The first bunch of Master's songs with the original 1965/1966 band remain some of my favourites from the 60's Australian era, and Jim Keays was still putting in very good performances of them right up close before his death. The bloke was born to rock.

UNDECIDED is one of the great classics of Aussie Rock. Jim Keays was a fun performer to watch. His enjoyment was always an attractive quality. The Master's Apprentices were the apprentices to the blues masters in the 60s like most other bands then because it was through the great blues players that white boys in England and Australia learned to rock.

The Masters practised at the bottom of Foster Street in Allenby Gardens in the carport of Gavin Webb's parents. Gavin was their bass player around '66. 200metres from my house. We'd stand around at the end of Fosters street on a Friday night and listen. Great times. I was 15/16 when they practised there.

      How cool 😎
I love hearing/reading people's little anecdotes like that. Makes you realize that good talent abounds, even in your own neighbourhood and that they're just ordinary people, not unapproachable or your goals aren't unachievable. 😘👌💖

How good is the Rockwiz Orkestra? Jim Keays released 'Undecided' back in the mid 60's with the Masters Apprentices, 45 years later still sounds so tough. It doesn't seem fair that someone of my generation should still have such a robust head of hair, mine is somewhat less than that.....
