  • Shady Glen opened in 1948 and is home to the winged cheeseburger aka "crispy cheese" which you can literally get served on a plate. We grew up eating here and we wanted to try it again to see if it's truly iconic or just overrated. What do you think the verdict is??

2 years and 300 pound later. Girls will be beasts in 5 years. Nothing wrong with it. I love this channel. But damn these girls can eat.

Loved here 15 years ago, and I’m 23 now. Used to go sledding on the big hill next to the library, and old 7-11. I miss Manchester.

Love me some Shady Glen! Lived in Manchester for a long time and I still go hit it up when I'm in town. How about Harry's Place in Colchester? Supposedly super iconic but I think highly overrated. I'd love your take on it???

Y’all didn’t mention that they sell the coleslaw in 1 to 5 lbs buckets. I grew up in Coventry. As one gets older you begin to develop a taste for cabbage. If your looking for destinations that would create interesting content, I suggest going to Plymouth, MA to the Yellow Deli. The food is excellent. The Atmosphere is amazing. Prices are very reasonable….BUT. It’s run by a Controversial Christian Cult that used to evangelize at Grateful Dead shows back in the 80s and 90s. They are harmless and yet very dangerous. Go during lunch, it will be busy and you’ll get a good “feel” of the place. The walls are all painted to tell stories of the Pilgrims and stuff like that. They have a website. Keep it up. Remember to Smile.
