Ive been following Marcs story and im excited to see what comes of this! Marc is extremely brave, i feel grateful for what he is doing and I recognize his sacrifice . I wish him the best of luck
Mad respect for Marc...he’s dogged, principled, & is a problem solver. But my biggest respect for him is his commitment to seeing his son’s life being as fulfilled as possible!!
There shouldve been some tougher questions from Raoul on the Tzero stuff. Clearly there are a myriad of risks to Marcs thesis and those should've been discussed more. I love Raoul but I have noticed he can be a bit too agreeable with guests.
Brilliant stuff. Back in the late 90's David Bowie issued Bowie Bonds which ran for about 7 years. Similar thinking to this 25 years ahead of his time.
Speaking of RV...just not seeing how AirBNB is going to succeed in the RV biz, when there are PLENTY of RV rental companies out there??? People BUY RVs because they have that annoying family member that they just don't want living in their house. AirBNB is failing for the small investor and has supported housing bubble 2.0 well beyond the expected bust. I live next to Yosemite--the only reason why the RV biz was successful this summer is because NOBODY would get in a commercial jet or go to a theme park IF you could find one open. Mark is a genius, but RV rentals are popular in mediocre to great economies, not in fake, asset-influenced, jobless recoveries.
for your science fiction notebook: 30 years from now, a large portion of a city's population has a lot os assets invested on a Michael Jordan-level player. Then such player is caught on camera murdering someone. Would we expected some demonstrations for a "not-guilt" decision in order to preserve the investment?
Whole heartedly agree with the huge market opportunity for blockchain applications and token-based economics. A global public ledger with worldwide witnesses can actually have positive ethical impact on the quality of information.
Guys like this are going to get wrecked in crypto, they don’t understand how quick technology moves or how sentiment changes. Listening to him talk he is just regurgitating stuff he’s been told. He has no technical grasp of the market.
John Smith well if they’re applying for a brokers license I’d imagine they are fairly centralised. Look at IDEX exchange, was the most popular non custodial dex from 2017 after eth delta. They went down the route of KYC and getting registered as a broker dealer and they got absolutely wrecked. Daily volume on the exchange is now in the hundreds of thousands not millions like it was. And it’s getting left behind by these decentralised swap protocols. The market chose unregulated decentralised exchanges on a public blockchain protocol..... I’m not saying that there won’t be a need for governed centralised entities to manage tokenising stuff like real estate for example, initially ... but it will all still need to done on a public blockchain. And ultimately the goal would be to make it as decentralised as possible, using DOA’s. Best way to be invested in crypto at the moment is to use the volatility to make gains... invest in projects early and get your initial investment out at the first opportunity you get. You need to cast a wide net... pinning all your hopes on one project is a quick way to go broke.
JonnyC321 thNks m8. Yeah, tokenizing real estate, first i heard of that was from libertarians who had a pipedream that they could not have a need for city hall if they could just keep the records on a blockchain. But im like: “lol, the house is still right there for the local gov to come snd seize or tax or whatever regardless of what you have secured by a private key.” But i understand that this guy is talking about ways to do ownership/profit sharing on smaller and random things besides like a traded company in an automated fashion, and this is an interesting thought
a simple solution is letting the video playing on the background while you do something else. Then it goes over the ads, you rewind the video and you can replay it without the ads.
The difference between voting and banking: Banking is just money, a bad (fraudulent or not) entry on a banking account can easily be coped with by the institution and very reasonably insured. Particularly, it would affect the client and be a writeoffable occurrence for the bank. A large enough transaction, in which the risk is too large for the bank to face alone, would probably be surrounded by verification or guarantees. A voting blockchain solution would have to be assumed as infalible. Then any allegation of a bad entry in an election would not be accepted and probably not verifiable. How would one correct a bad entry on that such solution.
I certainly believe in the concept of tokenization - as Fleck said, it's "clean". But the devil is in the details. One problem I see is that legal games will be played with tokens - essentially clawing back the value proposition sold originally to investors. Movie studios continue to play these games with points - why will this be different for star athletes, the Golden Gate Bridge, etc.?
Those pushed out of housing and those that can’t afford housing are buying RV’s. Nature of gig economy means mobility is golden. Wall Street types don’t get it.
Wow, how many gify cards can fit in a shoe box? Maybe 5 hundreds would take up less volume and they couldn't be electronically switched off. Then again not have a place to launder your 100 dollar bills makes a $500 gift card much more attractive, if perhaps only for the short term.

The man (Nick Taleb) who created the term "black swan" himself said the Covid 19 pandemic was not a black swan, but rather a white swan, because it was predictable. People saw bad things happening in China at the beginning of the year. The signs were there long before. Most just ignored the red flag reports.
I mean, thats what im feeling like... “...i think something us up!!!...” he says, its like knicker, you say you are chummy w this RV guy, but now you are like wildly speculating, give him a call? Or are you just looking for bag holders with your fantastic implications?...

It takes cajones to be Cohodes.
I really like this interview. I'm new to Real Vision and following macro economics with Raoul Pal. Amazed at the insight these guys have.
Mark Cohodes is one of the best people I have ever come across. I met him and his son Max a bit ago. Just great people. Real.

Agree. Its was like just letting this guy talk his books. I dont think rauol is qualified to discuss these non btc crypto things

Mr. Cohodes is a stud. Thank you for the iinterview
In the interview, was Overstocks better model, illustrated?
I didn’t hear, how it’s a better, more efficient, distributor of product?
So glad I stopped by!
US Folks say buy an RV to escape BLM urban riot spells, go countryside.
That's exactly what my in laws did.
Overstock takes BTC... So I've always had that in the back of my mind..
I know what im buying in the morning... thank you, Tzero is not available on Webulls platform, i Will check TD ameritrade.
Dino Financial Group is the trading platform that I use.
They have it on ETrade
Wasn’t Steve Byrne right about the spy?
he was
Shares available for Real Vision?
The tokenising he is talking about is similar to the company sologenics?
BZ, keep up the fight against corporate orate fraud and BZ Raoul for airing this issue. Every long bull market ends with a ponzi, or fraud case.

Is tokenizing just another word for securitizing? I still don't understand the difference?
@@gwills24 There are an array of blockchain applications. Tokens are one. Securitized tokens are yet a subset of that.
Fascinating watch. Best yet. Well done.
Right after you tokenize human life you can send people into a Colosseum with lions and bears and bet on the outcome.
People sentenced to death row should be allowed the option.
Thanks for a wonderful interview, by a brilliant interviewer
This interview was so much fun.

Fantastic conversation. Can't buy tZERO (TZROP) on Robinhood yet (say's Joe Six-Pack) :( lol

@Rochelle Collins you will be glad you didn't

This guy is full of it a bit because I worked at Ben and Jerrys and most people actually order vanilla ice cream.
60% still prefer regular vanilla.
But do you want to tokenize vanilla flavor? 🤔
ltorrison1 that would not make much sense.
Tokens only have value if they provide a service that reduces the cost or fluidity of transactions.
Or increases fluidity*
