"...the dreamers need the realists to keep them from soaring too close to the sun... and the realists, without the dreamers, might not ever get off the ground..."😊😊 absolutely my favourite quote I've heard so far!
The best thing about Modern family is the monologue at the end of episodes. The stories each member encounter may be different and seem unrelated at first but perfectly fit into the theme of that episode ( love, sharing, understanding ... )
When Luke asked if they think the thing could launch a human and Phil chuckled, paused and said, "let's do the pumpkin first" just shows how supportive he always is of Luke, never shutting down his ideas, no matter how seemingly inane it might seem. It's one of my fav moments of the entire show.
Haley raised her hand halfway bcoz she is actually both realist and a dreamer at the same time, which justify her character completely. The attention to detail in this show is amazing.
Or maybe she was just fixing her hair. No need to look too much into it. In fact, judging my Haley's disapproving looks towards the skeptics it's clear that Haley is a dreamer.
@@killvish2885 That's not even close to true. You can see at 3:00, before the realists and skeptics united, Haley AND Alex didn't participate in the chunkin because they were covering up the massive dent they made on their parents' car.
@@killvish2885 not really when cam was talking about the dreamers at 2:04 he clearly gestures to the group haley was in im pretty sure she's a dreamer and she was just fixing her hair
4:38 I really love the little details of this show. If you pay attention, you will notice that Eric Stonestreet is using his real voice, which in my opinion it reinforces the moral value that this episode delivers.
Something I learn between myself (realist) and my best friend (dreamer). My dreamer friend push me to try new things or to go for what I want and establish confidence in. While, me being the realist, reminds him of the possible consequences of actions, help him make non emotional decision and also be there when he did indeed fail and help him get back up
Today a friend of mine asked me about my thoughts on dreamers and realists and what should we be in life, and immediately this came to my mind. I told them about this and then came here to watch it again. This is so beautiful, top tier! I want to cry because of its beauty 🥺
There are dreamers and there are realists in this world. You’d think the dreamers would find the dreamers and the realists would find the realists but more often than not the opposite is true. You see the dreamers need the realist to keep them from soaring too close to the sun and the realists, well without the dreamers, they might not ever get off the ground.
Such a lovely ending, with a great buildup. That is excellent screenwriting right there. It did not even need the ( typical for Modern Family and in some ways exposition-like) voice over summering the point of the episode.
yeah my mom is a dream squasher too. whenever i want to do anything all she can do is come up with every possible scenario where it can go wrong. which is especially frustrating when i need her involved in it, shell just say "oh but what if this happens, what about that, or that." and if theres even one thing on her mind that just maybe might not work, trust me, she aint going nowhere

This quote has me crying
Always
the quotes are pretty inspiring
Beautiful
I’m a realist my partner is a dreamer this just fit perfectly 😅
Phil knows how to push Claire’s buttons..”…is it turkey coz something smells like chicken 🐔 “😂😂
All husbands know how to push their wives' buttons. 😂
he got her there lol 😂
I was like, that's so Un-Clairey to back down from a reality check challenge. Then BAM!😂
That line was hilarious 😂
Marty McFly would agree with you!
It's cute to see Lily being held by Haley then 10 years later Lily is taller than her. How time flies
Timelapse?
Yeah lily is now 5’4” but Haley is 5’2”
so true! reminds me of when I used to put my younger cousins in my lap when they were little and now they're a whole foot taller than me lol
@@samitaraniswain712:21
Me toooo...i deliberately search this scene to know how other people comment about haley carry lily
This is the scene that always gets me. Idk why buy that line about realists and dreamers deserve all the awards it should get.

Because honestly it's kind of true 😊

THEY ALL LOOK SO YOUNG, MY HEART
I KNOW RIGHT
I watched the first episode and Luke and manny looked so different!!
Honestly this is Cam's most inspirational moment.

This was my favourite lesson.
Same! Loved it then, love it now!
When Cam saw Alex deny that it was gonna work he should’ve known because she’s a literal genius
I was wondering where she was at when they were constructing their chunker. She could have easily figured out the math to make it happen.
but cam suceed in the end
post credit
But that's the thing she smart she should know that it can happen
But if she’s a genius SHE should’ve known that it would work. It’s not that unbelievable
@@kaycad9605she probably was watching from a distance to see if they'd figure it out lol
2:20 absolutely love Manny's reaction
my favorite part was when they committed larceny by taking everyone's pumpkins
Wow you must be fun.
They are going rot in a trash can anyway. Lots of pumpkins wasted every year. You can't eat the big ones.
get over it
Lily and Joe grew up to be real Pritchetts 😆
You know very seldom a show makes a special place in your heart, this is one of them. We miss you guys.....
Haley always had such a motherly warmth around her… if that makes sense like just look at her take care of lily
actually I never thought about that before but you have a point. she naturally looked out for her younger siblings, too. and even manny sometimes
"I've never klunked a tunkin either, these aren't real words!!"
I always admire this show wondering how beautiful the writing is, actors suit perfectly on those beautifully written charecters
It's exactly here, that the Non Pritchett spouses formed an Alliance, the Orange Juice if you remember
Makes sense that it would be after this
I like how wholesome & real this show can be at times
Great acting by Sarah at 1:56 you can see that Haley is a dreamer. That subtle look she gives them.
I wish I had a family like this.
Yea man same...
You can create your own
Its always on screens, that why we watch it on TV.
Everyone is wishing for the same thing.

3:01 Do you think this could lauch a human...
Oh luke , let's do the pumpkin first 😂😂
I love the In-Laws(“Dreamers”) moments and how united they are(and also, they are the best characters on the show)
But you need the other characters to balance them off 😀
One of the most memorable episodes for me
The early-to-mid seasons of Modern Family are gold.
It's sweet how Hailey hold Lily
They look like a real family ❤️

The most beautiful episode. Cam sums it up perfectly.

LOVE 🧡 please upload more Modern Family videos!
This show has arguably the best episode endings.
Everyone likes to think they’re a dreamer…but they’re not! I’m a proud Pritchett! 🤣
Everytime I watch this I have goosebumps. This is the best quote of the entire series and for my life!
Truly the greatest show of all time!
when modern family was at its prime
Wow i did not expect that last part to be so poetic and deep especially from a comedy series
Phil brings me so much joy. This show makes anything just a little bit better!
Is that turkey? Something smells like chicken…😂😂😂 sensational
Gloria: .......'it's like I married my mother!"
I love the way the character of cam put his hand up hence confirming him making it up.
Anybody who's a bit of both, dreamer and realist? ☝️
Loved the last part - launching of 🎃 ❤
Luke wanting to send lily flying always makes!e chuckle
