In Baby Mario’s homework (rebooted), there was a question saying Luigi owes $9000 to the IRS. I thought that was a joke for the video, but I guess it wasn’t

Baby Mario in Baby Luigi Mania
Plot: Someone turned everyone on earth (excluding Baby Mario) into Baby Luigi. Baby Mario interrogates Bowser and Kamek and learn that they have nothing to do with it. Turns out Popple is responsible and Battles Baby Mario, Bowser, and Kamek. And they almost end up losing. But Mario comes and gets destroyed by Popple's rookie. Baby Luigi arrives and barely defeats Popple and his froggy rookie.

I’m sorry if you’re offended by me doing something different with Luigi than other plush videos. Need I remind you, the original story is that Luigi and Daisy raised their child in secrecy to deal with a minor threat in the future and then they just gave him up to Mario’s family. It was a really melodramatic, nonsense explanation.
Luigi never played much of a role in the old videos, and this video is meant to spoof that by introducing him and then giving a reason for him to be absent rather than him just showing up and hardly ever appearing again.
