Karl and Frank were putting on compression socks, they weren't really being uncouth. They just don't want to do a Logan.

Definitely, one of my favorite scenes is that confrontation between Roman and Matsson. You really feel his anger in that moment, and damn is it satisfying to just have Roman deliver a clear "fuck you." In a show where people rarely say what they actually feel, Roman really is the most emotionally truthful one. The comedic mask he wears to hide his emotions is so thin at this point in the show, due to everything he's been through, it was only inevitable it would crack. Easily my favorite character in fhe show, and tbere's plenty of more great moments from him in the final season that Im super excited to see your reaction to. Keep it up man, and yes , I would love a series review/retrospective. 🙏

Just a little FYI It was $192 per share not 192 billion. I don't think we ever see how many shares have been issued though.

There were some clues. In "Lion in the Meadow" Josh says he "lost 10% of his 4% on this. $350 million." So if 10% of x is $350M then x is $3.5B. If $3.5B is 4% of the company then the company is worth about $90B, at that time. A few episodes later, at his birthday party, Ken reads the buyout letter which offers $2B for his share of the company, 13M shares @ $156/share. So if 13M shares is $2B then 585M would be about $90B. So 585M shares @ $192/share is about $112B.

The names that weren't on the kill list at the end were the people Shiv recommended to Matson after he told her about sending Ebba his blood. She told him Karolina and Gerri would be good and they were the ones left off the kill list, along with her husband, Tom

I would LOVE a series retrospective, huge upvote here. Also, you should watch some of the video essays before doing the retrospective. I recommend most everything from "Just an Observation" channel.

LOVE that idea! Finish the series, watch some essays and characters dissections and maybe even use them for reference. Looking forward to it!

Kieran Cullkin is an amazing actor. Fantastic!
EDIT: Oh, and the ending discussion is a wonderful idea. There are so many things we can't discuss now in the comments lest we spoil the show for others.

They landed at $192 per share, it's the share price not the total in millions or billions or anything (I too was confused about this for a bit bc idk shit about business)

Well, Mattson is right about one thing: News for old people doesnt really have much growth potential. There will be less and less old people in the coming decades and if theres one important metric for big businesses its growth. So it might be that he doesnt understand ATNs appeal, but something would have to change for that network in the coming years if it wants to maintain audience numbers.
Something about Kendall. Him sending Greg to leak the atmosphere to the press isnt a Logan move. Well, maybe it is. But its first and foremost a Kendall move. We see him doing that straight up in the pilote episode when hes pissed that Logan fucked him over.
Roman is constantly looking out for his family and more comfortable keeping them in the loop. Of course only as long as it doesnt directly go against his interests. But if it doesnt cost him, he would absolutely love a decent relationship with his family and seems to be the only one from the three siblings in Waystar who acts like that from time to time.

    • @MovieMan101
      @MovieMan101  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I see your point, however one could also argue that the old people of that "ATN" generation are passing along their values to some of the younger generation so that the cycle can (at least partially) continue.
True, regarding Kendall in the pilot. But didn't Logan also leak that his son was "on drugs" or "off the wagon" in Season 1? I thought that he was trying to sway public opinion a bit, though I recall him denying it upon being called out.

that sh*t was definitely underlined to me even before jesse armstrong talked about this after the finale 😭 bc not just two letters was crossed out but it was the last ones of kendall rOY like if it was the first two letter i would believe it was crossed out and logan added "greg?" maybe he was reviewing something idk but like they said this doesn't mean its recent

Wearing the same type of clothes that you sleep in, on an airplane, is trashy. I agree with you. People treat airplanes like hotels when they should be treated like public transportation.

@@Twarex01 there's many ways to be comfortable. One could say that being in just your underwear is comfortable, or in just a robe. Dressing like you're going to bed while you're in public is trashy imo. How are jeans not comfortable?

I really enjoy this episode it's probably in my top 5 season 4 episodes because of the acting but also the enjoyment I feel out of seeing the cast encounter a villainous character that we can all root against
From s1-3 there was never a 'villain' so we always turned towards hating the roy family (depending on what was happening would depend on which family member gets hated on; usually logan) but now with someone both the roys AND the audience hates, it's fun to be on the same side as the roys
