La la la la la la la la la la Well they tell me drugs don't pay And they say that there's no use But I got a couple friends that say that that's not true And they got wallets full of proof I needed the money and it was nothing more Than a little self-centered, self enhated youth And now I'm in trouble, I'm leaving tomorrow And I am taking you La la la la la la la la la la And I know what he's saying couldn't have been that funny But you seem to be laughing quite loud So I will sit and think of reasons that you think that it's funny But I will probably never figure it out And you tell me that you're staying But I know what you say ain't true And then I thought I'd try to catch you with friction of both our bodies But then remembered that I was way too smooth La la la la la la la la la la
usually im never one of the "i liked the original better" people but i have to say the remake of this song does not have the same vibe as the original at all which is sad cus this was my favorite tfb song for so long :(
honestly i usually tend to be pretty picky about remakes of songs, especially tfb remakes cause ive been listening to these originals for so long and they have meant so much to me. but i genuinely think this remake does a very good job of expressing the feeling of this song with their current musical language, which yeah is quite different from this era. but this EP certainly seems a lot closer to it and the energy of it than anything on going grey or even back on top did. listening to this and the winds on theresa made me extremely nostalgic and made me feel like a young teenager listening to my grandma vs pneumonia and brothers cant be friends over and over again. obviously its quite different and doesn't perfectly match the vibe but i feel like its the closest modern front bottoms could get and i think its a very authentic take on this song. not to say your interpretation and opinion of it are wrong or anything because this is very subjective! just wanted to share my feelings about it
@@elladumpsterfire thats fair. usually i agree with you, ive been a fan of all their recent stuff 100%, but i think they just changed supply power sooo much like it feels like they were embarrassed of half the lyrics just being "lalala" but thats why i liked this song its the peak unproduced unprofessional vibes of all their old stuff. but i can always just listen to the old version, i wish they would put the original versions on spotify though
i have listened to this song everyday between 2 and 10 times for over a month.

La la la la la la la la la la
Well they tell me drugs don't pay
And they say that there's no use
But I got a couple friends that say that that's not true
And they got wallets full of proof
I needed the money and it was nothing more
Than a little self-centered, self enhated youth
And now I'm in trouble, I'm leaving tomorrow
And I am taking you
La la la la la la la la la la
And I know what he's saying couldn't have been that funny
But you seem to be laughing quite loud
So I will sit and think of reasons that you think that it's funny
But I will probably never figure it out
And you tell me that you're staying
But I know what you say ain't true
And then I thought I'd try to catch you with friction of both our bodies
But then remembered that I was way too smooth
La la la la la la la la la la
and now I'm in trouble, I'm leaving tomorrow, and I am taking you
