Wow! That is some set up. Thanks for the look at your boat. Definitely a bit much for what I do, but you gave me some great ideas for storage. It's just fun to see other people's setup too. Thanks for the video.
Greg love the boat. I also went with a motor on my feel free moken 10. 2.5 Suzuki outboard, on a feel free side mount, with a single outrigger. I fish 900 acres of my freshwater lake. I have a heart condition and is why I wanted the motor. But you gave me a few idea's. I love all our different setups, and love watching you fish. I'm in the northeast, so my baby is put away, which means more toys.lol..Be safe my friend.
Hey Greg, great video! Thanks for making it. That is a hell of a kayak! With that torqueedo you will be beating everyone to the fish. Hope you win some more tournaments this summer!
The new Native Slayer Max has those upgraded bike pedals standard and it come with screws you can add for more grip/traction. The junk drawer is standard now too which I love. I am consistently amazed at the upgrades on your Native and your videos always give me ideas about what’s possible. Keep it up my dude.
Really cool man! Fascinating! What kayaks are evolving into. Watching these vids. Sold me on it. At first I was on the fence , a little unsure if I wanted a bass boat or a kayak. Saw a few of your videos then a few more then that was it for me! Hands down 100% it's a kayak now! Seeing how they are applicable to so many different body's of water. It's personal, stealthy and downright fun! Fishing is my passion to man it's what I live for! It's awesome to see there are people out there that take it as serious I do. Good luck Greg and to everyone on the Dark hoarse squad. You all are making history!
For a while I knocked my Titan because although I prefer to fish out of it and love the Kayak overall, i was ticked that I was only getting a very short time out of the rudder cables. Experimented and found the sleeved cable works best but what made the most difference was taking the steering handle apart and changing the way it was positioned. Both my Natives came from factory with the set screw at the top of the pulley when the rudder is centered. In that position, every twist of the rudder handle puts all of stress on the set screw, biting into the cable until it snaps. I repositioned both of mine so the set screw is on the left. Now the main stress is on the top of the smooth pulley with the rudder centered and my cables are lasting much longer. Hope this helps someone if you live on busy water and have found the wind and waves to be snapping your cables.
Ive been a subscriber for about 2 months now. Known you were local to me, as I live in Rancho Cordova. As I started watching more videos, I’ve come to realize you have partnered with the folks from Head Waters in Lodi, Ca which is also local. I’m seriously considering taking a trip down there this weekend to pick up a Titan Propel 10.5!!! I’m a retired Army Vet looking to get into a new hobby, and after doing a lot of research and see what boat would fit me best, I have to say thanks to you’re and Dans reviews I’m sold on the idea that the Titan just might be the next yak for me, which will be a huge upgrade for me as I am coming from a Sun Dolphin!!! Lmao! Anyways, just wanted to leave a positive comment, and I’m happy to see a local TH-camr in my area. Be well.
Very cool, Tony! Appreciate it. Hope you did or plan on venturing to Headwaters. Best place you can buy a boat and they'll take care of you no matter what. Come out and join us in the yak-a-bass series!
Looking back in time bro. Lol. I just bought Romels Torqeedo yesterday. Made me think how I got started in all this like 4/5 months ago for 2019. Lol. Idk I messaged you in 2018 about it! Wow time fly’s man. Wishing you the best in Arkansas TOC man. My Torqeedo test will be at Camanche for the YAB team event on November 16,2019. See you around man. I’m pumped about having this as part of my arsenal now. Can cover a ton more water. Anyways, have a good one bro. Later.
Amazing boat Greg. I wish I had the kind of career to allow me to compete. Being a chef is fairly demanding. Love watching all your videos. Love all the modifications you’ve made. I think I started watching your videos around 2,000 sub Mark. Been awesome watching you become a better angler and thanks for all the tips. Definitely has helped me as well.
Really enjoy your videos and the Mods to the seat very nice. I may have to try something similar on my next kayak the storage you have added is very handy.
Man that’s a dream setup! I need that front hatch and that seat upgrade! I currently don’t even use my front hatch but with that upgrade I would. That seat is a game changer though. Great rig!
Thanks Adam! Yeah. A lot of comments say why not a jon boat or a bass boat. Quick answer is I can travel with a kayak, not worry about gas or maintenance and get into the skinny water the others can't. Pedal drive allow more control over a trolling more. THe list goes on but either way I'm happy with how I fish!
Really well (over ) equipped! I think you might have lowered the water line 2-3 inches for that 10.5 inch yak! I get it though-, good luck with it and stay safe!!
I am in a debate right now with kayak fishing. I have a shadow caster right now, and that thing is amazing for how cheap it is, but it is incredibly heavy, and hard to paddle. I want to upgrade to a pedal drive system, but at that point I feel like a decked jon boat would be better for me since I would have to trailer it anyway. Then I saw the new Blue Sky Angler 360, so now I am debate over saving up for that.
Heck of a rig, and hopefully it's covered by insurance, just in case mother nature or "Murphy" intervenes. As far as storing vehicle keys in the zippered bag, I prefer to keep mine in a zipper-closed cargo pocket in the pants I'm wearing. If my rig goes down for any sort of off-handed reason, I at least want to be able to drive home. ;)
Great tip Greg! I'll probably stow my keys in a vest pocket from now on. The native boats have the foam injected lining which add weight but buoyancy to the boat. Apparently they're impossible to sink but ya never know.
Greg Blanchard: Didn't know that about the injected foam in those rigs. It would be interesting to know how far below the surface they submerge once they're completely flooded.
retnav, finally someone with brains instead of mashed potatoes as brains. Right? But, if keys ever get wet, so would be the remote of the car. Better put the entire bunch in a waterproof container the size of a cigarette packet. I do canoeing too and protect the most important things that matter, the car keys and mobile phone by putting the keys in an empty medium plastic runner's drink bottle with a large opening. Tighten the lid and strap them on my belt. The mobile it inserted in a waterproof plastic bag too and put in a strap-on bag. So far, I've had no trouble.
Man that is awesome Greg! Seeing everyone’s tricked out Yaks at the Yak A Bass tournaments is just fueling me to save, save, save for one of my own someday! The seat trays are by far one of my favorites on that! It’s the little things hahaha! Awesome Yak 👍 Do you have to worry a lot about getting weeds caught up in the prop with the torquedoos?
Headwaters Kayak i saw it on yak-a-bas. it’s clean. wow! hahaha i just saw romel’s instagram after looking at yours. i think i own his old 2016 nucanoe pursuit haha
man all you need to do is slap some Ranger decals on your kayak , hey Greg if you paint that lid over your drinks white it will deflect the suns rays but you know that , just sayin'
Greg - I absolutely love your front hatch solution but can't find a link anywhere. Can you provide some links as to where to obtain that lid and the webbing for the front hatch? Thank you and I'm almost ready to video my Titan 10.5 setup. It's almost identical to your rig. Love your videos and really wanted to thank you as you've been my inspiration for taking up Kayak fishing. Researched all winter and finally made the Kayak purchase in April largely based on your videos. I also purchased theTorqeedo 403C in June of this year. Burly pro upgrade will be here today so I expect to have everything completed by this weekend. Now I see that I need that hatch solution as I'm sure my hatch with it's flimsy attachment will at some point fall off the Kayak and I was debating on a solution which you seemed to have resolved. Thanks again!
Never mind, it looks like a custom cut from a starboard with some Nu Canoe's latches. The deck Matt threw me off a bit as it may it look like readily available hatch that you could purchase. The tubing looks to be from a net and in fact, it looks like it was snipped and formed to match that hatch opening. Wow, that Romel is a Genius!!! Thanks for the vids as always.
Dude you should make a detailed video about that battery box id really love to know how to exactly make it there arent really any good videos about making them how to wite the fish finder and everuthing
Killer upgrades Greg! Pure awesomeness. Does Romel have a business that he offers mods to others? Would love to turn over my old town PDL to him for a few things.
2 questions if you don't mind. 1. Can I get some more specs on that riser setup? I am a taller guy at 6'7" and the extra height would really help. 2. Did you have to do CF numbers after adding the electric drive? If so how difficult was that process? Great video. Keep it up and tight lines.
Hi Greg good to see you~ You r so amazing. I'm keep watching every day at least 4~5 times... Actually I want to buy your kayak but Canada in my area not selling it ~ NVU man !! Have a good day~
That kayak is insane man! You should definitely be proud of that thing Greg. Replacing the pedals was a great idea!! Which glide bait do you prefer most? I have been thinking about getting an S-Waver.
Greg Blanchard I have heard good things about the Jackall. The Roman made is out of my price range and impractical for 99% of the places I fish. I recently got a 6th Sense Speed Glide 100. It has some good action on it. Deps definitely has some nice ones too. Thank you and have a great day Greg!
Awesome. I got a lot of ideas from your setup. Thank you for sharing. I’m looking into a depth finder and I don’t want to cut. Good to here you put the transducer on the side. How do you like the depth finder? Also reminded me I need some small split rings pliers and sunscreen. I’m new to kayaking and this was a great video. Thanks again
Hey Chris, I think Romel will be getting a part list together soon and possibly even having it for sale. Some kind of netting material from what I can tell. The key will be having the added hatch with the locking tabs as the from the under side of the locking tabs he created a bracket to which the flexible metal frame can sit on.
Greg, Nice video, I have the same yak. Question I have for you. When I am peddling into any chop I seem to take water over the front that rolls into the boat .I am just wondering it you have the same issue
Thanks man! My buddy that did all these mods for me might be selling them as a package with parts and instructions so stay tuned! Most likely the front hatch to start.
Wow! That is some set up. Thanks for the look at your boat. Definitely a bit much for what I do, but you gave me some great ideas for storage. It's just fun to see other people's setup too. Thanks for the video.

Wow! That boat has come a long ways dude. I can’t get over how much you guys have done. Can’t wait to see it in person.
Lots of wizardry added to it and we have one more project that should be a pretty sweet little add on this week! Ill stop by the shop soon!
Just purchased this boat and you're a huge reason why. Very excited. I feel like it's going to give me the confidence to hit the bigger waters
Enjoy man! For sure, this boat will put you on the big water no issue.
Your Titan is incredible. Looks like this is a kayak that could give you years of use and fun
Wow!! I’d say that’s every kayak fisherman dream to own.. awsome!! I picked a lot of ideas thanks for sharing!
I love the front hatch and seat mods! Thanks for posting!! Very nice!
Hey Greg, great video! Thanks for making it. That is a hell of a kayak! With that torqueedo you will be beating everyone to the fish. Hope you win some more tournaments this summer!
Thanks Hunter! the torqueedo will defintiely help!

Just came across this video. Great setup! Where did you get the front hatch setup from? My son has been wanting something like this for his.
Now that’s a killer set up great video bud some awesome mods and upgrades

so awesome man! just something totally different and rewarding from fishing from a kayak! Tight lines Zach!
Romel is a freakin genius!!!! I hope to work with him in the future!
That seat section is the cats meow... Lots of space within arms reach.... Cool Video
Love your boat setup!

Sweet boat Greg....It's set up the way you like it...that's what counts....Nice job
Definitely a one man bass boat love it

Very Nice. I just bought a 12-9 tandem and I will outfit it after I start guideing. Cheers Jeff

That is definitely one sweet ride! Lot's of thought put into the extras!
Dude that boat is PIMP! Picking up a 13.5 on Wen. thanks for the video some great ideas!
That kayak is the king of fresh water kayaks bro what a set up I love it tight line man.

you've made a believer outta me... screw saving up for a boat! helluva a set up
Just in time for the morning coffee!!
Front hatch and seat upgrades are solid 👍👍
Really enjoy your videos and the Mods to the seat very nice. I may have to try something similar on my next kayak the storage you have added is very handy.

Thanks Joey!
Awesome setup 👍🏻 I plan to demo a Titan 10.5 and 12 and possibly sell or trade in my radar to get the Titan
Very very nice mini bass boat you got there.
Haa, I see Romell getting a lot of calls after this video
man the more of your vids i watch on that titan, the more i want 1
Awesome stuff Greg! Forget the haters, your boat is set up for you not them.
Thanks Adam! Yeah. A lot of comments say why not a jon boat or a bass boat. THe list goes on but either way I'm happy with how I fish!
But, it is cost-effective for the nature of the business you are in. That's a sweet setup and you've worked hard to get there, kudos.
Thanks Patrick! Love this boat
Thanks for the tour, you pack a lot on a 10.5’!!! What’s the max weight limit?
That yak is on beast mode!
NATIVE shoulder be sponsoring you
Sick set-up Greg. Love it!
You forgot your Boondox rudder and Burley Pro lines.
That's one sweet set up.
Been waiting for this video...nice boat Greg: )
nice set up brother like the cargo net idea for sure!
Great rig man, that's a one man bass boat.
I really like those pull out trays under your seat. Gives me an idea for mine. Thanks
For sure, Jacob! I want to see some pics after your install!
Really well (over ) equipped! I think you might have lowered the water line 2-3 inches for that 10.5 inch yak! I get it though-, good luck with it and stay safe!!
Nice drawers!!
Super cool yak Greg!!!! Love it!

Do you have to worry a lot about getting weeds caught up in the prop with the torquedoos?
Thanks John! Yeah all the boats are more tricked out each year! I’ve had it in weeds (light) and it’s chopped em up
Hey Greg. Do you have a video on how to upgrade the front hatch like that? Looks great.
Awesome kayak 👍 the only thing it's missing is a solar panel 😄
Sick set up man! I like it.
wow! romel is like the west coast customs for kayaks. the seat mods are nice. do the torqueedo back. motor guide xi3 front!
Joe Magnento haha yup! You should see the trailer he just tricked out. Put a pic on my Instagram. So rad
Headwaters Kayak i saw it on yak-a-bas. it’s clean. wow! hahaha i just saw romel’s instagram after looking at yours. i think i own his old 2016 nucanoe pursuit haha
Great tour!! I want one!
Dope rig man!
The seat is my favorite part.....very clean and adds a ton of storage. Freaking sweet bro. Has any of the upgrades affected your setup time?
love the Tour Greg maybe i should do mind soon when i got everything ready :D.
man all you need to do is slap some Ranger decals on your kayak , hey Greg if you paint that lid over your drinks white it will deflect the suns rays but you know that , just sayin'
Sick setup Greg! I need to get that lip gripper fish holder thing for my little boat! Haha
You are going to have to rename it to the Titanic.
Sounds just about right ✋😂

Sweet boat
Dude you should make a detailed video about that battery box id really love to know how to exactly make it there arent really any good videos about making them how to wite the fish finder and everuthing
Love what you done to it. Did you sell the 13.5. I'm looking to sell my 13.5 to get the 10.5. Just got a pop up trailer need to hitch now
You should try out the old town auto pilot!
Just thinking about how to prevent roll over in case, especially battery and electronic devices.
The junk drawer is where I'd keep my pipe and dank ass weed and grinder :)
Totally awesome!!!!!!
Hi Greg good to see you~
You r so amazing. I'm keep watching every day at least 4~5 times... Actually I want to buy your kayak but Canada in my area not selling it ~ NVU man !! Have a good day~
That front hatch upgrade is dope! Where can i get one!?
Hey cho would you happen to know abt the tube and cargo net insert on the front hatch... saw your comment and agree on the front hatch! 👍🏼
Daniel Garcia i wish i knew, but it all looks custom! 😭😭😭
Where or what’s a flexible bar? with the cargo net in the front hatch ... nice walk thru and Vid
Would love to see how to do that junk drawer.
That is Super Cool Bro ❗️🙌🏾🙌🏾👉🏽🎣💪🏽
That kayak is insane man! You should definitely be proud of that thing Greg. Replacing the pedals was a great idea!! Which glide bait do you prefer most? I have been thinking about getting an S-Waver.
S-Waver is a great glide bait. It will catch big bass and bass the same size as it. Go with the 168 if you don't have a dedicated swimbait rig.
Thank you Jeff! The 168 is the size I have been leaning towards. I appreciate the recommendation man!!
I prefer the jackall gantarel. I'm looking to get a depth 250 and/or roman negotiator but both of those are hard to come by.
Dam you got more space than my bass boat nice
I love it, it's been great for the past 3 years.
Greg Blanchard Thanks. I’ll definitely look into it.
Very nice!
Greg!! Didn’t see the description of the kayak handle at the front of the boat. Where did you get it?
Muito bom parabéns pelo vídeo um abraço fique com Deus
Nice setup. What kind of tie downs are those for the rope to pull up the rope? Are they plastic or metal...appears to be yakattack. Thanks!
Greg that front basket was exactly what I needed for my boat. Is that a laundry basket or something home made?
Hey Chris, I think Romel will be getting a part list together soon and possibly even having it for sale. Some kind of netting material from what I can tell. The key will be having the added hatch with the locking tabs as the from the under side of the locking tabs he created a bracket to which the flexible metal frame can sit on.
Greg Blanchard that would be great. I've been looking for something to fill that role and keep things from sliding deep into that kayak.
Greg, Nice video, I have the same yak. Question I have for you. When I am peddling into any chop I seem to take water over the front that rolls into the boat .I am just wondering it you have the same issue
What trolling motor mount you using? Nice Kayak!!
When I grow up, I want to be just like you.
Are you not worried about it ever tipping over?
Miss you!
I miss you too, Gabby! When do you get back to California?
August 2nd! Hope to see you then 😊
everything but the kitchen sink. I like it.
and the coffee maker!
Awsome!!
Where is the torqeedo mount from? Just bought a Slayer Max 12.5 and looking to add a torqeedo as well.
Awesome rig and great walk through Greg, thanks for sharing.
You got it Jim!
Awesome rig man!! Hey, is their any more info about raising the seat and the sliding junk drawer underneath?? Would really like to do it to mine.
Thanks man! My buddy that did all these mods for me might be selling them as a package with parts and instructions so stay tuned! Most likely the front hatch to start.
Keep Me Posted and Continue with the great Videos
What are some of the better places to fish around here this month?
Does the pedal drive come with the kayak or is it an accessory you have to buy separately?
