Most Enchanting and Enthralling Concert. !! Very High Standard and Proficiency in handling Ragas and Niraval singing as well as Swara singing. !! Most Brilliant Violin Recital by Ramakrishnan, match his Singing in every respect and added so much of Charm and Beauty to the entire concert. !! Good percussion as well. !! On the whole one of the Most Enjoyable Concerts in this season. !!
What a coincidence, when KVN Sir visited Vancouver , Canada about 35 years ago, his concert comprised of same songs including Thillana whar Ashwath took today to sing.
A superlative concert by vidwan aswath narayanan. (Hearing him after a long time) A neat & calm presentation by the Vidwan in his own inimitable style.👍 starting with a varnam in nattakurinji (chalamela jesevayya), he moved on to shanmukhapriya (siddhi vinayakam), sAmA (manasa sanchararE) chintamani (devi brOva - reminding us of KVN) hindolam (mA ramanan) and then the main chakravAkam (etula brotuvO - a poignant kriti by the saint where he pities himself how perumAL is going to save him), kanaka dasa's rAgamAlikA - basant+ SB + durga (yAdavarAya), behag (vande mAtaram) & a, tillana in chenchurutti 👏 The violin support by Vidwan L.Ramakrishnan, as usual, is excellent. The percussion support by Vidwan NC Bharadwaj (mridangam) & Vidwan S Krishna (ghatam) was very soothing 👍 Thanks due to Nada Inbam for bringing it live 🙏
I was wondering why i see shades of KVN and then I see this when I googled . AWESOME !! Ashwath Narayanan started learning carnatic music from the veteran musician (late) Palghat K V Narayanaswamy and post his demise, he has been under the tutelage of Smt. Padma Narayanaswamy. Ashwath`s music is known for its chaste classicism, pitch perfection, good pronunciation and extreme dynamics. He has won several awards and accolades, and is a B (high) grade artist of All India Radio, Chennai. Ashwath regularly performs all over India and has toured the US performing with various artistes.
Nice selection of Sama and Chinthmani raga songs The entire team exhibited their talents to achieve perfect Symphony and harmony of purpose This is very much highlighted in Chin than a no song

My favourite singer. Admire and adore him. Great vidwath and manodharmam. What a stage presence. Handsome too. Lovely Lakshminarayanan with his smiling face and mastery over the most difficult instrument.
Why don’t singers treat Tamil with respect by including a major kruthi after an alapana. Include neraval and swarams. Why not.? Ashwath, you could have rendered Hindolam with alapana, Ma Ramanan with neraval and swarams. Come on respect great Tamil composers.
