Like how you raise it up a bit on those pavers. It's the perfect height for loading the firebox but I've always had a problem with it being so low. You are correct with running the bottom valve wide open for higher temps. I agree....why waste valuable fuel after it's got all the smoke necessary. 👍 The KBQ Rocks!!! 🔥👍
that KBQ looked kinda gimmicky at first glance but man that is a solid smoke ring. The shoulder looked perfect. I feel sold lol. Going to have to look into it. Enjoying your channel. :)
I have a Kamado Joe and love it. Would you recommend the Karubecue as a “sidekick” for that grill? Also, could you describe the flavor of that pork and what vent settings you used on th KBQ? Thanks! Have loved your video series on this smoker. Looking forward to more!
Nice cook John. Your pork butt was very tender. You had some good eatin for sure. I would rather for the door open to the side instead of letting straight down in front so you have to reach over it, other than that it is a great cooker. Just feed it splits and walk off a while. Heavy Metal Barbecue has that cooker and I've always been intrigued with it.
Been watching you for years... Love your work..

It is amazing. As long as you can babysit it and have a good wood supply it does the gig very well
Dang, ive been missin out. Not sure why i wasnt gettin notified. Awesome video bro. Good info
Great video, can you tell me which temp probe you are using. My new thermoworks smoke will not fit. Thanks!
Its an OXO oven thermometer I picked up at bed bath and beyond that had a straight probe with no big bulbs on it anywhere

I would recommend the KBQ for any kind of smoking. It will be my go-to when I have the time to feed it.
