New York fans are rough especially when it comes to baseball. Javy has been use to the friendly confines of Wrigley field. No way does he sign in New York this off season. He will be looking elsewhere.

Mets might just sign Seager in free agency and ship Lindor out for some starting pitching or a quality 2B like Arraez from MN who could hit leadoff. Baez won’t be resigned.
This was already old 5 days ago when it dropped. Enough. The Mets players are overreacting to getting booed, too many Mets fans are being a bunch of over-dramatic whiners over it, and the media won’t stop stoking the fire. Yeah Javy, you tell those fans!!! How *DARE* these fans boo the team with the best record in baseb….. oh wait. Your team went from a 4 game lead to 3rd place in the division. Not to mention you’re barely hitting over .200 and the team has gone 9-21 since the deadline. Fans will ride with you when you hit a cold streak, but when the cold streak is longer than the positives, what do you want them to do?
You gotta boo your teams when they are garbage or making bad moves cause otherwise all our favorite organizations slowly grow into a Detroit franchise and nobody wants to see that tragedy unfold.

And then the fans finally grew to love him and both sodes ended up not wanting to part ways until Hoyer decided to cut this team off at the knees and trade him so the rebuild could start.
The only difference is the Mets are terrible and their deadline acquisition and 10 year 341 million man are the ones doing it while fans are paying their own money which ownership uses to pay players. If someone underperforms their salary by that much they deserve every single boo especially with the circumstances and roller coaster this season has been.

@@aa697 I can't understand how booing at a game helps your team? If they are performing badly, how does compounding more negative thoughts lead to a more positive outcome?
The thumbs down was really the middle finger,
Same circus, different clowns and I have been a fan for 40 years, truth hurts.
Ain't no fun when the rabbit got the gun. Don't dish it if you can't take it, period. You can miss me with the "they make a lot of money" nonsense.
this was a good rant
It was perfection
Eisen admits Yankee fans are obnoxious. Gotta respect that.
Just hand Baez his Participation trophy now. Boo-ez!
So glad Baez is in New York!
You failed to acknowledge the Rangers and their Claw and Antlers hand motions 10 years ago. THATS when this became a thing. Except the Rangers were classy, and were stoking the crowd, not mocking them.
As a Braves fan, Javy just shot up the ranks as my favorite Met.
Please sign him.
@@whkrause he seems to be doing just fine up in NYC.
@@icekapp7221 No, I insist, as a tribute to the outstanding Braves organization, please take him.
Rich's NYC accent was extra stronger for this one!
Long Island isn’t really NYC it’s just kinda there
Rich is from Staten Island, he told me that himself when I met him in 2002
Best believe I will be tuned in at 7pm est lol
Thank you Rich Eisen
Love you rich but as a lifelong mets fan. Totally agree with javy.
They shouldn't use the thumbs-down when they do well. They should do it when they are being booed.
I don't think it's productive to boo, but I suppose it's their right. But it's also the right of the player to react how they feel necessary. I don't think the braves have ever been booed regularly the home fans. Silence is louder than boos
This almost seems fake, it’s impossible that players can have this belief. It’s impossible
Mets probably should have remembered Bobby Bonilla and reevaluated their decision
Millions of dollars and a lifetime of adoration when you're good at your job, but when youre bad a boo is out of line?
You really want to know what's wrong with the Mets? No Degrom, no De-win! And that's the bottom line!
If the racists don't get a pass I demand the anti-bald contingent in society be held accountable.
Stromal getting "racist" threats?PROVE IT,guy strutting around clubhouse with BLM merch. I smell a big ,fat,Smollett.Unreal, the hypersensitivity and open hostility toward the fans. They HATE the fans and showed their true vibe.
This is exactly why Rich Eisen is the best commentator in sports today.
I felt that Met fans booing Lindor early in the season was unfair. It was early, you know? Now Mr. Baez, Mr. Lindor and rest of those sorry players who dare disrespect those loyal Met fans. How dare you come after fans who've been suffering for years. Met fans just witnessed their team fall out of first place in August thanks to ya'll and the rest of those overpaid bums. And this is coming from a Yankee fan. I don't care if we have a friendly rivalry I can't support that.
I honestly thought they were ripping off Todd Frazier's celebration.
New York fans are rough especially when it comes to baseball. Javy has been use to the friendly confines of Wrigley field. No way does he sign in New York this off season. He will be looking elsewhere.
He's not gonna want to sign in NY after what he's gonna get from the Met fans for the rest of the season!
@@jaybird8192 Trust me he doesn't want to sign even now. He will want a fresh start with another team
noway the mets sign a free swinging bum like baez he cant handle the pressure most players cant
@@ddm62571 Yup, He can't take the New York heat!
Fans are fine, it's steve cohen being a twitter troll that the players are really booing, they just can't say it
Yeah, that's probably true. Easier to tell the fans off than the owner
What skill does javy have other than baseball will pay him his multi million dollar a year job ,those fans pay you're salary
🙄 No, the team does. Fans don't own players, and they aren't their boss. You don't get to go and be a jackass to a waitress just because you pay money that eventually gets to their checks. Why the hell should it be any different for athletes? That's elitism in reverse.
@@kyletucker3811 What if the waitress does a lousy job?
So the fans boo the team, yell racist crap, and flip the players off and that's (to them) part of the game.
The players get fed up and tell the fans to screw themselves, but the players are wrong. Got it.
so applaud them when they strike out? im confused????
Don’t dish it out if you cant handle it
Who can't handle it?
@@Vic-Vega The fans. The fans can't handle getting booed by players. It ain't no fun when the rabbit got the gun.
@@kyletucker3811 Weird analogy -- in real life, rabbits regularly get shot. Your average baseball player pockets $5 million (and that's whether he actually "plays" or not).
Fans pay to get into the stadium -- players are compensated (rather ridiculously, by the way).
Why isn't the paying crowd "the rabbit," Kyle?
@@Vic-Vega lol so just because you pay means you can do anything you want to them? Because these guys are payed a certain amount of money means they should just suck it up right? It’s a thumbs down maybe the fans should just suck it up?
@@withachance I never said the fans should be able to do "anything they want to," idiot -- I said they should be able to boo.
And, yeah, when you get paid over $1 million to play A CHILD'S GAME, I kinda think you just need to suck it up and git gud.
If not, Subway's always hiring...
Wow such a great video. I love your takes and you made great points. They are mentally weak players and they don’t belong here. Unfortunately lindor is here for a long time. As a life long Mets fan that why I am not a fan of signing a guy before they play in NY. Some guys can’t handle the pressure
Fans can boo whoever they want.
Players can boo whoever they want.
The only thing that’s gonna change that is if/when it starts affecting profits.
I feel so sorry for the players who make millions. That’s showing them
Baez has a point. Doesn't it say in the bible to reciprocate negativity with negativity squared?
This is a big "why" as to why I stay away from MLB. More perspective in following collegiate, MiLB and the foreign leagues.
Millionaires do not like to be booed.
Anybody who says the Mets fans haven’t been excessive ain’t been watching 😂
Heh, god bless 'em. Boo them, I say. Throw trash onto the field
@@roarbertbearatheon8565 nothing says you're a grown adult like throwing trash and tantrums because players slump 👍.
@@Jetsua02 Never seen a kid do that stuff. Players should get out of their slumps in the off season, if they expect people to pay to see their "slump" level of play, they can go right back out the door. They're paid enough I shouldn't have to see their "slumps"
@@roarbertbearatheon8565 yeah because everyone thrives a month after being traded. You sound like a child.
Just crazy, I don't have to be better, the fans have to. Lets blame others.
Instead of booing, fans just shouldn’t show up to games. Why pay $150-$200 plus food and drinks just to have shitty time with your team? Just don’t show up because an empty stadium sends a louder message than booing.
The fans are fair game. I don't personally understand booing your own team, but having gone to games with NY fans, I think it's an east coast thing that I never understood... booing because they're not playing well and then expecting them to be silent and just play better is a type of hypocrisy that deserves further study.
Mets might just sign Seager in free agency and ship Lindor out for some starting pitching or a quality 2B like Arraez from MN who could hit leadoff. Baez won’t be resigned.
Wtf would trade for lindor
This was already old 5 days ago when it dropped. Enough. The Mets players are overreacting to getting booed, too many Mets fans are being a bunch of over-dramatic whiners over it, and the media won’t stop stoking the fire. Meanwhile, the Mets have won 7 of 8, and Báez, Lindor, and Pillar are ALL getting clutch hits. No better remedy than winning, so can we please STFU about it?
Lindor should be ashamed. 43 million. Unbelievable. I’d be booing even when i wasn’t at the ballpark
Darvish was destroyed in chicago... If you're raised with a team and win a ring you get spoiled here's looking at Javy
I never heard Darvish get booed during games. Yeah the Twitter meatballs hated him but they also hated Kris Bryant. I just don't understand why anybody would boo their own team. It doesn't make sense to me
@@kennylevine1150 they shredded him I was at the game he almost cried afterwards. I remember The interpreter
And then the fans finally grew to love him and both sodes ended up not wanting to part ways until Hoyer decided to cut this team off at the knees and trade him so the rebuild could start.
@@danr154 Hoyer obviously resented Epstein for getting all the credit, even though he did a lot of the work, that's why he wants a legacy of his own.

He is absolutely correct about everything he said
If fans can boo players then players can boo their fans.
The only difference is the Mets are terrible and their deadline acquisition and 10 year 341 million man are the ones doing it while fans are paying their own money which ownership uses to pay players. If someone underperforms their salary by that much they deserve every single boo especially with the circumstances and roller coaster this season has been.
I agree but the optics are... Just terrible.
First time you've heard of sports, huh?
I’ve boo’d my teams everybody has. Being an LA fan I was there when kershaw choked against the Cardinals I’ve seen Jansen implode and I saw the lakers be dogshit before lebron arrived. My gripe is the attitude New Yorkers have to everything and that’s why it’s so great to see them lose. At least Yankees fans acknowledge the arrogance but Mets fans act the same and swear they’re better than Yankee fans
As a Yankees fan, I totally agree with this.
I've literally never booed my teams. Expressed frustration by yelling and cursing? Sure. But not actively directed a boo at them. Of course, I find booing anybody but a ref a waste of energy.
@@kyletucker3811 so cursing at your team is better than booing? Lol we the fans pay our hard earned money to show up and if they don’t play to the level we know they can play at we can boo. I don’t always boo but there have been times when my teams have been underwhelming
@@97NikeSb Yes, because I'm not joining together with thousands of other people so they hear it. That's me talking to essentially myself, not directing it at the players. And you want to boo? Fine. But they have the right to push back.
This idea that just because you buy a ticket it gives you the right to act how you want to the players is foolish. That's like saying because you go to a restaurant and order food it gives you the right to be a jackass to the wait staff if the food isn't good or it's slow. If you want to boo the players. they should have the right to push back.
I don’t boo but you can’t boo the fans or else you won’t have a team.
That stadium? That’s the problem with it. It’s huge. It’s a stadium, not a ballpark. It’s way too big. It’s too big to watch baseball and too big to play baseball.
Lindor instigated this. Baez foolishly went along. Pillar got caught up in the stupidity. Bottom line: Lindor should NEVER had signed with a NY team. He should have taken the contract Cleveland offered him, but he wanted more $$$$. Now it's very likely he's going to be miserable for the next 10 years.
Well done sir!
As a tribe fan, god damn has Lindor lost his way, WTF is he doing booing his fan base for the next decade 🤦🏻♂️. Read the room Francisco!
Booing your fans is the most New York thing ever.
OK 👌 No other cities boo their teams? Boston? Philly?
@@josephrocco2954 no I mean the players booing the fans. I have never heard of anything like that and makes sense it would happen in New York, that's a tough market to play in.
The problem with Baez is he has rabbit ears. If he has a problem with fans booing him, then play better, dude. Using the "we're going to fail 3 times out of 10" doesn't work especially in the Big Apple. As long as you do your job, they'll love you, but you pull the thumbs down BS the fans won't let you forget.
This is so ridiculous you’re a professional athlete… if you don’t want to get booed or criticized when you’re not doing well you and your boys can get together in a field somewhere and play some sandlot ball otherwise treat the people who make it possible for you to get paid to play a child hood game with respect..
"Is there a mirror anywhere in the borough of Queens?"
As a Cubs fan, we don't boo our own players. For better or worse, very few Chicagoans will boo their own team.
WHY IS EVERYBODY SURPRISED.
Mets fans will never hate their team more than Phillies/Philly fans
The players should’ve kept this to themselves. Whatever it takes to motivate themselves is fine by me. But he shouldn’t have called out fans like that in the presser.
I'm so happy Baez said what he said. He spoke the truth. Alonso talks non sense and the fans love it.
Agreed. Fans feel too entitled to act however they want to the players for the team they support without any repercussion. That's like saying because you buy a dinner at a restaurant, you can be a jackass to the staff if service is bad.
