    Hi Gigi! THANK YOU for helping me get an L7 offer this week! All of your videos and your Day1 material were incredibly helpful. I watched them all over the course of two weeks and downloaded content from Day 1 (great stuff). I honestly thought I blew it when my last interviewer was clearly the bar raiser and I'd used all of my best examples that had good metrics. The only thing I'd do different is come prepared with 15 solid success stories that all have really good metrics so I don't have to think of any "good" ones at the last minute. I had mapped each Leadership Principles to one of my success stories in the STAR format. And I had mapped potential questions mentioned, as well. But I wish I'd also worked it backwards and just picked enough DIFFERENT great success stories with metrics and THEN applied leadership principles so I would have had enough variety of examples on tap. Either way, I feel like your preparation videos made all the difference and am sincerely grateful.

    Always keep in mind one thing..expect the unexpected....for example you may be ready to tell your first story and you get asked "What are your KPIs in the organization"....and moreover one will never be asked "Tell me a situation where you have shown customer obsession"...it will be twisted enough to such an extent that when you actually start narrating multiple leadership principles will come and overlap with one another..
    Bottom line ...package your stories well and then take a minute pause to map to that twisted question.

    Just had my TPM interview this past Friday. I performed a lot of these steps in preparation for the interviews, I also took copious notes as to better evolve my approach and answers with each interview (5 interview gauntlet). From my (limited) experience, this is very valuable advice and although I found it 24-72 hours too late, it gives me comfort in knowing I was headed in the right direction. 10/10

    I’ve watched many of these types of interviews, but your framework is the clearest and most succinct.
    I have a follow-up question for you. I just advanced from the assessments to my first phone interview. I’m able to pick three separate dates. However, My grandmother just passed away so I’m busy with the funeral for the next few days. Is it terribly bad to push the date out 1.5 weeks? Should I reach out an explain my decision to schedule so far out?

I am not going for a managerial position, do you think I can skip preparing for these principles. If not, any suggestions to over overcome my struggle?

Honestly, half of the seconds is to calm my nerves, really. And I observed that this gave me enough time to calm down, collect my thoughts and perfectly deliver the answer without going off track. • @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503
      @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I say get rid of anything that IS NOT contextual or behavioural. Contextual means any information that is needed to make the story make sense. For example “I stubbed my toe”= context “I screamed and swore like a sailor”= behaviour.
      If I told you “I screamed and swore like a sailor” - it lacks any context as to what was going on that led to that behaviour so it doesn’t make sense.

    Hi GG, a very quick question on this. Will I be asked same questions by all the interviewers across the 5 rounds? As in the first round itself I was asked most of the questions by the hiring manager. Can I repeat same examples at least couple of times across all the 5 interview rounds? How do I understand that I am giving a bar raiser round vs one of the 5 rounds? Can I use some personal life situations or everything has to be part of my professional life?

      Hey Ankur- I know not making it can be really hard. There's a large chunk of luck that goes along with interviewing so it may have just not been your day.
      Yes I do offer 1:2:1 support. Here's some info. If we don't cross paths, I wish you the very best of luck.
      -90min full mock interview- covering 3-4 Behavioural Questions and feedback. Fee $250 calendly.com/ggpersonalservices/90minmockinterview
      -60min 1:2:1 Personal coaching- covering any specific elements of personal and interview support you require (not for use to do mocks). Fee$200 calendly.com/ggpersonalservices/60-min-1-2-1-interview-coaching

    Hi GG,
    I am still in the interview process, my second interview is this week. i went to the job description and it seems that the job opening on which i applied is now deactivated. Is it normal? What can i expect ?

    • @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503
      @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Normal as in does it happen in the majority of cases….no. Does it sometimes happen…yes. A few possibilities 1) they’re reprioritising the recruiters time and are pausing bringing new people into the pipeline 2) the JD is being updated 3) they’ve filled the role. If the role is filled you’d hear about it pretty quickly

      The average candidate preps 20-30 hrs. How many days this takes is of course dependant on how many hours you do a day.
