    To anyone reading this almost all my batchmates have a similar story to me.
    Graduated in 2020 in Mechanical engineering. Did 3 internships, had 2 research papers published, WAM of 83.4 during the course. I was part of a racing club and led the fest organising team during my final year. Got placed in a company in Banglore but the offer was rescinded in March 2020.
    I did everything that was required but still could not find a well paying job. Later on found a job in a boiler manufacturing company for only 14k a month after 6 months of struggling.
    After 9 months of working I got fed up of bad working conditions and I applied for masters and got into a university with worldwide ranking under 50. Got a part time at a grocery store where I earned more in a week than in a month back in India.
    Now tell me why would anybody want to stay in India. I love my country and really want to serve it. But I don't see a reason to come back.

      Indians don't care about fellow Indians. It's a fact. Most people at the top are selfish and try to exploit others . Even in high capitalist countries they have high minimum wages. In communist China the average factory worker earns 3x more still they manufacture more than India and export powerhouse. Indian rulers are not better than east India company

      I, too, had a traumatic history working for India Inc., but I am still in the abyss.I finished from pharmacy school in 2013 and after an 8-month job search, I was hired as an analytical chemist (a-r&d) in a large api (bulk medicine) facility in Andhra; they paid me 10k per month, however the plant is located in a jungle.Work hours are 10 hours every shift, however you are required to work 14 hours. After two years, I became quite ill as a result of an ammonia leak near the facility, and they admitted me to a hospital and they didn't care about me. Later, in 2016, I interviewed with a bpo company and worked my way up to become an I.T infrastructure engineer.I don't want to talk about politics or religion,neither about the infrastructure and governance .The system is collapsing as a result of policy failure, and this will happen regardless of who comes to power, as I know from my time working in Europe.Just stay where you are and save some of your earnings but do not come here.

    Salary will not increase in India for many decades to come. Employers have options to pay pathetic wages as we are just too many in numbers. Had we been 10 cr people only (I won't have been born in that case, of course), they'd have had shortage of job seekers and paid and treated them well. That's not the case. So, we're screwed. Now listen to baba-gyaan of 70hr-80hr-100hr per week for youth of India for 'tyaag' with peanuts in return. Enjoy.🎉

    • @imparthv
      @imparthv 5 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      If our population was somewhere around 10 Cr as per your hypothesis, still the wages wouldn't grow. More than 40% of India currently is employed in agriculture thanks to small and marginalized farmers, government policies on MSP and fertilizers etc. Sure you could have replaced them with more machines to do the job . Now going with the labour intensive manufacturing sectors, it would still be difficult to get more wages. Big industrialists would have arm twisted government to relax any norms related to migrants just to have an influx of cheap labour so as to book record profits and fill their coffers . You can compare the above scenario with rich European and North American nations. The problem currently being experienced in India is too much of an influx of a workforce in a particular sector . We completely neglected the manufacturing sector's ability to absorb the workforce during the period of 1970-2010 and directly jumped to the skill based services sector which in no doubt contributed to India's GDP with a staggering 60% but it failed to deliver on the issue of employment.
      You will also need to consider PPP and other govt social services while comparing scenarios with other countries .

      The Baniya mindset exists everywhere and is not solely an Indian problem. In other countries, CEOs mostly look at short term gains of increasing shareholder value by introducing a large number of cost cutting measures most of them being unjustified only to cause more troubles for the organisation later on. Consider popular cases of Stellantis, Boeing, GE and others. Also the per capita growth is highly dependent on population which in case of India hurts us badly.

      MSME sectors are pronged with dwarfism and multi plant setup issues. These are often supported by schemes with sunset clauses . Once the deadline appears MSME owners shut down their plants and start new plants to continue and enjoy government support. It hurts employment creation , prevents creation of new MSMEs which are actually in need of government support and our competitiveness in the long term.

      Due to the stock market, about 10% of the global population controls 88% of the wealth, while the remaining 90% of people (a.k.a. consumers) are left struggling with inflation, unemployment, and hunger. Still, the capitalists are worried about declining fertility rates as they keep wanting to grow their wealth by squeezing every penny from the Consumers.
