  • I head down to Tennessee to pick up a super low hour 175C track loader. This thing is mint and hang around because there will be more to come on it!

The company my dad worked for back in the 60'sand 70's had a IHC 150 loader, they eventually bought a 175 in the early 70's. They were good machines. They used them mostly for loading field stone/rip rap out of farmers fields, for use along ditches and streams for errosion protection. On one job loading out of an old stone pile along a woods/field edge, the operator dug into an old "Stash" of bootleg/moonshine, from the prohibition days. Mileage one way 305.

@@johncushman7458 Hi, I actually have an old running 1953 IHC 1/2 ton pickup. Also a 1955 IHC 170 dually non runner truck, with a portable track pin press set up on the rear. There is lots of pressing blocks and dies for pressing the pins and bushings out of the various sizes of tracks of dozers or excavators. This one was actually run by a IHC heavy equipment service dept.

I ran a 125 international in 79 on a big mainland sewer job. Trying to remove mud on back fill on a very muddy job. Then I had to move a 175 like yours on a parking lot job. Boy the power loading the front bucket. It just filled the bucket over the top. For a front end Loader they had power. I ran the 680 Case on hoe Packing. The guy running backfill and pea gravel liked the 850 Case. It was faster.
Man when those machines were new. It brings back memories of that job

I listened to the end of the video again and the correct mileage from the shop at Nashville to where you picked up the loader would be 343 miles. For some reason I thought you said from where you left in the morning where the truck was park! It’s one of those 2 numbers lol

Watching your day back of a track loader reminds me of encendent , they guys were unloading and A C TRACK loader with no Rippers, the trailer was old school system , the truck facing up hill , the guy started loading the rig , ass he climbed up on the trailer he some how lifted the back axle of the truck , witch caused truck to roll back and flip the loader or backwards, it didn't have a roll bar on equipment, it killed the guy when it turned complete over. On the driver.

Hey Clinton. I realize I'm 2 years and 4 months out of date on this mileage estimate (and not in the running for a sweatshirt), but before I start reading comments, I want to put in a distance estimate. Based on what I could determine about the route you took, I estimate 342 miles. . .from your shop to the Tru-Pac in Trenton, TN.
Now it's time to get on with the follow-on videos for this track loader. Thanks for posting and for taking us along on your trip. Great fun! 🙂
By chance, I was trying to figure out where you went to pick up that snazzy track loader with its 4-in-1 bucket. It's something I do sometimes while watching videos. When you were on your way back home, I saw a road sign for US 45W. That caught my attention, because US Route 45 went through my hometown in central Illinois (about 60 miles west of Terre Haute. One of my bucket list items is to one day drive all of US 45 between Ontonagon, Michigan and Mobile, Alabama.

Let Canada and the US work together on crude oil and not beg other country’s for there blood oil. That’s my thought for what it’s worth. Hope ya have a great day and thank you for the vids!!

You are confused about what our president does. He doesn’t run the petroleum syndicate. That is another group, not government. I don’t think Trudeau sets prices on Canadian petroleum products, but if he does it isn’t in your favor. Maybe you could contact your representatives and complain to them about your fuel price instead of wrongly posting about our political setup. We are overtaxed by a bunch of paid for idiots who spend our money like there is no limit, but Mr. Biden has little to do with the idiots. That is our problem with our elected representatives, but our President has other issues to deal with.

May 9th 2022. In South Australia we are currently paying A$2.00 per litre! And that is with a Federal Government excise temporary discount of A$0.22/lt. With fluid conversion to US gallons and exchange rate that equates to around US$ 5.30 per US gallon.
Enjoy watching and particularly you mentoring your sons - fortunate boys indeed. Pass on those valuable skills to keep the C & C motor (or is that an engine?) going in their hands if they choose.

Way back before you tube days we hauled red cedar out of Arkansas. The guy had a de limber and most of it was less than six inches diameter. Anyway it was an adventure. Back in a mile and drag the log truck out with an old dozer. It was a midnite run. Hehe. A LOAD. Usually a LOAD of 6 quarter Beech going down, to Budweiser, The beer really is beech wood aged. The old MACK earned its keep getting the cedar up here.

It was fun watching this, I used to run a International 175 Series C in the 80's backfilling deep pipeline trenches and removing trees. Loved that machine. If I remember to tighten the tracks, the zirk is behind that plate. Nearly 40 years ago, it could have slipped my mind. Once I got used to the center pedal for the accelerator and brake I love that. Great for pushing tree also.
Didn't have a cab, just the roll bars.
