If Punk doesn’t appear at All Out on September 5 then he’s never coming back. I can see Bryan Danielson debuting on Rampage in Chicago.

If you listened to all the rumors of Punk returning over the years compared to this time its getting obvious that Punk will debut in AEW, usually Punk just denies it right away when a rumor happens and Tony Khan just said this in an interview:
"Of course, I think everyone knows what to expect on the second episode of Rampage, which is titled ‘The First Dance.’ And I expect the anticipation will continue to build.”
It could be Daniel Bryan’s debut he’s referring to.
And it's on Chicago, Illinois... CM Punk's Hometown...

Don't be too sure about it. Now yeah, most things seem to be pointing towards him actually debuting but you never know it can just be some bamboozle. Daniel Bryan is definitely confirmed, but CM Punk is only being stirred by rumors.

Punk is trying to do a good job of deflecting but you can kind of tell by the words he chooses how he sounds like he's trying to be very careful in his language and in his body language how his face reacts in his body reacts to the questions and what he saying I think we're going to see CM Punk in aew.

it reminds me years ago when Punk left WWE. Jericho did approach Punk for his podcast but Punk replied that Jericho has agenda for his approach. This caused mini heat between them. Interesting to see they come together now under a same company. And yes, don't forget Colt Cobana is there too lol

It is the expectation, though they could always swerve and debut Bryan Danielson since he too is reported to have signed with AEW. But it is highly expected CM Punk will debut with the company within the next month between now and All Out in Chicago at some point.

Darby does remind me of ROH-era Punk though. I even said that when he first started with that title match against Jericho in 2019. Kinda appropriate that he'd fight Darby as his first match back. They're both really intense guys who are obsessed with their character and their ring work.

Let me check my schedule, I might possibly maybe have something else going on that day. Whether on the 20th, or at All Out, there is no doubt that CM Punk is AEW confirmed. Bryan Danielson will have to come in later, because they can't have him overshadow CM Punk's return in his home city of Chicago.
If you think Punk would let them allude to him showing up and making all those references and get away with it, you are mad. It would also be the first time he ever did. He praised Darby so much and even mentioned DB. He's coming!

When punk answered fan automatically transform into Sherlock Holmes all of sudden and I love it 😂. Been a fan of punk since ROH. Quit watching wwe after he left and undertaker loses his streak. The tension and presence in the show wasn't there and the holy streak of the undertaker that should be respected and kept high of all wrestling just wasn't there anymore. Thanks God aew is born!
This interview low key explains Punks return to wrestling - taking on a movie role of a wrestler seems to have re-ignited his passion for it, and seeing that AEW are not flash-in-the-pans, being paid handsomely to work a light schedule and the opportunity to give Vince the bird - how could he turn it down?

I thought his passion to perform in the ring was dead. It only took me till now to believe he's coming back to the ring because of the the easter eggs he's dropped on his IG stories. Also, back then when they'd ask him, he would flat out say no. Thats not the case now. He's also said he wouldn't want to lead his fans on like that if he really wasn't returning.
