My shopping list is now huge too! Loved all the recommendations from both videos. Very excited! I have already made the Dawson Coatigan, which made up very well, with fantastic instructions from Claire Louise Hardy! You swapped sides too.... normally Rachel you are in the left and Nikki on right.... love the new set in your sewing room Nikki 👍 thank you ladies we have just gone to the high tier this morning, so all these comfy recommendations will keep me sane and warm!

@@bridget9111 I made it about 18 months ago, but I seem to remember it was true to size, I want by the Finished Garment Measurements.

Great patterns. This IS my lifestyle now that I'm retired. Very interested in pre-quilted fabric.

Oh my word! My "to do" list and shopping list just grew immensely! You guys have really chosen great patterns for Autumn. I don't know whether to be happy or mad! But either way, I'll end up with some great pieces! Thanks so much for such fabulous videos and for keeping it real! Your videos are the highlight of my day!

I just binge watched both videos. Thanks for the great ideas. I just have to decide what I want to make first. I still have my son's flannel lined black rain coat that fits me. He got it when he was 12 and is almost 40. I haven't worn it in a while but it does keep me warm and dry. I do have a few pretty rain coats and would love to make one sometime. In my world you can never have too many coats.

Great jacket options! I am hoping you guys are going to do Vlogmas this year! With everything going on it would be neat to see how you both come up with gifts for each other like you did last year!

We are talking about Vlogmas atm but it won’t be the same as usual due to the obvious reasons!

Great video - my first Stitch Sisters watch but I am subscribed now! Great to see you are having a go at a puffa jacket. I have made 3 gilets this summer trying to replicate my much loved North Face puffa style gilet. I used the Twig and Tale Trailblazer pattern which was a good match for the style but I really struggled to find a good way of getting the thick puffa/duvet look. I tried Thinsulate (bit stiff), Vilene thick wadding (felt a bit sweaty in wear!!) and a Vilene with wool. The last one is best but I think the wool fibres are going to poke through the fabric . . .
Please let us know how you get on!!

Great selection!! I definitely need an anorak, too. I live in Vancouver which has almost the same climate at the UK and I need something waterproof that I love as much as my other me-made coats. And this is exactly the patterns I need, too since I’m going absolutely nowhere nowadays. 😏

Thanks, girls! Inspiring choices in both videos. Nikki, I have teddy bear fabric very similar to yours; will you use any interfacing to stop it from 'sagging' or do you think that it will be ok without? Look forward to seeing the results! X

    Dear Nikki and Rachel,
I enjoyed your video and your picks so much. Did you think about corduroy for an Anorak? I had one as a child and I loved it.

Message in a bottle: if you ever come across a pattern that would allow me to make a rainproof (hooded) coat to cycle in, I would be immensely grateful. I'm looking to make something that would prevent my trousers, and not just my head, arms and torso, from getting soaked...

@@StitchSisters I'm actually thinking of using Folkwear's Australian Drover coat and adding a hood. All their coats are on sale at the moment, so I'll have to make the Poiray coat as well... even if I have to call it a "robe" for a while :)
