    Gracias, Ruth! You're GOD-SENT! I enjoy how you explain the logic behind your videos which is sometimes missing from most videos.

    Hi Ruth, thanks for your video. Question: Is it better to create variables then standalone measures (measures which won't be used anywhere else)? Looking in advance for your feedback. Thanks

    Mil gracias Ruth por tus vídeos, son fundamentales para aprender Power Bi. Una pregunta, ¿podemos utilizar variables ya creadas en otra medida diferente? Gracias!!

    Very helpful video Ruth. Like you mentioned in this video, can you please provide the link to how to write a DAX in a proper format which is easily readable. I know most write DAX is a continuous line & do not arrange or format it accordingly.

    Hi Ruth, Can you please clarify when to use VAR inside a formula/ expression (VAR is declared before CALCULATE or after it) or outside it. I understand this creates lots of confusion and can impact the numbers integrity.

    Thank you Ruth, can you please help on , how can I use a Measure in a DAX formula? For example... Column 2= CONTAINSSTRING(Table1[Column1],[Measure]) if I use this it will show TRUE regardless if Column1 contains or not the [Measure], the way arround I came up with is an NON INTERACTIVE alternative is to use the text this means Column 2= CONTAINSSTRING(Table1[Column1],"A") this works fine but is not Interactive. Thanks for sharing your knowledge

      Im exercising what I learn from you in this video, again tank you, still Not working in what Im trying to do, for example:
      Condition2 = VAR Texto = [Measure 2]
      RETURN
      CONCATENATE(Texto,1)
      Unfortunately the result is 1, what I'm expecting is to see is "what ever is in Measure 2 1"
      Thanks for your help

    Hi Ruth. My code is now looking professional. Is there any performance gain, by combining multiple separate measures into one single measure (with these separate measures defined as variables)? I want to get into good habits 😄

      +bridgemasterx Great question! I am planing to do a performance video in a few weeks, I will make sure to touch your question.

    Great video - do you think it's worth having 1 measure into which you store all your variables so that if you need to go looking for them they are all in 1 place?

    • @CurbalEN
      @CurbalEN  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +DataSpinners Hi Dataspinners, it sounds like a good idea, have you tried it?
      I know some people creaste tables to store all measures, so why not?
      Have a great weekend!

      You cannot refer to a variable which is created in another measure.

    Hi Ruth, thanks for the Video! I am new in PBI and DAX, and kind of got lost in the formula you have used. No need for a new video or such, Just write a few words in the reply of what is happening after the DATESBETWEEN Syntax.. any feedback from your other followers are welcome too. Many Thanks in Advance
