The Makar from Jeff Randall is a great mid-late game mobile base CV I've found. It can fit all of the tiers of plasma turbine, enabling it to run very fuel efficiently (no power use while not actively maneuvering) or to run a few constructors for free with the thrusters powered down (and of course, allowing it to stay on indefinitely for shields/defense/farming when you log out). The thrusters can be upgraded to half plasma and half antimatter at Core 9 enabling it to either haul around a lot of cargo and SVs/CVs (I have it carrying around three SVs, a mining CV, and AR's Hero V2 on the top and it still moves around at max speed even with a fair bit of cargo), or go a bit lighter and function on High-G planets. Downside is you need to install almost everything yourself. I've even slotted in a helios module for farming into the back so I can tote around a pentaxid farm that pushes out close to 900 pentaxid every couple of hours.

Oh, and I came across a response Kuivera that was way tinier than normal that I just couldn't stay glued to because of its maneuverability.

@@steffithemad8327 and it's much easily and is possible on earlier game stage to bring combat CV with basic layout and then start upgrading it into ultimate form.
I have a totally different approach for the start. Granted, I haven't played in a while and haven't tried RE2, but I don't think the gameplay has changed that much. Anyway, depending on the starting planet, I might build an HV before an SV. I have a couple of very barebone HVs where you can optionally add stuff as you level up, like a constructor, an armor locker, or harvesters. It's cheaper than an SV, you can build it with a lower level, it still gives you some mobility, a radar and a fridge, basically all you need to get things running. Otherwise, cheap SV without a drill. After the first vehicle, it's time for the miner SV. I definitely prefer a compact miner without warp drive. I usually rush a cheap CV for both storage and warp.
I'm currently running the ETHER, I've replaced the lower constructor with a container controller, removed the captains quarters and added an advanced and small constructor in that area. Removed the multi turret and used cv drills on the front and converted the large hole in the nose to a mining cockpit. Removed the off-line protection and used the space for sheild parts. Removed the large turrets and placed one only where the fake sattelite dish sits as well as installed a real long range radar. Good mid game ship. Haven't tested it under heavy fire yet but space pois don't hurt it thus far.
thanks for the vid, you've got some great recommendations to consider which to make while leveling up or going into end game. one that i tried, and i guess i'm still new to the game, is the mini base. it requires a base or cv to go from factory to using in game.
It's nice to have a high clear view cockpit and separate battle bridge for combat, but for every CV I have had I placed a captain's chair right in the hangar bay, since I spend so much time there. If you do that You don't need a battle bridge.
Here is something interesting, on Akua you can buy cobalt ore at the tribal village. The tribals will also buy the body parts you get from creatures, so cash isn't an issue.
Entes miner is a good starter SV because you can easily reconfigure into a early combat SV by replacing the drills with rail guns. It has the same upgradability as the surge by removing the cockpit to access the internals.
I added this Reforged Eden ship to my workshop. I have no idea how all the devices work. I am new to Reforged Eden.. looking at Reforged Eden 2 now.. I started on the desert planet with no atmosphere. Learning how to stay alive in a rather harsh environment. Omi or something was my start. Oh I am using the Scarb SCM now. It's great. You need to level out when you land or the ramp/door can be janky.
I have been playing RE2 for about five months since build 3 and I am gladdened by the support from the build community especially from the top builders. I am not into starter ships so I do what I must in grinding and POIs to get what I need. My "must have" prints are: SVs 1. I mostly use the Marauder RE2 by Ente for taking down Zirax and Rados bases. 2. The Sotor 6,000 with modifications. by Movado 3. The Valkyrie V3 along with the Sotor as one of my choices to leave at my autominer locations and I do a lot of auto mining 4. I have my own SV which I leave at some autominer locations as well. CVs 1. The Zeus Deus (modified for High G) I have used the farm at times, but not since I chose the MOAB as my main base. It also has turrets for ice and rich asteroids which I find often in my travels. 2. My main CV carrier is the Stellar Endeavor MK II (also modified) which has fantastic capacity for ship carrying and storage. 3. My main Battle CV was the Hero V2 after the Rigor Rostrum V2, but when the Legacy kicked my ass hard in it I had to return to my old stand-by the espensive buy awesome "Ono" by Movado. It fits my play style best because I am not doing spinny spinny with my keyboard and mouse so I nedd a ship that is fairly autonomous and can just dominate from a static front on position. Bases: 1. The cheapest base I use is for automining which as I said is a key part of my gaming style. It is the "Auto Miner Teleport Hub" by Movado which I modify by adding extra fuel tanks, clone chamber, a medic station and four basic plasma turbines and a quantum teleporter. The plasma turbines ensure it is less prone to being dead when I come to collect resources. I don't use it as intended as the intent is to place it at a deposit and use basic autominers for that one deposit. I use the premium auto miner and fly to several deposits from the hub, them teleport away and back as needed to collect all of them. 2. for peaceful planets I use my own base design which is somewhat inexpensive, unshielded and includes a greenhouse look to the top floor. I used the largest hangar door and extre height above that to cure the terrible camera angles EGS is infamous for. There's nothing like trying to park your ship and the camera shoots up into the top floor. 3. The absolute "Must Have" for my main base is Movado's MOAB. With 486 grow plots I can make almost 50 rations per seventy-minute cycle. After a few days from starting a new game, I have near a thousand of them on my person. The days of worrying about food are long gone. I was telling Movado that when I first started using it I thought the storage was beyond ridiculous, because who could fill up 640K of each resource especially Erestrum, Sathium etc. But with automining, I got halfway in a few weeks. Those are my ten "Must Haves" for RE2. I don't usually use starter planets and keep repeatedly going through the story line so I pick something like Pandora or Oscutune and get the hell off ASAP. I currently spend most of my time in the TRADER galaxy and systems and in this Beta playthrough I am going through it to the galactic core and maybe wherever I can go to kick some Legacy ass as well.
Great stuff the Rigor V2 I got when Ente made it, but a week or two later he made the Hero V2 and that is more end game combat. Like I said in a previous comment I got my ass handed to me against a Legacy infector and Matter Converter, so I returned to my old stand by Ono. I went back and spanked the hell out of them for giving me that ass whooping and I stole all their shit.
I put a zero point resource dump on the workshop that I find very useful in my re2 game. It’s good because it’s available right away instead of having to unlock modules. It covers everything up to cobalt.
I absolutely love The Omni for RE. Not sure about the V2 though. Seems a bit.. anemic? I guess it was a minmax reduction thing, but it's too minimized for my taste. But overall great designs all around! 👍🏻 Edit: propose a name change from Hydra to Tortoise. Pretty cool name, too
looking at the cost, im not sure i'd class the Commorant as a "starter" ship, unless you get super lucky raiding some POI's in the early game and net some nice resources from the salvage
11:05 Hey! My Minibase! I was just watching to catch up on the game, imagine my surprise. Spanj knows who I am! Woot! To add to what Spanj said here... 1 The Minibase featured here is the L5. There us also an L7 version. Same thing, with a medical unit, which is an L7 item. Apparently I need to update the letters on the L5. 2. As Spanj said, It's a hover craft- with no helm, hoverpads, or thrusters. It does not move. I also have tiny gun towers on the workshop. Stripped down HVs. Super cheap. 3. It's not a base, so it does not set off the Zirax attack timers. Gives you a little time to get on your feet before company arrives. When they do, your mini towers are ready.
I generally do my own builds, but it's nice to see other builds that make you expand your own creative juices a bit. Do on occasion pick up a ship and see what they have done and use it for a while. But Building is where it is at in this game, and the only way to get better is to strive to do so. Same with your choice of starter worlds. Go through them all and you will find one or two you will always come back to. Due to its challenges or other factors that are just you. Like me I like to start off on the dead worlds. I don't recommend those to inexperienced players as they can be let's say a real time challenge as there are No ore deposits, No trees, except for maybe a few twigs here or there if you are lucky. And scavenging is your only option. And these worlds also hold many small secrets hidden away sometimes in the most unusual ways. I learn to thrive on those worlds and always have a Base of operations that I can come back to if needed. It is one of the worlds that I build my prototype craft on. And by the way it is more fun to build in survival mode then in creative mode you can do real world testing that way to. Don't expect to just build and leave, no no no it took me up to a month to get the resources to build a Capitalship on one of these worlds so if you like to punish yourself have a go at it lol. I would like to see Spanj do the Unsung Heroes of building in the game. People that aren't famous and not noted. And were he can put those talent's of his into critical thinking and pointers into new builders. Sort of shine the light on these new builders of Empyrion's future sort of to say. Maybe sponsor a few sessions of showing improvements to New would be builders of the game on their own builds. After all when us older duffs and scruffs are gone, and all our own work passes off into history or is used as a wreck in a new scenario. or found just drifting in a backwater area of space way out of the space lanes. And people wonder who built that ship or and abandon base, someone will give a bit of history on that forgotten person. And the way it was done back when, and the why it was done that way. Maybe a NPC you run across in some forgotten space dive or dockworkers bar will tell you the tale of some lost ship and it's last location with maybe some long forgotten map or coordinates in just a system it was last seen in. Maybe you have to give him a few credits for his next tale of and abandoned port or mining facility out in the bush on some Long forgotten backwater planet or to get him to really open up and finnish the tale of how he got those scars and why he no longer ply's the star lanes. Did he have some experience some sort of horror that still lives in his dreams and thats why he drinks to forget. And you wonder at all the scars that he seems to have from wondering the stars. Was he a crewman or a officer that barely escaped with his life and thats how he can tell the tale so vividly. Will you search the stars for that ship to gets it undelivered cargo and any riches it might still carry locked in its forbidding hold ? Aught oh ...Now wouldn't that be a tale if only you could find such a place in the game. Or a whole new scenario. Darn it now look what I've done started a book...or mabe and idea..sorry spanj just some thinking out loud again. Well off to find my next great adventure in Empyrion maybe even on another dead world and it's lost civilization. Been itching to make a new ship or two, maybe put them up to on the workshop. So many Mysteries and so little time. See you out in the forgotten realms of space. It is a Big Galaxy you know.
On one hand though you could put the core on top of the min base in a hostile area to preserve the rest of it and all your goodies while you are away gathering more goodies.
I like the scarab doesnt have a cockpit. Ive snapped warp drice to back of scarab a lot just to get initial neo and for mining until i get a multi turret. Really early when getting a scarab i can use drone for salvaging from inside the ship when i dont have boosters etc
nice video, makes me potentially interested in playing again. haven't played in a couple years I think. just not sure if i would want to play online or single player.
Empyrion Galactic Survival: Why dissapeared the dynamic weather properties in a differrent planets and moons? Like acid rain in a swamp planets or moons, ice rain in a frozen ice, snow planets or moons, storms in a green forest planets or moons???
With RE2 modification to big drills on HV, my Gravedigger is cheap, inexpensive... so much, i build a new one every time i land on a planet. Also, the dig mode, helps a lot with movility. Sadly, cant handle a shield, its more for digging and take off those pesky creatures, or dig to get close to a POV and raid them on foot. I was working on an armoured SV with big drills as an assault vehicle, but RE1 was inefficient and cant enter in the own dig... maybe i should try to give a try now. Also, carries Shield, boosters, everything... except lots of weapond... was made for 2 AA, 2 antishield and 1 turret to obliterate.
The Hydra and Marauder look so much alike, I guess Ente made them kind of a set. Since I like and use the Marauder, I will have to check this out, but for combat in my playstyle, I don't think anything can beat Movado's Ono. The only time I had to flee the battlefield was once when I faced two Toveras at once. I might still have won, but at what cost? Btw, thanks for doing this video. Update I did check the fit for the Marauder to the Hydra, but the hangar is very small at seven by three large blocks.
wow it realy show that people have diferent kind of play almost none of the 'progression step" fit my playstyle its amazing :D (for the interessted i go SV(ISMO cheap sv) quest to get money buy c4 and ammo Ram SV in Zirax Ship Hostile take over from the insie on foot salvage turn zirax cv into bp CV leave the system repeat until galatical conquest)
So I got my copy of Empyrion on Epic... How do I get a hold of these BP's for Epic? Thanks and GREAT video and REALLY GREAT builds!!!! I built something very similar to the Scarab from just running around with the beginning tool and the starting area for one game day! Great stuff, I really want to put some of these into my game!
Do you also have a list of best blueprints for RE 1? Couldn't find in your channel... Specifically I am looking for a PvE SV fighter that doesn't need endgame (quantum) stuff.
I found the Scarab and the Makar by JRandall to be a nice set to start with in single player. I'm not up to using the Marauder and Hydra by Ente - I just end up being slagged. So far, I'm not enthusiastic about RE2. The stated intent by the developers that players are not intended to beat Toverias or mount every gun and piece of equipment bums me out - what's the point if I'm not supposed to beat anything? Zirax POIs in the starter systems with their multiple cores and devastating weapons are so far beyond what I've been able to mount is just discouraging.
Hope you didnt start in Alpha if you want that starter CV. There is no Erestrum or Zascosium in the starter system, and you cant warp to other systems in an SV. Having those required in a starter CV is an automatic pass for me, as I don't want to smash through 4 to 5 abandoned POIs just to get mats.
There have been some updates to the scenario since this video and if the creators have not updated their ships with the new updates then they may say forbidden blocks because the blocks used are no longer valid.
@@Spanj No problem. I actually updated the classic Auger for RE2, and created a warp version as well. Working on the Helios modules now. Going from solar to turbine has challenges for CVs designed to dock like that. Kind of fun.
So....if you found this game via the epic games free game method....how do you add stuff into there (if it is possible) since it is not in steam...the steam workshop bits dont seem to be as easy to install. I am fine with hacking files and moving things around, I am just not sure where things would go, or even if they could go. So far I am enjoying the game though. :)
Cormorant is useless. It is not fit to be a combat CV at all. And to be a starter CV, it uses far too much advanced components like Erestrum/Zascosium. That's because of turbines and thrusters. So it is not fit to be a starter either. There are better options on workshop. Even RE2 Lancer by Ente can be both starter CV initially, and you can upgrade it to be good scout/early combat CV as well. EDIT: best starter CV by far is XCavator by Artemis Rouge. However, it is focused on mining and levelling you up without fighting. I found it to be excellent.
It wasn't designed to be a starter or a combat CV. It's a moving base. A cargo hauler. You go to a planet, you deploy your Hv/Sv for mining or raid than move to another. Very useful in my playstyle at least. It's funny because I started a game on Delta system and I could gather all the resources required without leaving the system. You can explore wrecks and trade.
@@_Procyon_Lotor_ Fair Enough, it is just that Spanj was selling it as a starter CV. So useless was directed at that. Ideally, I expect starter CV to fit some role later on as well, like exploration or early combat (i.e. bandits). I love some of your other creations mate, like Conjurer.
hi! spanj, im stryggling a lot to find really goot SV to take down POI with shields, i know you said the marauder but that thing is a end game sv, some components needed to make it are vaaary hard to find, could you make a video with combat SV beetween start/mid game that you can craft with stuff in POI lvl 1 or 2 with no shield? plisss and thanks for reading this comment if you do ahaahah
How can a humble newb get a review of his blueprints? The Tarsus Privateer is my most refined ship for RE-2. The Sattari Privateer is my main adventure/ mining vessel in multiplayer
Also, Spanj, what kinda nonsense you are going about saying that you need SV with a warp drive to get Zascosium/Erestrum? There are no asteroids with those in starter systems AT ALL (why did you even mention barren planets like?). And SVs do not warp out of solar system. To get Zasc early game, you need to be able to do tough POIs or to earn some money via trade. Or space POIs, also viable.
I think you might be mistaken, he said you will need a warp capable sv to get neodymium, he didn't say zascosium and erestrum. He also said to go to other planets but not leaving the solar system.
@@steffithemad8327 No Spanj did indeed say you should warp with your SV to get Zasac/erestrum from a barren metal planet, of which there are none in the starter systems. So you cannot do with the entry level SV Jump drive. You would need the level 20 SV Adv. Jump drive to do that - which also costs platinum. The ship also takes 8 Bridges. It is a really nice ship - but is absolutely not a starter CV. It also doesn't claim to be one on its workshop page. Pretty sure Spanj made an oopsie there.
any mods n such being made now in beta is not gonna work well if at all when the actual version comes out whenever that may be so not worth building much now mod wise !!! gonna tinker with playing the beta til the actual game comes out then its game on!!!
You missed the main blueprint of all RE2. You must, and I can't stress this enough, you must play on a multi-player server. If you are not, RE2 is nothing more than endless grind for trinkets. Very few single players will grind for the necessary items get these “must have” blueprints. So being on a server should be blueprints number one. Before anyone says it, and they will, if you have to cheat to play, it's not a good game.
@@d00mnoodle That doesn't really negate the huge advantage of every, POI, resource, and enemy resetting every week or so. To be plundered once again. Plus the fact RE1, and RE2 are set up for this. Having it reset every so often seems like it would help eliminate some of the boredom that comes with having everything.
While I play on MP servers (HWS mostly) I always grind my personal stuff alone and it isn't that long when you know where to go and we'll equipped to do so. I dont play this game solo but if I would, RE 1& 2 are totally fine for single player experience. My main CV got 100k of most minerals yet I gather everything over a weekend.
I only play single player games. Grinding doesn't bother me in the slightest. It's why i play and enjoy survival games in general, most of them are based around grinding. Conan exiles as an example. I also love elite dangerous and never went outside of solo play. People always say the grind in that game is "unbearable", "insane", "unreasonable", but again it never bothered me and in fact i enjoyed the grind in that game. Getting the credits and resources necessary so you can hunt down the specific engineer to turn your stock space ship into a beast is why i played that game for years. Bought and fully customized every one of " the big three" ships which also requires grinding out reputation with each of the 3 factions in the game and it's not fast or easy to gain rep lol.

Removed the large turrets and placed one only where the fake sattelite dish sits as well as installed a real long range radar. Good mid game ship. Haven't tested it under heavy fire yet but space pois don't hurt it thus far.
The exposed Plasma Turbines on the Cormorant give me a bit of anxiety with RE2's shield penetration... 😅
thanks for the vid, you've got some great recommendations to consider which to make while leveling up or going into end game. one that i tried, and i guess i'm still new to the game, is the mini base. it requires a base or cv to go from factory to using in game.
Just started an RE2 game and using the scarab for my starting miner & it works great
Hey Spanj, Great video, very helpful.
Entes miner is a good starter SV because you can easily reconfigure into a early combat SV by replacing the drills with rail guns. It has the same upgradability as the surge by removing the cockpit to access the internals.
Great showcase of BPs!
My "must have" prints are:
SVs
1. I mostly use the Marauder RE2 by Ente for taking down Zirax and Rados bases.
2. The Sotor 6,000 with modifications. by Movado
3. The Valkyrie V3 along with the Sotor as one of my choices to leave at my autominer locations and I do a lot of auto mining
4. I have my own SV which I leave at some autominer locations as well.
CVs
Bases:
Edit: propose a name change from Hydra to Tortoise.
It is a Big Galaxy you know.
yeah i agree with several, i think i subscribed to 4 of the ones you showed
On one hand though you could put the core on top of the min base in a hostile area to preserve the rest of it and all your goodies while you are away gathering more goodies.
thank you!❤❤❤
best mining SV is CHAMP by Artemis Rouge.
Ozny's Opus also works as a starter SV in RE2 I believe.
Ok fine ill publish my sv jump miner... you have convinced me.
I like the scarab doesnt have a cockpit. Ive snapped warp drice to back of scarab a lot just to get initial neo and for mining until i get a multi turret. Really early when getting a scarab i can use drone for salvaging from inside the ship when i dont have boosters etc
I know it was for RE1 but I really enjoyed the Ambassador
nice video, makes me potentially interested in playing again. haven't played in a couple years I think. just not sure if i would want to play online or single player.
Empyrion Galactic Survival:
Why dissapeared the dynamic weather properties in a differrent planets and moons?
Also, carries Shield, boosters, everything... except lots of weapond... was made for 2 AA, 2 antishield and 1 turret to obliterate.
and btw, firefly looks better as a fighter, just add a shield and remove the drills for weapons and its a go!
Update I did check the fit for the Marauder to the Hydra, but the hangar is very small at seven by three large blocks.
wow it realy show that people have diferent kind of play almost none of the 'progression step" fit my playstyle its amazing :D
(for the interessted i go SV(ISMO cheap sv) quest to get money buy c4 and ammo Ram SV in Zirax Ship Hostile take over from the insie on foot salvage turn zirax cv into bp CV leave the system repeat until galatical conquest)
The only way to do it currently is explained here: th-cam.com/video/7cSKvIPmcns/w-d-xo.html
It would be nice to have the ability to order a ship to follow another. Having a small fleet would be fun to have
Eleon should definitely look at games like X4 where you can control an entire fleet (if you hire captains).
@@Martinit0 even if it was basic AI
Does anyone remember the last top 10 ship video.
It's been a long time.
The firefly looks like it was meant to be a fighter or something, and someone screwed around and swapped the guns out for drills
Why do some of these say forbidden blocks? What setting do I need to turn off to fix that.
There have been some updates to the scenario since this video and if the creators have not updated their ships with the new updates then they may say forbidden blocks because the blocks used are no longer valid.
Anyone else have the link for the Oni V2 starter actually go to a Quasar blueprint? The Savos makes sense to me. HV harvester low, a SV miner mid.
Should be fixed now, sorry about that
@@Spanj No problem. I actually updated the classic Auger for RE2, and created a warp version as well. Working on the Helios modules now. Going from solar to turbine has challenges for CVs designed to dock like that. Kind of fun.
I would have liked to have seen what devices are required to be unlocked for those cubes.
None, it is just blocks I think, no devices.
Are we sure it's not the railings that make the stairs appealing? lol
I'm new to using mods on this game. does all of this that you showed come with Reforged Eden 2
no, the scenario is just the scenario, the ships that others create have to be subscribed to individually
@@Spanj ok thx
I've just started playing. How do you get blueprints if you are not on steam?
For epic players its a convoluted mess but it is possible, i go through it here: th-cam.com/video/7cSKvIPmcns/w-d-xo.html
@@Spanj thanks very much
hi! spanj, im stryggling a lot to find really goot SV to take down POI with shields, i know you said the marauder but that thing is a end game sv, some components needed to make it are vaaary hard to find, could you make a video with combat SV beetween start/mid game that you can craft with stuff in POI lvl 1 or 2 with no shield? plisss and thanks for reading this comment if you do ahaahah
How can a humble newb get a review of his blueprints? The Tarsus Privateer is my most refined ship for RE-2. The Sattari Privateer is my main adventure/ mining vessel in multiplayer
You missed the Lynx!
I like Randall's scarab miner, but i just tried out Artemis's CHAMP mining sv, and WTF! How? Fucking how?!?
cant download on epic games store :(
@@skysoftware4581 the devs are working on a way to share blueprints accross both platforms
To build some of them, it is necessary to have real architecture and design talent imho.
Big downside in my opinion for the searg is that needs platinum 😅
@@Petar16892 plat is easy to get from poi's on the starter planet
Nope, you were right, my mistake, Spanj done effed up, I apologize.
@MrSchnabelente You right, I was wrong.
Sv do not warp out of solar system then how did I do it ?
cb:survival in server gets you free cobalt
any mods n such being made now in beta is not gonna work well if at all when the actual version comes out whenever that may be so not worth building much now mod wise !!! gonna tinker with playing the beta til the actual game comes out then its game on!!!
But the dumb thing about MP is that servers can and will wipe. All that progress gone it's a damn shame
@@d00mnoodle some and most of MP servers have virtual backpacks for saving valuable stuff before server wipe. (HWS server for instance)
