Xiomaro01 Well it did say "flies better than" rather than *is* better than. That _and_ it doesn't like the actual engineers *_ever_* actually said better generally speaking, so they *_pretty_** didn't make this video *or* title.
I don't see how it flies better than a humming bird, the wing movement seems more simplistic and the range of motion seems more limited. Then it's also attached to a cable, which supplies the energy but probably also the control input (or autonomous processing power). This makes it inferior to the real bird in most aspects ;)
I would love to be in a team like this I'm also curious in finding out how this creatures fly amazingly, I've also build something a robot that mimic their flying pattern.
A most interesting video for sure. While the video illustrates the performance of the robot, some information about the mechanism would have been appreciated. I have seen a video of a wind energy generator based upon the hummingbird’s wing motion. I am greatly interested in developing a simple mechanism for passively flapping wings or a wing for use as a wind energy generator and would appreciate greatly any information or references to links or patents or research material related to this type of’ wind mill’ . Please do reply and thank you.
It certainly doesnt fly better than a hummingbird. Although tech optimistic people like to believe otherwise, we are far from beating nature in pretty much any field where we artificially try.
The bird machine will not have wings, but turbines that will open up like wings. The unit will fold when inactive to store, I imagine an egg or stowable box. But it will resemble a bird with mouted camera for display on a handheld device. That device like a homing remote for a single AI. The AI will inhabit the bird and deliver typographical information that will automatically map and store the data for the future. The bird will he mounted with a speaker for the AI, so it can deliver messages but can relay directly to the handheld device. The bird itself must be equipped with solar strips, packed everywhere. The function of this equipment, keep in mind, will be used for traveling foreign planets that are not mapped yet. There will be no power supply other than light. Make it a perfect blend of technology and animal. Please and thank you.
It would be funny to make an artificial Chestnut Tree that could transform into a heavily armed helper drone. The bird could live in the tree and have a partner in crime. 👍👿
Once humanity is done making all these actual bird sized mechanical flying robotic devices, could we scale them up to human size? Lmao if we can do this with something this small why is it so hard to do it on a larger scale?
Atheists will burn me at stake right now I know but just asking this to the people of wisdom: Doesn't this bird point to the great design and its Designer?
Embarrassing how people try to steal the magic of nature. They will never succeed. This robot is worthless and nothing like the hummingbird. It will never be as amazing and as agile as the real animal. The money that has been put into these thing, could've been used for something more useful and needed.
I definitely wouldn't say better. It's still connected to a wire

It's a start.
@@ivoryas1696 But still.. I never seen a humming bird with wire. And I am sure it feels and looks better without wires :D
I give the video thumbs down because of the word -better
For now, remember the Boston dynamics robots, they now backflip and parkour
Very click bait-y - imitation is a far cry from better than
Imagine someone creating a robot and saying it flies better than the natural bird

A plane isn't better in the scenarios where the hummingbird shines ;)
Maybe drones get somewhat close, but not at that size....

Dude you're funny, true God has created a bird that fly, and you Inventers wanna do batter than God
Great. Now build me a jetpack with hummingbird like wings.
Iol, I thought I was the only one thinking of this 🙂
Great.
Now give me a dragon with an AI and give me a pet dragon-
what type of plastic/cellophane they use for wings?
The HummingBird Robot : Engineers just built a bird bot that can fly better than Hummingbird.
Can u share a complete tutorial how to built one; It will be very helpful...
Did you ever find out how to build one?
@@jasonthatcher2507 We cab build one in our next video if you all want

Imagine your about to be destroyed and the last thing you see is a giant hummingbird dropping an object
That was Amazing
The piano music drowns out the audio, what's the point?
MASHAALLAH khub valo
Hummingbird flying process should not be used for military purpose. These creatures are meant to be appreciated not exploited.
It will never be better than the natural one . Never

Searching for victims, try searching for the enemy at night...we are all doomed
Better then old flying fly 🪰 idea , bigger for inner battery life , could land and recharge with advanced solar panel ? Great for spying etc
Todo muy lindo, el problema como siempre es la batería...
The problem I'd it will be fitted with a camera and microphone. Or a small lethal dart
How we can control it
It doesnt count if it doesnt have a battery.
Nothing is better than nature's ✓ n nothing will

Why make a robot bird when birds were already killed and replace by robot spying on you that look like birds
They look good ,They dont have spirit .God creates body also spirit

Nice, but not better than the actual hummingbird.
better ?
a robot cant beat the real thing

Excellent, you did it
The audio in this video is absolutely awful
Why do they use the internet voice
You cant create a robot better than what god create ...human
better? i seriously doubt it
do you really need robot voice?
