5. Organic Livestock production- Feeding Organic Livestock

Eckhart Fortsch, an organic farmer in Namibia, has been practicing organic farming for nearly a decade, focusing on livestock and vegetables. He emphasized that in organic agriculture, livestock are fed organic fodder and onsite feed, unlike conventional farming, which offers various feeding and supplementing options. During hard periods such as drought, organic farmers can obtain feed from certified organic farms as supplements. GMO crops and synthetic substances like urea are not allowed as they go against natural farming principles.
