Twenty years ago in October of 2000, I had one of the single greatest honors of my life. For 4 months, from October to February, I got to introduce the world to the Peter Simmonds in the Hudson Theatre premier of “Bare: A Pop Opera”, written by my friends Damon Intrabartolo and Jon Hartmere.
In 2013 we lost Damon. And today would have been his 45th birthday. If you knew him, you know that he was an absolute firecracker, tons of trouble, and a joy to be around.
So to honor my friend (and at the great suggestion of my friend Melanie Dimmick), I dusted off this truly masterful piece of writing from the show.
