Hello everyone, I wanted to first and foremost apologize for my lack of comments on the last several videos. I have not spent a lot of time on youtube and have therefore missed them. But fear not. I am still here. I am still SoCalGarbageTrucks' #1 fan. I do not know where this video is filmed (because I don't read the description) but the streets remind me of England so I like that. I also like how this truck is capable of dumping two cans at once. That part is also cool. Anyway, I have to go now. Sincerely, Mrs. SoCalGarbageTrucks

A wonderful era this was, wish I was in the filming scene when it was like this. I dig these throwback videos! Such a badass machine and something impossible to find nowadays. I always wonder how these companies would have continued without the franchising BS. Excellent work!

Seeing another youtuber’s unload of a modern Heil 5000 today just underscores how badass these things were. Even at the end of their life they were packing fast and strong, I would have loved to ask how much weight they could fit on those doing recycle. The sound is so classic it’s almost surreal. Everything from the metallic sounding idle to the air brakes to that weird old pump sound when they use the tippers that front loaders from the 50s to this era had. And when they cycle the hopper that pump is reminiscent of many of the old Escondido trucks. What would I see picking up those stops today?

These were cool units and a neat method of collection. What came of these trucks after RecycleLA and is NASA still around? Also neat catch with the Kei truck at 5:45. I dig those little things, wish they were street legal in Michigan.

NASA is still around and (from my knowledge) does more residential collection these days
