Wynton is making that horn scream....not pretty....haha
Dont like this New Orleans tradicional jazz that they in some songs but Marsallis is fantastic
Boring like 50% that marsallis shows. To much tradicional to much winds.
What do u consider exciting Bruce Springsteen lol
...do you think Western classical music is 50% boring, Marcius Viana?
Well a lot of trad jazz is blown, like... winds 🤔
Sorry to disagree! Wynton uses "gospel" form (like Coltrane in "A Love Supreme") in a "modal" mood. That's not "trad" as you may think.
