The Ghana Railway should take back their land and develop that land with warehouses and a modern railway station. Our Ga leaders must press on the incoming government to develop that land with the cooperation of the Ghana Railways
it must be used for a project that will serve Ghana and some of the revenue derived from the project should be given to the owners of the land in this case the Ga Dangme people. we should have a say in what our lands are used for
Nkrumah had a plan to build railway quarters on the land for the civil servants working for the railway line,but look at what they have turned the place into,what a shame.if the land can’t serve its purpose,then the Ga-mashie quarters that the land belongs to should speak up NOW
You can’t call this place a market,it’s a slum which doesn’t belong in that area.i feel for them in a kind of way,but central Accra is too congested,they need to decentralised a lot of things in Ghana.most of these people are Akan,build a market for them ,where they come from,so that they can trade there
Kwame nkrumah acquired the land for Ghana railway company projects,but these squatters turn the place into a slum/market.ghanaians have a long way to go with these kind of behaviour.they just don’t want to let go of the place to be develop for what it was meant for,but rather turn it into politics

That market should be permanently closed. A new market should be built in a different location,possibly in Kwahu

Nii Tettey, I’m suggesting you talk about the kantamanto land. The market men are rebuilding and they need to be stopped. Ga chiefs need to stop them.
