great atmosphere to this. a few times it sounded like you could have easily jumped into Blinding Lights
I'd love to try and cover it one day, Blinding Lights is my favourite of The Weeknd's tracks
@@stateazure what style would you do it in? I loved how heavy some of the synth sounds were in the original. You doing a version in the style of your versions of 'Love on a Real Train' and 'In The AIr Tonight' could be amazing.

Thanks, Tony. Not really, I just don't really enjoy using the Push 3 with Bitwig, the workflow is just weird. A lot of this track was primarily made in Bitwig first though, and finished/performed in Ableton.

My son wants me to help him monetize his music, so I'm looking for online advice for that.
I've wondered if he can do it just by having a TH-cam channel? But presumably he needs more than that and a way of collecting royalties for plays on TH-cam? Unless TH-cam channels like yours only rely on AdSense?

@@darrenelkins5923 Oh I see, to be honest I don't know of any good tutorials out there about that and never really looked into it much myself. I rely on Adsense from YT, Bandcamp sales, and streaming/online digital shops through my distributor Distrokid, but it's not easy to earn much money this way for a very long time/until one has quite a decent following etc. A lot of artists use Patreon and/or TH-cam Memberships to also help with support. Others could be stock music licensing etc, but that's something I have no experience with, and I think with AI music getting so good, stock music will be a dead end for many producers starting now.

Ai music is a concern as is ai in general as my kids are all creatives with good natural talents.
I’m trying to navigate it all for them so they still have a chance to be earn as creatives.
I’m sure we’ll find some way of working with ai. Fingers crossed . Exciting but worrying times!
Masterful. Is this mostly plugins/Ableton internal devices or samples and sequences from your hardware? FX are great as well.
Thanks! It's just a few plugins used, mostly Diva for the dub parts and bass. Atmosphere pads I don't remember, but I usually make those parts with Kontakt libraries + Omnisphere. FX were a combination of Valhalla and some Ableton stock FX.
Back on ableton? No more Bitwig? Or did this jam just end up in Ableton.

I wanted to perform it on the Push 3, but Push 3 + Bitwig is very awkward to me and just doesn't feel right, so I'll probably always be using Ableton with the Push 3. Most of the track still started in Bitwig though, as that's always my main preference for composing.
@@stateazure I thought I was crazy for feeling the same way about push + Bitwig. I have the push 2 and have never fully clicked with it in Bitwig. The script is great but it just isn’t all there. I still use ableton for a few things and maybe I’ll start bouncing tracks from Bitwig into Ableton for my live performances. Thanks SA!
