Love the slow revving engine, so many run fast like an IC engine.

Great video, nice camera work and explanation of the engine and boiler. I like the two piston design, I am thinking the steam enters the small piston and goes from there to the larger piston for efficiency? I built a wood powered steam turbine to electricity machine but I was not that happy with the efficiency so I built a piston steam engine but I'm not yet totally happy with it, I may want to learn more about the engine you have, thanks, cheers, Ken

Yep, less steam for mor power because wen it leaves the smaller cylinder it still has energy to expand.

Nice steam boat. Why do you prefer wood to coal ?

Matt Seymour one presumes wood is easier to come by in many regions these days.

Wood is cheaper, easier to acquire, and requires less maintenance, than coal.

Matt Seymour I don't own a steam engine craft, my great uncle worked on the railroads here in the US for over 50 years. Learned a lot about steam power. His basement and six barns were filled with old steam engines and steam generators.
