    Updated traits: Stack Latent Poison and other general traits like Thunderous Blast.

      stacking 3 latent was big. But not sure if it still is good as of today...

    What about dagger in the back and thunderous blast? Those 2 traits are OP rn

    • @skillcappedwowpvp
      @skillcappedwowpvp  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      While Dagger in the Back may provide an overall damage increase - that increase is comparable to Blur of Talons, which provides the highest possible burst windows, something that's very important in PvP.
      So, if you're unable to obtain Blur of Talons then Dagger in the Back is a great alternative for the damage increase. Just remember that you should still be looking to get Blur for that increased burst. The same thing applies to Thunderous Blast.

    Hi. Does bleeds from rogues cancel the root for trackers net?

  • @javedh2053
    @javedh2053 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    6:33, can you explain how to use trackers net to kill a monk through karma.

    • @skillcappedwowpvp
      @skillcappedwowpvp  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because Tracker's Net gives them an 80% miss chance, you can go through the initial part of Touch of Karma without the risk of taking a ton of damage back. Of course the Tracker's Net will break after dealing some damage to them, so this strategy is most potent when the monk uses Touch of Karma while they are really low and are actually in danger of dying if you quickly go through their Touch of Karma.

      @cody7210 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This doesn't work...trackers net breaks from ANY damage. It's not like mage root or even poly which is forgiving. Literally 1 damage Breaks it.

    no thoughts on latent poison for arena? they burst switch is insane

    • @skillcappedwowpvp
      @skillcappedwowpvp  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dilly says that it's decent dps and can turn into burst if you've not been in range of your target for a while. It will probably be best in comps like boomkin + survival hunter where you swap more and have decent spread damage, otherwise on single target it's just a small dps increase and there are other options for increasing your burst.

    Mastery is the worst stat!? Can you explain why? Also in video there is old mastery from early beta (now it gives % more dmg on resorcie spenders + health per second)

    • @skillcappedwowpvp
      @skillcappedwowpvp  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mastery still does the same thing as on beta - it's worst for DPS and the health per second hardly goes up for each mastery point.

    • @jake384100
      @jake384100 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Even with the DR it just ends up giving you straight up less damage per point of mastery than any other stat.
      If they buffed the mastery it might be worth taking, but they'd need to either make it affect ALL abilities (since literally half your rotation isn't affected by mastery since they don't spend focus). Or, they could give it a hearty increase.
      Honestly, though? I'd hate if I had to stack mastery. Survival's rotational fluidity is very, very, very reliant on haste, otherwise you can run out of steam very easily and end up stuck waiting for cooldowns or passive focus gen.
      Another problem is that we have so much shit affected by haste so heavily that it opens up completely new rotational options to have it stacked up to a certain percentage. It let's you have to reapply dots less often, it reduces CD's (which honestly are probably an eense too high baseline) and it makes your rotation so much cleaner by letting you fit either: more KC's in before you have to dump focus into tip of the spear, or way, way, way more mongoose bites before coordinated assault ends.
      If they wanted mastery to be usable, they'd have to completely scrap what it is now, and make it something that helps with our sometimes starved resource generation (((kinda like old legion sv mastery generating more MB charges))) to make it in any way competitive with haste which just gives us so much benefit.

  • @xxMurmaiderxx
    @xxMurmaiderxx 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    What do you think about Mastery now that it's not using Legion's version and actually increases damage?

    • @skillcappedwowpvp
      @skillcappedwowpvp  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It just doesn't do enough damage to be relevant and provides the worst value out of all survival hunter secondary stats.

    Awesome guide, what 3s comps do you think survival will be good in?

    • @skillcappedwowpvp
      @skillcappedwowpvp  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's really tricky to make any calls on comps right now as we don't have a live ladder where people are developing a meta.

      Thug from what i've seen so far is pretty insane.

  • @WoWFtw8
    @WoWFtw8 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    viper sting is completely useless since you can just get a pet with permanent greivous wound attack.. 10sec duration on a 6s cd + Master's Call if you're using a raptor.
    also if you viper sting a mage who's casting poly, is the poly still gonna go off or is his target getting polyd and then he gets silenced?

    • @skillcappedwowpvp
      @skillcappedwowpvp  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The healing reduction from Viper Sting stacks with the healing reduction from your pet as it reduces healing done and not healing taken.
      As for your question about Spider Sting, the mage will be able to finish casting their Polymorph before getting silenced.

    Doesn't Viper's Venom leave you focus starved?

    • @skillcappedwowpvp
      @skillcappedwowpvp  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, it's actually the most focus efficient talent as long as you are properly weaving kill commands into your rotation.

    • @Marvelmar86
      @Marvelmar86 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I feel the same way. I play hunter main and i like alpha predator more, maybe haste needs to get higher for me to enjoy vipers venom

    • @jake384100
      @jake384100 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It honestly depends on your secondaries. The more haste you have, the better viper's venom will be. There's a certain threshold where getting free reapplications of serpent sting (which you probably wanna keep up almost 100%) will out value the couple of extra kill commands that you get from alpha predator.
      Depends really heavily on GCD length.

    • @clayxros576
      @clayxros576 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I get nearly zero Viper Venom procs when I use it so it is a near worthless talent for me.
