Yeahhh, usually I don’t burn easily, but in SEA, it’s a whole other story 😅 Luckily it was pretty much gone in 2 days. The food there was FANTASTIC, by far our favorite restaurant during our stay!
I am envious that in Korea you are so close to other Asian countries. Here in Canada we are so far from Asia and Europe. Thailand and Vietnam (especially) are on my bucket list. Food looks amazing! I buy my coffee from my fave banh mi shop.

The temple is absolutely stunning. And, The cave systems in Vietnam are world famous with spelunkers and explorers. So the country is a really popular destination for them.
I feel the same way as Sarah, when I moved to Kansas from Florida I didn’t realize how much I needed a beach in my life! Where ever I end up retiring I must have a beach near by lol it’s definitely a necessity 😍 and Beemo as always the cutest!!!

What is really good for sunburn and also helps with blistering is cold Aloe gel. I put a bottle in the fridge to keep it cool, because sunburn has a lot of heat in it, this will make the skin feel so nice and cool it down when it's from the fridge.
For REAL. We noticed a lot of people are up super early in the morning there. We were active from around 5am-10am, then from like 7-10pm…cause any time between that, we were ROASTING 🥵

The acoustics of Marble Mountain are interesting. It would be fun to play musical instruments in there. On hot Summer days, my dad always wears long sleeved shirts outside. I used to think he was crazy, however, a thin material long sleeved shirt is actually not as hot as it seems. I get sunburn very easily, so I think I'd have to opt for the long sleeves also. So glad that your Beemo is still doing well!
Next time when you go back you guys should rent a motorbike for a day and just drive around. Such a great way to explore and easy to pull over if something catches your eye ❤
Kyuho's 'whee's in the ocean killed me every time. Loved the energy! (Also do the same thing everytime riding waves 😂) Seconding the other reccomendations for aloe on the burn! Taking a tea towel, soaking it (then wringing it out so its not dripping) with cool water and draping that on the burn has alsp helped me....drenching the affected area with moisture
"South East Asian sun is no joke" ...tell me about it!! 😂🤣🤣🙈 As someone who was born and raised under said SEA sun (and enjoyed beach trips as well) 9 AM is like _the cutoff_ time for our family's morning beach trip. After 9 AM we usually leave the water and just enjoy the scenery from the shade of the beach shack/umbrella/tree/what have you (because the UV rays get intense from 9 AM onwards 😳😩). We only go to the beach again in 3 PM(ish), that is if we go again in that day. That is also the time the UV rays becoming less intense during the day (bonus point if the beach we visit happens to be a sceninc sunset beach ofc). I know that the clouds and mist at the beach usually count as "bad beach weather", but the bright sky behind them makes the scenes here look extra dramatic, I love seeing them 👀👀✨ I first tasted Vietnamese coffee when my (late) aunt brought some back as a souvenir from her Vietnam trip. It is so chocolatey! (So interesting! 😳👀👀). I know that it is a robusta coffee (ie. has more caffeine than arabica coffee, which is my usual favorite coffee ftr), I usually don't drink robusta coffee as often but Vietnamese coffee is so flavorful that way. Maybe one day I'll have some as souvenir as well if I travel there 😺 (And Beemo welcoming you in the end...😺🥺, too cute 🥺💙✨😺)
I wish I had gotten that “9am cutoff time’ memo before I got toasted 😩 I just assumed I’d be fine with SPF50 until around 11am…and clearly that was not the case, lol 🥲 And yessss! I definitely get a ‘dark chocolate vibe’ from Vietnamese coffee! I usually never drink coffee, but I LOVE theirs 😍

I wear long sleeve hoodies that have a breathable material and also has UPF protection, quick dry and odor control in the summer. I usually take a look what the locals are wearing on TH-cam. I also hate carrying umbrellas so I have packable rain jacket. Oh the grass jelly is something the Chinese have during the summer to cool you down, internally. Since it’s an herbal

Oh no that sunburn😢hope you get better soon! Sunburn is no joke...that is why many Koreans wear UV rashgard in the sea and swimming pool. My dad is allergic to sunlight so rashguard is a must😂 Thanks for sharing the Vietnam vlogs and love Beemo as always❤
Thank you! Luckily it healed after two days or so 🌞 I don’t like the feeling of wearing rash guards/ clothing layers while swimming, so I guess I’ll just have to swim between 5-8am and 4-5pm next time 😂
as a southeast asian i also wear long sleeve (even jacket) while driving 🤣 I mean it's not that bad because you can feel the wind through your body and it's even feel cooler if you drive faster aand you're not sweating so much lol

Grass jelly is pretty common here in SEA! Its like a herbal jelly, same texture as pudding. We usually have it with chinese desserts, or even in bubble tea as a topping. Doesnt really taste like much, a little bit sweet and herb-y i guess!
Aloe Vera Sarah try that. That might help with the sunburn. When I swim outdoors I always wear a T-Shirt. There are Rash Guards that block those sun rays. I burn like mad. Be careful with that sun Sarah. Love your Trip VLog.
I saw a GIANT spider in that marble mountain! I can't tell you how fast I ran out! That WOW at 16:15 with the coconut coffee was us too the first time and I don't even like coconut :P.Loved reliving so many Vietnam moments. We haven't explored Danang. Maybe next time. Hoi An was our sweet spot.
Everyone needs at least 1 pair of Vessis... or more than 1 (like me... planning to get another pair before the end of the year). They REALLY are waterproof. My family and I are from South Vietnam and you actually get used to covering yourself from head to toe! Cause we use thin cooling materials and also want to protect ourselves from the sun, dust and dirt as well- cause when you ride the scooters you get covered in lots of smog 😂😂
That totally makes sense! The sun there is HOT 🥵 It’s also really smart to wear masks on those scooters while in traffic, since you’re out in the dust and dirt!
Black grass jelly is a common dessert in Singapore. It is sold in all the hawker centers and super market. It is a jelly made from some herbs and it supposed to cool your body. It tastes good and is eaten with sugar syrup. fyi
Uniqlo has a summer jacket that you can buy so that you wont get sunburn while keeping cool. They are even available for sale in Canada (if you happen to drop by Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver). I would be very surprised if you can't find something similar in South Korea.
That sun is powerful man. I had the same thing happen one time. Reapplied sun screen like 3 times during maybe 6 hours at the beach one day, and still got sun burned. How does that even happen when you're being super careful like that? Lol oooOo those grass jelly treats look good! I actually tend to get grass jelly instead of boba a lot of times when it goes with the drinks. Will also have to try one day when we get to Vietnam. Did your friend draw that pic of Beemo? Yeaahhhh, I feel like you just have to go out between 5-9am (WITH sunscreen), and then stay out of the sun until around 4-5pm 😅 Glad we got to squeeze in an early morning and early evening swim with no sunburns! Go to nha trang or phu quoc island too.Nha trang is a smaller beach town with beautiful island and beach. Phu Quoc is a viet island near of Cambodian coast with magical resort.

😂As a 4+ Espressos/day person I can deal with plenty of Caphe Sua Da, maybe some of the Seoul s/markets specialising in SE Asian products would have Trung Nguyen #5 blend and you can add condensed milk and ice.... Also Baileys Cream Liqueur is a bit of the same taste but alcoholic.. Asia in general still has so many different cultures in close proximity so you'll never tire of travel in the region..😊😊

as a southeast asian i also wear long sleeve (even jacket) while driving 🤣 I mean it's not that bad because you can feel the wind through your body and it's even feel cooler if you drive faster aand you're not sweating so much lol

@@2hearts1seoul it taste kinda like herb, but not very strong. You should try it and it’s good for in the hot weather. It cools your internal body according to Chinese medicine.
Grass jelly is pretty common here in SEA! Its like a herbal jelly, same texture as pudding. We usually have it with chinese desserts, or even in bubble tea as a topping. Doesnt really taste like much, a little bit sweet and herb-y i guess!
We definitely needed it after Marble Mountain then! I’m SO curious what it’s like now!

Aloe Vera Sarah try that. That might help with the sunburn. When I swim outdoors I always wear a T-Shirt. There are Rash Guards that block those sun rays. I burn like mad. Be careful with that sun Sarah. Love your Trip VLog.

I saw a GIANT spider in that marble mountain! I can't tell you how fast I ran out! That WOW at 16:15 with the coconut coffee was us too the first time and I don't even like coconut :P.Loved reliving so many Vietnam moments. We haven't explored Danang. Maybe next time. Hoi An was our sweet spot.

Everyone needs at least 1 pair of Vessis... or more than 1 (like me... planning to get another pair before the end of the year). They REALLY are waterproof. Now I walk IN puddles and my feet/socks stay dry.

My family and I are from South Vietnam and you actually get used to covering yourself from head to toe! Cause we use thin cooling materials and also want to protect ourselves from the sun, dust and dirt as well- cause when you ride the scooters you get covered in lots of smog 😂😂
That totally makes sense! The sun there is HOT 🥵 It’s also really smart to wear masks on those scooters while in traffic, since you’re out in the dust and dirt!
Black grass jelly is a common dessert in Singapore. It is sold in all the hawker centers and super market. It is a jelly made from some herbs and it supposed to cool your body. It tastes good and is eaten with sugar syrup. fyi

Uniqlo has a summer jacket that you can buy so that you wont get sunburn while keeping cool. They are even available for sale in Canada (if you happen to drop by Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver). I would be very surprised if you can't find something similar in South Korea.

That sun is powerful man. I had the same thing happen one time. Reapplied sun screen like 3 times during maybe 6 hours at the beach one day, and still got sun burned. How does that even happen when you're being super careful like that? Lol

Yeaahhhh, I feel like you just have to go out between 5-9am (WITH sunscreen), and then stay out of the sun until around 4-5pm 😅 Glad we got to squeeze in an early morning and early evening swim with no sunburns!

We love Jeju, but it still gets cold in the winter time and even snows. We want to retire somewhere where it’s always warm 🌞

😂As a 4+ Espressos/day person I can deal with plenty of Caphe Sua Da, maybe some of the Seoul s/markets specialising in SE Asian products would have Trung Nguyen #5 blend and you can add condensed milk and ice.... Also Baileys Cream Liqueur is a bit of the same taste but alcoholic.. Asia in general still has so many different cultures in close proximity so you'll never tire of travel in the region..😊😊
