If the Ottoman pitch system is based on the comma of Pythagoras, why should the instruments in the Ottoman orchestra be standardized to 440 Hz for La????? This question is for Ruhi Ayangil
It can be said that in Turkish Music instruments, a preference was made not based on a standardization such as A = 440, but on a common tuning method accepted by all world musicians. Despite their qualified productions, it is not possible to talk about a standardization of Turkish instruments even today. Also, in Turkish maqam music, besides Phytagorian comma, different interval measurement values such as diatonic, syntonic and Herder commas are also used. Common in all world music (the degrees) I. IV. V. VIII. Maqam ranges outside the ranges continue to be used outside the standard by performers who are well acquainted with the maqam navigational characteristics. Thank you for your close attention. With friendship.
@@ruhiayangil1051 Many Respectful Thanks Ustad!! I read your article in a publication(maybe Turkish Music Quarterly). .it was actually an interview you gave. I filmed you in 2011 in a Mevlevi Hanesi. I was curious to learn more about the tonal system in Sanat Muzigi. I am also very curious about Anatolian cultures. I was very happy to see some clips on Lykia, Lydia, Leleg and on Frig Vadisi. The Anatolians were greatest musicians of the Ancient World. Anatolia continues to be the land of some of the best music in the world...Trakya as well! Thousands of years of Makam Music!!
Böyle güzel bir ruhaniyet.
