I've been searching for almost an hour for real Christmas songs, you know the songs about the Son of God being born for us. I was frustrated with all the 'holiday' songs in the name of "Christmas songs". They aren't Christmas songs in my pov. I'm so glad to have found this video. And it's awesome to know that these songs aren't sung by a choir alone but by a faithful congregation in a bible believing church. Now I can joyfully join them in praising the newborn king. God bless the uploader!
The part I like, too, is that you can actually HEAR the congregation! Our church has been modernized with all the latest musical equipment that completely drowns out the voices of the congregation. I gave up going to the "worship" service because of it being so loud that my chest vibrates. Worship, it seems, has become a spectator event instead of a participatory one. I now go for the sermon and fellowship afterward. I love this recording!

I miss going to a church that had a choir and orchestra blessed by God with this talent. So glad that I can find these songs done so well on here. I love these songs! I especially love hearing the entire songs. So often, people only sing the first one or two, or selected verses. I love how they perform God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and What Child is This in a style that sounds like how they may have been performed when they were written. Wonderful!

Excellent message in song presenting the real, heartfelt message of Christ by His people for whom He IS THE Savior! These old hymns herald a wealth of theology about WHO HE IS and why HE came to earth to be our Savior. The line, "...how silently the gift is given..." reveals how God works behind the scenes without trumpet or blaring of horns to reveal Jesus as His precious Gift to each one who will recognize HIM as "My Savior!"
