The documentary is free to watch on Hulu. Under documentaries and specifically music documentaries. They do these groups when they are young in China but it will not lead to a decent wage and living when they are older, so these kids are living only for their punk band and youth. When they get older and need to work they will be left behind and destitute.
These particular kids won't be left behind and destitute, because they are in Hedgehog only part-time, and they've always maintained day jobs. ZO works for Sina, a media giant in China; Fun works in a bank, providing IT support and software maintenance; and, Atom freelances from home (and also does session work for other bands in China).
Good news, HEDGEHOG is getting better now in China, so do the independent music industry. They just finished their national tour in China. R&R is getting more attention in recent years
