    When I returned, all the streams, they flowed without me
    When I returned, all the trees, they fell without me
    When I returned, all life came and went without me
    Those words move me to tears every time. I dont know if it's because I'm going through a very hard season in my life or if my heart is trying to tell me or show me something. I'm lost and this is how I feel. A long season of heartbreak and loss. Stay strong out there, and thank you Mark for being a kindperson. .

      First time I heard this was just now. It had a similar effect, except I felt tingling all throughout my body, starting with the left side and slowly reaching over. Something in this song is incredibly moving and it's more than the spiritual lyrics. It is very much about that beyond which can be described with accuracy, emotion and feeling. I do believe that in some way, all living things are connected and these guys/this song does a great job of hinting at this philosophy.

    Once, Long ago,

    I saw shadow.
    Shadow, my law.
    Every footstep
    returns to the dirt.
    Two clear voices -
    "Accelerate replication!"
    "Authorization denied!"
    Please! Come now, wind!
    Bring back what I've lost!
    I see shadow!
    Shadow, my law!
    I'll drink in the stars
    and then hunt down the moon!
    Swaying light, shine.
    Distance, fade away.
    Opening door,
    O, Shrinking Sun,
    Compress!
    A diamond!
    Sundering roar,
    Opening eyes,
    Ignite!
    Be Still!

The musical precision, the heartbreaking combination of musical styles vocally, instrumentally and lyrically and the fearlessness to be both vulnerable and auditorily violent reminds me that in my late '60s I still look for new musical perfection. • @bjscarberry2927
      @bjscarberry2927 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      While I whole heartedly agree that Kardashev should be WAY more popular than they are, it isn't quite simple to make your band more popular overnight. I am in a fairly successful local band here in the States as well, and we market ourselves well, play smart shows, and strive to be different from the herd. The climate of the music industry right now is just treacherous to say the least. I will say that Russian metal fans are among the best , though! We have connected with many. Much love!

    • @ARMYStrongHOOAH17
      @ARMYStrongHOOAH17 5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      They're underrated because the masses don't really want deep, intellectual and technical music. They want mindless bullshit with a strong beat and simple, easy to remember choruses just to have as background noise in their every day life. So, pop, basically. Even rock and metal seems to moving more and more towards that. Sad, really, how powerful music is and yet most people barely even scratch the surface of it.

    • @danielnelson4881
      @danielnelson4881 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ARMYStrongHOOAH17 I don't think that's fair really. Music that is aurally pleasing will be listened to and loved by enthusiasts of that style of music regardless. If not it's because either you aren't that good, or your target audience has never heard of your band. You've gotta consider the sheer amount of content there is out there... Yes there are tons of people, a majority even, who either aren't interested in, or haven't been exposed to more nuanced, deeper, complex, and less accessible music. At a first listen all anyone has is a very basic surface level understanding of the song we've just listened to... Without someone telling them there's more than just noise, or popular opinion leading someone to dig deeper, what real motivation do most people have to dive deeper and really explore the intricacies of music that isn't so "accessible?" How are they supposed to know that one day something will click and this song will make sense and become one of your favorite songs that you find something new to love every time you listen to it? Most people's relationship with music is what little their commutes in their cars allow them for however many minutes/hours a day that might be. There really isn't the time or the ability to sit there and really concentrate on what you're listening to (if you aren't a terrible driver that is lol). There's nothing wrong with that. Accessible, catchy, easy to play but easy to love music makes sense.. It serves a purpose for a large majority of the population. It's still not easy to write music that stands out from the oversaturated crowd of garbage pop to be the aurally pleasing, widely loved, repeatedly played on the radio, music listened to by audiences who require accessible music. It's still music with talent that can mean a lot to a lot of people. Do I like it? No I do not. Do I like this song? No, I didn't. It was all over the place, did a lot of goofy shit that didn't fit together, nor did it provide me with any vocals or guitar work that I thought deserved another listen. If I didn't know the vocalist from his vocal reviews I might've thought this song was a joke. That's coming from me, someone who enjoys more challenging music than your average pop/rap/country/techno listener. If I listened to this ten more times I'm rather positive I still wouldn't like it. And that's OK. It's also OK that you do like it. More than OK as I rather adore the vocalist and am all for giving him support. Basically what I'm rambling toward is if certain music doesn't do its job and illicit positive emotions in the people who listen to it.. That doesn't mean there's something wrong with the people. Just that it's not something widely relatable. If you've ever tried playing your favorite song for an open minded friend and had them give you nothing but obviously forced enthusiasm for all of the parts and lyrics you point out as the "best" parts/lyrics, the ones that really hit home for you.. Then you'll know that not everyone can relate to the music that you do, in the same ways that you do. A lyric that gives you chills, or a guitar riff that sounds complex to play and requires genius to write, to your ears as a guitar player... They aren't going to do the same things for people who haven't had your experiences and don't see the world as you do.. It's not a shame society doesn't listen to exactly what you think they should because I promise you the music they do listen to is provoking all of the same emotions you experience listening to the music you do. Different strokes for different folks right? Anyway this comment lost even me many sentences back.. Not my best work but what can ya do?

      @darmakx99 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@danielnelson4881 wow, that's a rambling-ass way of saying, "Let people enjoy things" lol. But also I agree with you wholeheartedly. As long as people enjoy the music they listen to, I'm glad

    Когда пройду я в мир чрез лоно
    Увижу тень я бытия
    И к праху шаг мой каждый
    2 гласа чистых слышу
    “Быстрей плодись”
    “Не вопрошай”
    Прошу верни мне ветер то,
    что потерял я раньше
    В глазах все тени бытия
    Допью последний звездный блеск и погонюсь за отраженным, лунным
    Мерцает свет, свети
    Пространство исчезает
    Дверь распахнется
    О, сжавшись Солнце
    Уплотнись
    Брильянтом
    Криком оглуши
    Открой глаза и возгори
    Замри
    -Где это я?
    -Ia raue oun soal
    Куда ушел я?
    -Iaj o zeov ial andea
    -Слова что эти значат?
    -Alunea, dag ua nai
    Вернувшись без меня взошли ростки
    Вернулся я, потоки утекли, вне взгляда
    Вернулся я, деревья пали, вне взгляда
    Вернулся я, а жизнь прошла и все идет, но без меня
    Alunea

    It is very modern art feel song for me. A great metaphor for life and death. "all life came and went without me" made me cry the other day. It inspired me to explore and make a translation. It was a beatuful evening, thank you mr. @Kardashev

    Was blown away by Liminal Rites and am working my way back through all of the releases. All the years listening to melodic death, doom even some of the metalcore stuff I never knew that this was the sound that I was looking for. Your music moves me in a way I never knew. Thank you. You deserve all the success. Keep going!!

      @@KardashevBand No, thank YOU. This is seriously some the most beautiful music I've ever listened to. From the brutal heaviness, to the slower softer stuff, to the atmospheric ambience...it's just absolutely beautiful. The tones, the melodies, Mark's voice...you guys are phenomenal! I have not stopped listening to your music since I recently came across/discovered your band. I was immediately blown away and instantly became a fan. In an industry dominated by "pop", you guys have renewed my faith in metal. Shit, in REAL MUSIC for that matter. Real, raw talent. Your music makes me proud to be a metal head lol.
