The first ever officially recognised cricket match was the test between Australia and England played in 1877. If you know cricket, you would be familiar with the "Ashes" series.
Yeah but reverse swing is NOTHING like what you would experience from a baseball pitcher, it just does not exist whereas a fastball in baseball is just all about speed, it has very little spin or curve so doesn't adjust much in flight. A reverse swing delivery is moving in the air before it pitches on the ground and then it moves again once it hots the ground and depending on the speed/spin/air conditions could come down low, it could spin inward, outward and even be pitched in such a way that when it reaches your bat the ball is hitting the ground just as you lift your bat. The variations in cricket ball deliveries far exceeds that of a baseball pitch and the speeds vary much more too. This of course is tempered by bat size and distance reduction in speed once the ball hits the ground. They are both difficult to master
Actually he didn't make good contact with the ball and he didn't adjust well actually his form is bad but he has never played cricket so thumbs up for him.

Shushunk etc. Baseball was invented in England and there are references to it as long ago as the very early 1800s. Nowadays it's called Rounders; and played by children.
The first datable evidence of cricket being played is 17 January 1597. Cricket was popular in the US and played by most of the men who signed the Declaration of Independence.
The ball doesn't have to bounce. The bowler makes it bounce to make it harder to hit. A ball that doesn't bounce is called a "full toss" and is considered easy to hit. (A cricket bat is much wider than a baseball bat.) Normally a full toss should be hit out of the ground. A trajectory of a ball that bounces is often impossible to predict. It can bounce high, low, left or right, or some combination of those.
Prranjal Shrivaastav no it doesn't, a dead ball is if the ball bounces more than once. If it doesn't bounce, it is a full toss which is completely legal, it just has to be below the waist.
That's factually false. Do the comparison for real this time. The smallest baseball field is about on par with the biggest cricket field. You cricketers that gloat about baseball without knowing anything about it are cancer.
@@Superfly1503 The full perimeter of the MCG is ONLY used for AFL (Australian League or Aussie Rules) games. When cricket games are played the boundary is moved inwards. Boundaries for the T20 games are smaller than Test Cricket. In all cases safety rules demand that room be provided for player safety. The recent Women's World Cup final had a much smaller boundary. It is rarely possible to compare given cricket fields vaary so much and in many cases, especially in India, the grounds are what are loosely called postage stamp size. I don't think anyone based in India should be calling out other sports regarding standards of fields.
K A this is why the conversation is interesting. To say Baseball players are automatically better because they can hit it further ignores many things, such as what bats are made of, ball is made of and the fact cricket bowlers aren’t forced to bowl in a spot that’s easy to hit (strike zone). They can land it on their toes, aim at their head or their body with no penalty.
@@duke_hugo that's why it's more interesting as a bowler can target anywhere he wants and batsman have no clue about it and injured you seriously for whole life or even death(Philip Hughes case). Bcz in baseball a hitter work is only hit the ball as harder as he can. But in cricket it's vary easy to hit the ball but sometimes survival of batsman become tougher than hitting the ball, specially in test cricket, which is more enjoyable. For ex In t20 cricket(which is shortest format) it's easier to make 200 runs in 20 overs . But in test cricket (the legends game) sometimes it's harder to get 200 runs in 90 overss. , The most you can score ,if team batting well is around close to 300 runs in 90 overs. Also ,cricket is the only game which has seen some of most tense finishes in sports ever and can give you the moment for while life.(most probably in odi and test cricket). That's why I don't like hit me format of cricket T20 rather than this I like test and odi.

What is tough in baseball and cricket. Baseball : Very fast ball with a thin bat to swing and hit . Cricket:Ball bouncing changes everything even though bat size is huge but the bounce of the ball changes everything and ball bouncing at the speed of 150 km vs ball coming straight is very different story . What"s common ? The common things between both the games : Response time and hand eye co-ordination,Bat speed, transference of weight .
baseballs also move in some insane ways and the do it very late in the flight path. Ive seen videos of baseball players hit cricket, they do okay. Ive never seen a cricket player hit a baseball well. let alone an 90mph slider
t h it does move a lot but ur missing one thing. The ball is coming straight at the batsmen and could hit the batsmen. They have protection obviously but the ball is harder than the baseball and it definitely hurts. Baseball is a hard sport don’t get me wrong but it’s right next to you and rarely get hit. Also with foul balls in baseball the batters get more chances whereas in cricket once the ball is it it can go wherever meaning right behind him could be caught. Also baseball batters even if they get out they can come back in unlike cricket. In my opinion cricket is way harder.

i remember watching this sports science episode... it was so biased towards baseball it's hard to believe this was a science show... they got a spin bowler to bowl slower than he usually would, which is already considered slow, not to mention he wasn't even an elite level cricketer, and then claimed that it's easier to hit a cricket ball than a baseball pitcher pitching a fast ball... but in the end, they're two different sports, comparable in some ways, but different enough that you should be able to enjoy both without having to compare them side by side to decide which is a better sport... (the ball also doesn't have to bounce first, btw, but there are rules around full toss deliveries, such as height of the ball when it reaches the batter)

Yes, cricket is more difficult and much more complex. The weather is a big factor, as is the condition and the particular properties of the pitch and what different types of bowling can achieve on that surface on that day. The side which "reads" these elements most accurately has a big advantage. It's common for a side not to name their final 11 until they've had a close look at the pitch. According to what they make of it and the weather forecast they might leave out or include a particular type of bowler. Cricket was once very popular in the USA, and the first ever international match was USA vs Canada, played at Philadelphia in 1844. Philadelphia remained a significant centre of cricket until the early 20th century. Nowadays, cricket in the USA is mainly played by people from its global hotspots -India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Australia and, of course, the Caribbean. There is one cricket ground of (just about) international standard in the USA, in Florida, where there are close connections with the Caribbean. Cricket is the second most popular and second most played sport in the world. Those who doubt that should look at the population of India (about 4 times that of the USA or twice that of Europe) cricket's status there as a sort of mass religion and mega-celebrity culture, with negligible competition from other sports and huge amounts of money swilling around at the top levels of the Indian game. In terms of world cricket and its politics, nothing happens unless India agrees! That's where the big money and the truly cricket-mad mass following is.
In Asian leagues, match can be prematurely ended if rain will not stop and no time to resume it. for example, in Taiwan's CPBL, game between Lamigo and Brothers, which Lamigo as home team. Lamigo trails all the game until bottom of 8th, they lead 9-8, and Brothers fight back with runner on 1st and 2nd base, and rain falls hard. the game is called after 30 minutes, and umpires judged their is no way the game can be resumed, as 9-8 Lamigo won. Brothers manager argued the decision for not resuming the game, denied their chance to even the score line.
@@soundlessbird9181 No, I wasn't referring to weather intervening and stopping play, I meant READING the weather, the humidity, the difference between cloud cover and a clear sky, how these things change as a day progresses, and adjusting tactics accordingly. One thing about where the ball can bounce, 1" from your toes. or half way down the pitch and end up straight at your face. Of course there is not really a sweet spot on a cricket bat, it's not all about hitting it as hard as you can.
tallthinkev depending on how you "break-in" and care for your bat, it can have a sizable sweet spot. My bat's sweet spot is probably around 30 square inches, but that took a lot of care and time to create. A lot of "knocking in". The average is probably smaller, especially when you consider that pros go through bats more frequently than average players, so they have less time to break it in.

Cricket first mentioned in 1597, Baseball invented around 1839. So historically speaking, a huge difference. Also cricket has a much greater variety of types of deliveries, which requires a batsman (or batter), to have a greater variety of shots and placement of shots. Everything from seam, swing, reverse swing, pace, to leg and off sping bowling. Also the pitch used, determines the type of bounce and movement of the ball. Meaning depending on where you play, and who you play against, the ball will behave differently. Also a batsman in cricket, can at times be required to bat for hours on end, requiring a huge amount of concentration and physical endurance. In baseball, not even close to this. Cricket players also have to be alot fitter, whether batting or bowling, there is alot of running involved. Whereas with baseball, not so much. Cricket is also recognized as one of the biggest sports on an international level. Meaning the sport is alot bigger and more loved all over the world than baseball. I have alot of respect for baseball, and the nuances of the game. But at this time, I just cannot see it on the same level as cricket.
I believe, although I might be incorrect, but the reason the bowlers can't bend their elbow is because that would count as a throw, whereas not bending the elbow is a bowl, hence them being called "bowlers". Like I said, I might be incorrect about that but I'm sure I've read or heard that somewhere before. Also, I magine the speed the ball would travel if they were allowed to bend their elbow. It would be impossible to hit.
I am glad you are proud of cricket. We don't see much of a cricket here in America with possible exception of Florida due to the influence of Carribeans.
@@a.g.rhithwik That is because of most of today's Americans still don't know what cricket is. I know this, because I am an American. Cricket was a very popular game in late 1800s until Freemasons in USA replaced it with baseball.
A flat bat is NOT an advantage. Yes, it has a sweet spot, but it also has EDGES. Nick a ball off the edge and you're likely to be caught by one of the slips or by the wicket keeper. That's what they're there for. When fast bowlers are on top and swinging the ball through the air or seaming it off the pitch, there can be a whole umbrella of slips behind the batsman, just waiting to gobble up an edge. That's if it's an outside edge. Get an inside edge and you might be caught by the 'keeper or you might play the ball into your own stumps. "Played on" is always a humiliating way to get out. If the batting is on top, however, the slips might be reduced to just one, or maybe none at all, because all the fielders have had to go out to the deep to defend the boundary as best they can, to reduce fours to ones or twos.

In baseball the sweet spot of the bat is 800% less than the sweet spot on a cricket bat but a cricket bowler can bowl literally anywhere to the batsman while this is only a small window where a bowler can bowl a legal delivery in baseball
In cricket the ball doesnt have to bounce or pitch before reaching the batsman but it has to be below waist height otherwise its a "no ball" or "beamer" and the bowler will receive a warning. You can however legally target the batsman's head or body through short pitch bowling. Its a legitimate tactic to intimidate a bowler by pitching the ball short to aim at their head. While they wear helmets injuries happen occasionally and fortunately while very rare there have been serious injuries and even deaths.
The cricket ball does not have to bounce before it reaches the batsman. There is a ball called the 'full toss', which is aimed directly at the stumps without first contacting the ground. A full toss is a legitimate delivery but if it is too high (and endangers the batsman) it is called a 'beamer' and that is an illegal delivery which will be called a 'no ball' by the umpire, the delivery having to be made again, and a penalty of one run awarded to the batsman.
Okay but seriously American people on this thread. A pro cricket player would more quickly and more easily rise to the top of the MLB while a pro baseball player would take years to become a top international or even first class cricketer. A baseball player might be able to adjust to IPL T20 within 2 years. But ODI or Test would take 5+. I'd give Ben stokes 1 season to become a top notch MLB player. Cricket is harder in ever comparison and much much more skillful, tactical, entertaining, and popular than baseball is or ever will be. Baseball is the simple version of Cricket
Baseball is popular here in America because it is a freemasonic game. Not because it is anything special. Cricket on the other hand encourages wide range of talents. Cricket is popularized by people while Baseball was popularized by freemasonic establishments to brainwash Americans.
The other difference is that bowlers can aim at the batsman in cricket without being called a cheat. In fact, if a batsman is hit by the bowler, the batsman will usually be blamed for having a poor technique (even if he's in hospital). That changed very slightly some years ago when a much-respected elite Australian batsman was tragically killed when he was hit on the head by a fast ball in a domestic match. The batsman's protective head gear was redesigned.
You can’t fulltoss above the waist right? You get penalized for “wides” as well. But Baseball pitchers can pitch it wherever they want. So why make it sound as if baseball has the restrictions or penalties when in fact it’s cricket that limits where you can bowl it?
It has to be remembered that what we saw here, was a middle aged, out of condition man bowling at a top flight baseball player. They need him facing a fast, test match bowler to really see the difference.
Your example, too, is Twenty20 - 20 overs (6 legal deliveries per over) per team. Its closer to baseball's run time and generally has bigger hits - more 6's (automatic 6 runs if you hit over the boundary, sort of like a home run) so more "excitement" and closer scores. Not bagging the format out it works and its popular, but youve got also got one day games (50 overs per team) and the test match (5 day game, two innings per team, works out around 50 overs a day) The science comparison was interesting because i didnt know the sweetspot differences or how fast bowlers generated speed (and im Aussie, i warch cricket, never out 2 and 2 together!)
To all the American people that isn't even quarter of Cricket science there is a lot like the fast bowlers doesn't just throw fast balls he throws slower once, bouncers, in swing, out swing, lower full toss, Yorkers , reverse swing...... And there are tons of bowling actions for spinners too
cricket has more variety as compared to baseball. While you can play a no. of shots the pull, late cut, sweep, hook, square cut etc. and in bowling there are cutters, swings, the googly, the flicker and much more.
Life of a Blogger that’s not the point cricket is not only about swinging as in baseball it’s about technique and style. A well played drive or cut is sometimes way better than a six.
That's the only advantage a cricketer has against a baseball player...but u should keep mind since the cricket bat is flat..it also adds that much weight when compared with a baseball bat..plus 94 kmph is not the fastest ball..players like akthar ..I am not sure if u know him could generate a ball of speed 150_160 kmph ....plus balls used in baseball is not harder than a cricket ball...the field is different..among other things...cricket is a way harder than baseball..even in the video..that player who was a professional baseball player himself couldn't strike the ball first..the guy who throwed the ball was a rookie even though he found it hard...now just imagine what he would do when faced against a professional cricket player..who plays in the odi or test cricket ...it's a very tough sport
Back in the 60s and 70s a lot of Australian cricket players would play baseball in the off season as baseball was played in the winter downunder. Big name players like Bobby Simpson, Alan Border Norm O'Neill and Ian Chappell tried their hand at both sports.
I think any cricketers who also play Baseball no doubt become better cricketers as well. I think other cricket playing countries especially in England missed a trick because they are dismissive of any American sports. But in Australia they are far more embracing of American sports. As a result their cricket benefitted where as English cricket stagnated reaching a bit of a nadir in the 1990s. Whereas Australia became the best cricket side in the world in the 1990s. The English are not as progressive as the Americans or Australians for that matter. Which is one reason why the Aussies love anything American. Aussies can relate to the progressive thinking and ideas of Americans.

Hi There, I am not one for leaving comments normally but I have to say I liked watching this video. I haven't read all the comments below so if I am repeating someone else I apologise. I believe the white stuff on the noses and lips is sun block. There are in fact 10 ways a batsman can be dismissed (out) in a game cricket although some of these rarely occur. One of the more common forms is referred to as LBW which stands for leg before wicket. I am nearly 50 and still don't understand it. In a game of cricket the spin bowlers are normally employed later in the game after the fast bowlers. This is due to the wear and tear on the ball. A ball will not turn so much when it is new.
Why people comparing Cricket with Baseball 😁 Cricket = 2.5 Billion followers. Baseball = only 500 million followers 😀 Cricket is more and more popular and better than kid baseball.
I think people don't know that, How much potential, patience required for a batsman in cricket to score a big score or chase it down, coz you just have single chance of being out 🔥🔥
You can bat a ball behind you or over your head! Fielders do not have gloves to catch with. Its like catching a large golf ball (heavy and hard) fielder can get out either player! Try watching a twenty twenty game!
The cricket ball is harder and it doesn't have to bounce first.A ball that doesn't bounce is called a full toss which is usually smashed away easy by the batsman. Most good cricket players are single digit golfers also.
One way to show that the skill required in cricket for batting is more than in baseball, for cricketers, facing a ball which is coming directly at them (full toss) is quite easy and usually many runs can be scored off these deliveries. However, baseballers get the ball directly at them all the time, therefore it would be easier for a cricket batsmen to adjust to baseball than vice versa.
Moderate Muslim They didn't show cricket players adjusting to baseball hitting, but generally in cricket it is easier for the batsman to hit the balls that come straight at them (full tosses). In cricket the bowler can bowl full tosses but rarely do so as they know that that the batsmen can easily hit the ball. Based on that we could expect cricket players to adjust to baseball hitting much quicker.
Moderate Muslim The skill required to hit the ball is not enough in cricket. You need to be able to hit the ball all around the ground consistently, in test cricket that can be for more than 200 deliveries, while in baseball, the job all is done when a batter faces one throw. Patience and execution are required to bat well in cricket.
Moderate Muslim where is the patience in baseball? Every batter has one ball to face for the whole innings. Execution is required in both sports, however it is much harder in cricket than in baseball.
Moderate Muslim hey can you bat for 970 minutes and can you play 684 balls or can you play for 5 day cricket which consists of 9 hours each with the break of only 1 hour in a day and can you face outswing, inswing, reverse swing cutters slower balls or some offspin, leg spin, and left arm spin actually we cricketers can do in cricket bowlers have variations to get the batsman out but in base ball the pitcher throwing full toss bowl and which is very very easy for a batsman in cricket and yaa with any kind of bat
Moderate Muslim you didn't know anything about cricket go have some information then argue a 5 day cricket match is real test to check human physical and mental condition

Cricket is designed for high scoring, the reason the bat is bigger is because of this reason, if the bat was the same shape and size of a baseball games would be over in minutes as every time they miss they'd get out.
The sweet spot on a cricket bat is not huge...its slightly below the middle of the bat in the centre. The variations of propelling the ball ..fast medium pace or spin make cricket more scientific....and when the Ozzies get going with sandpaper on the shine to induce revers swing....

Can baseball player play reverse swinging 150+kph delivery?
they hit pitches 160+kph

It can bounce high, low, left or right, or some combination of those.
a cricket ball has to bounce
No it doesnt
Legally it doesnt. Below waist height on the full is a legal full toss or yorker
Yeah. Hit it all the way and try to get the 'maximum' - 6 runs of 1 ball. In baseball that would be home-run.
Prranjal Shrivaastav no it doesn't, a dead ball is if the ball bounces more than once. If it doesn't bounce, it is a full toss which is completely legal, it just has to be below the waist.
And cricket ground is twice the size of baseball ground
That's factually false. Do the comparison for real this time. The smallest baseball field is about on par with the biggest cricket field. You cricketers that gloat about baseball without knowing anything about it are cancer.
The biggest Mlb field is 172 meters and the mcg is 171 idiot
For ex
In t20 cricket(which is shortest format) it's easier to make 200 runs in 20 overs .
That's why I don't like hit me format of cricket T20 rather than this
I like test and odi.
u need to watch a video and see wat the wat the spinners can do with the ball there has has been some magical spinners in cricket
Muttiah Muralitharan, Shane Warne, Saqlain Mushtaq, Harbhajan Singh. Man those were the days. And what about swinging yorkers from Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Mitchell Starc, Allan Donald.......so many of 'em
Christoper Johnson yeah like sulieman benn from west indies
And some Johnty Rhodes fielding and catches! With no gloves!

Sarish Narine, Swann!!!
I’m confused to why we are arguing they are all hard sports in there own respective right
bat might be wide but its disadvantage is when seamers want you to play that bounce and you end up edging the ball
Not forgetting that a batsman has to run WITH his bat, instead of dropping it.
The fella is facing someone who bowled around 60 miles an hour professional cricket as well anywhere from 85 to 90 miles an hour
Sorry bat baseball pitches doesn’t go straight pitchers always tryna curve it
@@phxnigtmare you have seen a baseball player hit a 150 k bouncer you are delusional
t h it does move a lot but ur missing one thing. In my opinion cricket is way harder.
t h watch Jos Butler play baseball then
Every ball of Baseball is like come-on hit me hard in Cricket
@K A have you seen a swing bowler mate?
You can't hit idiot hah
@@생맥주포도주 stop arguing. Both game is different and both are hard enough. But in baseball, batting is little nerfed. And in cricket usage of brain is little bit more. In baseball there are curve ball, four seam, two seam, splitter etc. Where in cricket there are in swing, out swing, in/off cutter, seamer, yorker (in fast bowling), googly, flipper, leg break (in leg spin), off break, doosra, arm ball(in off spin) etc. Fielding setup also depends on types of bowling. @@NN94887 haha laugh so hard 🤣. Are you a joker?
Here's the thing, I think it's definitely a little easier to simply hit a cricket ball than a baseball pitch. The challenge is guiding the ball into tiny gaps between fielders and having to concentrate for hours on end in a match.
i remember watching this sports science episode... it was so biased towards baseball it's hard to believe this was a science show... they got a spin bowler to bowl slower than he usually would, which is already considered slow, not to mention he wasn't even an elite level cricketer, and then claimed that it's easier to hit a cricket ball than a baseball pitcher pitching a fast ball... but in the end, they're two different sports, comparable in some ways, but different enough that you should be able to enjoy both without having to compare them side by side to decide which is a better sport... (the ball also doesn't have to bounce first, btw, but there are rules around full toss deliveries, such as height of the ball when it reaches the batter)
Americans don't play cricket because they are afraid to lose against other countries. Big headed as always
Lol.. They play football and lose to small nations.. They don't need cricket thats all.. Time killings thats what they said
USA is only 16-12 in WBC(and the only reason they aren't .500 is because of 2017), 26-10 in Olympic play(1 gold, 1 DNQ), Cuba dominated the former BWC, The P12 campaign in 2015 featured a 3-2 group(JPN was 5-0), and got shut out 8-0 against KOR, and the 2019 P12 would likely end with a 2-1 group and likely a 3-2 Super Six record to miss the final

Everything A-Z Americans don’t play cricket because we have Baseball. Baseball was not stolen by nor even thought of in America back then. It was just made by a young american boy who created a game that would be later Americas Past Time game
The main difference is cricket requires more technique and baseball requires more power.
Except the T20 format which is all about power and less about technique.
Suyash Awasthi
It require power and good techinque. otherwise infront of 145 km hour bowler you can't hit a six
Suyash Awasthi and youre still up against a spinner, and youre still up againsts yorkers, and swingers, and defensive play is still involved
Its more about the "big," fast hitting scores - like your tail ender in a day/nighter just getting up as many runs before getting caught ir stumped.
thats not true
You are wrong even in t20 you need technique both in batting and in bowling
Cricket player needs to have a great power in onder to chase the ball
A full toss ball in cricket is considered as free gift that will be out of park.😂😂😂
Wow that proves cricket is easier. Why do you limit fulltoss to below the waist. Is a fulltoss above the waist too scary?
Cricket is not only about mindless swing of the bat, it is about skill, strategy, finesse, and power.
I'd like to see you head down to a local cricket club in your town. there would have to be one nearby, wherever alot of Indians Pakistanis English Australians are.
where in the USA are you?
On top of that a cricket game can go for days. A true test.
Joe Slater yep. A bunch of guys in white go into a field for five days to bowl, hit, or catch a little red ball and make as many runs as possible, stopping only for drinks, lunch, tea, nighttime, and rain.
Also cricket is a little more dicey than baseball. Due to the bouncing ball, youre at higher risk of copping one to the nadgers
T. M. Shannon Well, since 2015, there are day/night tests, too.
T. M. Shannon don't forget ball is mostly wood with leather
Paul Banks cork to be correct - but yeah its a tree.

A lot of Australian cricket players play Baseball in the winter to keep their hitting eye in .
Great man, that last sentence before the end of the vid. Just cuz something is harder does not mean it is allowed to change your interest. play whatever you like and feel like playing
The actual sweet spot on a cricket bat is about an inch square down the near the bottom in the middle
Even team selection is affected by such factors. If the forecast predicts cloud and high humidity a leg spinner might be left out in favour of a seamer who swings it plenty. Weather predicted to be hot and dry by the 3rd day? You may want that leggie in the side, especially if the other side has a lot of left-handed batting.

It would be impossible to hit.

topspin is fun. guy would think, ball will come at waist height, but ball drops below knee and probably increases speed too.

Wow I love that an American appreciates cricket!
Do yuvraj singh six 6 in an over reaction video.
I love both Cricket and Baseball ❤️
CRICKET BLOOD
Cricket is popularized by people while Baseball was popularized by freemasonic establishments to brainwash Americans.

kwagga capetown you mean rounders to any none American

Your example, too, is Twenty20 - 20 overs (6 legal deliveries per over) per team. Its closer to baseball's run time and generally has bigger hits - more 6's (automatic 6 runs if you hit over the boundary, sort of like a home run) so more "excitement" and closer scores.
Not bagging the format out it works and its popular, but youve got also got one day games (50 overs per team) and the test match (5 day game, two innings per team, works out around 50 overs a day)

An American guy in a pub asked me an Englishman about cricket, 3 hours later he says ''and you do all that on horses??''
Cricket is too complicated for Yankees
You can bat a ball behind you or over your head! Fielders do not have gloves to catch with. Its like catching a large golf ball (heavy and hard) fielder can get out either player! Try watching a twenty twenty game!
If I love you, can I play you.

Imagine shoaib akhtar delivering a yorker to the batsman lol
Cricket is designed for high scoring, the reason the bat is bigger is because of this reason, if the bat was the same shape and size of a baseball games would be over in minutes as every time they miss they'd get out.
this fella gets it, nice. HOWZAT!
The sweet spot on a cricket bat is not huge...its slightly below the middle of the bat in the centre. The variations of propelling the ball ..fast medium pace or spin make cricket more scientific....and when the Ozzies get going with sandpaper on the shine to induce revers swing....
Its nice to see an american appreciate and try and understand the game of cricket, nice work
