I agree that in most cases warm compresses at home will do the trick. That would also be the advice of the doctor unless it takes along time to heal, causes fevers, effects eyesight, etc.
Was about to post that I’ve always taken care of my own with a sterilized safety pin. When you grow up very poor you learn how to take care of yourself.
The patients must feel so much better afterward, I remember getting a sty in my right eye (my good one) and had to keep it closed until it healed. Unfortunately my left eye is can’t even read out of.
Did you know Optometrists & Ophthalmologists in the US prescribe Omega Fatty Acids for most Styes now. I was having multiple Styes frequently and the Dr prescribed Flaxseed oil supplements OTC for me and the Styes stopped. Not saying to do this but talk to your Dr. because it worked for me and works for thousands of people. 😊

I think those are actually milia. Aren’t sty’s where the eyelash follicle is infected?!
A stye is caused by an infection of the eyelid gland, not the eyelash follicles.
