On the subject of the clock motif: This song is much older, c. 2004, than this concert. The band was touring or wrapping up the tour for their Imaginarum album, which they paired with a movie of the same name. There are themes of running out of time and mental decline in both album and movie. The movie and album were written concurrently and the album serves as the expanded soundtrack of the movie.
Mate I've just found your channel and you simplify it for someone who has no idea about music so well please if you can I'd love to see your reaction to nightwish the poet and the pendulum live from Wembley It has some really profound sounds and some lyrics from some pretty dark places in the bands history keep up the good work
Maybe I'm wrong, but the intro measures seem to count: 6,6,5,6 and repeats. And then it moves to: 4,4,3,4 and repeats. And then 4/4 for the beginning of the lead vocals.
I am glad you liked it. Here is some info that may answer some of your questions. Great reaction. I subbed. Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a symphonic metal band. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. Marco is the Bassist and vocals .And there is the guitarist Emppu. Then there is Troy Donockley who is a multi-instrulmentalist and does vocals. Jukka is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai became the drummer and as of now is a permanent member. Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. the 2nd one was Anette Olzon (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from the Netherlands.( power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit live ( Floor), and Decades live (Floor) I hope this helps. I want to welcome you to the Nightwish community. I hope you like them enough to continue the journey. Believe me Nightwish will surprise you with their songs. You will never know what to expect. I discovered them about 4 years ago. They are unbelievable live. Their music has gotten me through some tough times, so it might help through these times. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core. So be prepared. lol My favorite song is Song of Myself live at Wacken 2013. Thank you. Take care and stay safe........
This is so, but so much more than a song. I wonder how can someone simply sit and think... Well, I'm gonna do a song like this, and like that... Start building it up, adding this and that... Then, some angel voice comes in... And it becomes perfect. After some years, the angels voice is gone, but, , suddenly, someone so powerful like Floor brings us this present... When we thought we could never get such an ecstatic rendition of this masterpiece again... Thank you so, whatever are the almighty powers of this universe.
It's not in many 'top 10 live performances ever" but that's because most of the people creating such lists don't know Nightwish. Personally, I think this is one of the best things I've ever seen.
Some time ago, I was reading the comments after listening to some tracks from Amy Lee's "Synthesis." Someone basically said, "If you like this, Floor Jansen and Nightwish are even better." After recovering from my initial offense (how can you possibly like someone better than Amy Lee?), I Googled Nightwish, listened to this (GLS) and had a similar WOW experience. Wondering if this greatness was a fluke, I listened to their other stuff and my opinion was musically beaten into submission and I was conscripted into the Nightwish "army" Warning... If you listen to two or three more songs, you will be assimilated into the ranks... It's inevitable.
It's really awesome. If you like Floor's voice it will hit you deeper and harder into your intestines than anything before. After listening to nightwish for the first time in 2004, I downloaded tons of mp3s of different symphonic metal bands. And there were 3 songs from After Forever (first band of Floor). Floor sang the first word and my world was immediately much more beautiful than before
I came across nightwish whilst trying to find the name of the lead singer in "within temptation"........ haven't listened to them since. And have now bought tickets to 2020/21 tour. Lol.
Welcome, I am a 70 year old senior citizen, musician, and member of the Nightwish army🙂 I see that you have heard from Ann Waychoff, she is a beloved member of the NW army. At my age, I have course have heard many great concerts over the years. But hearing Nightwish here in Maryland in 2015 and 2018 was among the very best ever. Floor Jansen is quite simply one of the best singers on this planet. A fact, not an opinion. NW has a brand new album on which she handles some very challenging vocals. The musicianship of the band is great. Kai Hahto is an amazing drummer (he replaced Jukka, who is the excellent drummer on the 2013 video). New sub, keep up the good work.
Like you, I'm an old codger too, and love this band. Kai Hahto was Wintersun's drummer, another fine Finnish band. Have a listen to the fantastic drum work by Kai on "Time"
They are from Finland, though Floor...the vocalist...is from the Netherlands. They’ve been around since the mid-90s, and Floor is their third singer. Tuomos, the keyboardist, composes most of their music and writes most of their lyrics. Anything from this show is top notch, especially Romanticide (much heavier than this), Storytime, Everdream, and Song of Myself. For something even more epic than this song...believe it or not...check out their song The Greatest Show On Earth live at Tampere.
I haven't read all the comments, so I will just leave my part here.. It's a very long read, but you asked to be informed.. So, I will do my best.. Nightwish has formed in 1996 by Tuomas Holopainen (Keys and songwriting, but also composes most of the songs) and Emppu Vuorinen (Guitarist) and former lead singer Tarja Turunen. The former drummer Jukka Nevalainen and former bass player Sami Vänskä soon joined the band. In 1997 they released there first album called Angels Fall First. After this release they were having succes in Finland, where they are from, but it didn't take off before releasing Oceanborn in 1998. After that the Wishmaster album dropped in 2000 and in 2002 Century Child saw the light. Fans of the first hour would probably still tell you those three albums are still the most loved. At this point Nightwish is doing great in Europe, but still haven't made it to the American market. That changed all in 2004 when they released the album called Once. The single Wish I had an Angel was showed on MTV. They produced three more singles and two music videos for the Once album, as well as a re-recording of the song Sleeping Sun for the compilation album, Highest Hopes: The Best of Nightwish, before Turunen's dismissal in October 2005. Wait what?! Dismissal? Yes. If you ask any fan before 2005 you will get a different break down on how this all went. I will give you the "official" statement. In short came down to the fact Tarja was already speaking of leaving the band the next year (2006) for a solo career, also there were talks she and the band were not on the same page of the direction they would go to. On top off that there were suppose to be some problems between her manager and also husband. So the band fired her, with an open letter, (you see the link in Romanticide) after the show recorded for the live album/DVD End of an Era. Since Tarja and Tuomas were growing up together, as you can imagine, there was much to lose emotionally. The thing was he had the feeling that he was most to blame for letting her go. After this things went bad. There were fans throwing Tuomas under the bus. He destroyed Nightwish according to them, even tough the music and lyrics mostly came from him. Fans were saying that Tarja didn't deserve to be treated this way, etc. This made him very depressed and he was having suicidal thoughts. He wrote a song about it called Poet and the Pendulum (if you want to react to this song, please do some others first, make sure you do do the Wembley 2016 version of it.). In this song he describes the impact this part of his life had on him. 2 years went by without very little news. You would read somewhere Tuomas was writing music but that was about it. Then in may of 2007 the word dropped Anette Olzon joined the band to replace Tarja. That September, the band released their sixth album, Dark Passion Play. The album's lead single, Amaranth, became one of their most successful in songs Europe. The supporting tour, one of their largest, started on October 6, 2007 and ended on September 19, 2009. They released an EP/live album, Made in Hong Kong (And in Various Other Places), in March of 2009 as a CD/DVD, and their seventh studio album, Imaginaerum, was released in late 2011. Anette was not much liked by the early fans. Of course she did bring some new ones too but that seemed not to cover the fans lost. Reason for this was mostly because of her sound. Tarja is a soprano with a very own sound. This is what made Nightwish so great and stand apart from other female fronted metalbands. SInce Anette sounded way more pop and could not deliver the same kind of notes as Tarja did, she was not accepted by those old fans. On October 1, 2012, the announcement was made that they had parted ways with Olzon for what I understand she wants to be more with her family and start her own. Nightwish would be finishing the tour with, at that time, ReVamp vocalist (ex-After Forever) Floor Jansen. In October 2013 (You see how short she was with the band at that Wacken show) they made Jansen, and longtime session uilleann pipes player Troy Donockley, permanent members of the band. They were featured in the acclaimed album Endless Forms Most Beautiful, released on March 27, 2015. On July 15, 2019, it was announced on the band's Facebook page that Kai Hahto would be permanently taking over from Jukka Nevalainen as the band's drummer; in a statement, Nevalainen explained that whilst he was managing his insomnia very well and having few issues, he did not want to 'push his luck' by returning to the band as a full-time member. He did confirm, however, that he would continue in his role taking care of band-related business behind the scenes. I discovered them late 2002 I would say. Saw them live with Tarja in 2004 and 2005. Saw them live at Wacken 2005, still with Tarja. In 2008 at Wacken with Anette and 2009 as well. With Floor I saw them in 2013 at Alcatraz Festival. My recommendations to songs you need to react to first? Well, this is all with Floor, so you can get to know the current Nightwish first. - Romanticide at Wacken 2013 - Song of Myself at Wacken 2013 - Ghost River at Wacken 2013 - Ever Dream at Wacken 2013 - She's My Sin at Wacken 2013 - Dark Chest of Wonders at Wacken 2013 - I Want My Tears Back at Wacken 2013 - Last Ride of the Day at Wacken 2013 - Poet and the Pendulum at Wembley 2016 - The Greatest Show on Earth at Tampere 2015 (this one.. hold back for as long as you can.. kind of a masterpiece..) When you did all the above it is really time you should check out the (2 hour) documentary "Please learn the set list in 48 hours". It's a documentary about the joining of Floor (and Troy) becoming part of the band. It really helps to understand how this all take place. After this all you are kinda set to explore the past and the future Nightwish, they just realeased a new album and live DVD (in december). If you want some do some reactions with Tarja you should check "The Phantom of the Opera" live, also check "Sleeping Sun". So, this is my part of information about Nightwish. If you've read it, a like would be kinda nice.. not that you need to, but hey..
Thank you for what is a pretty good precis of this tale :). As a guitarist, and so used to thinking of drummers as muscle bound idiots who hang around with musicians, I am sad that Jukka has had to back away from performance as he was something really quite special - up there with Ian Paice, Jon Bonham and Neal Peart in my, admittedly unqualified, opinion :D.
as someone who's been in the NW army since 99 I'd say this is a great summary, only thing I would disagree on is that it was only Tarjas vocals that set NW apart from others; her vocals might have been the obvious difference, but if you ask me, what really sets them apart is Tuomas' songwriting, he's just brilliant. I don't want to bash her solo endeavours, she's a great singer and was perfect for early NW, but I don't think she would have gotten that much attention without her time on NW. And I wholeheartedly agree that Anette was leaning too much to the pop side and although she's a good singer in her own right, I felt she lacked the uhm gravitas, for lack of a better word, to really deliver on Tuomas' songwriting and lyrics...
Hey, considering it is 'world famous' in Europe, on the other side of the atlantic they don't know much about it. I think you'd be hard pressed to say where huge festivals such as SXSW are held overthere. I'd say kudos on the reactor for having the country spot on and knowing that it is one of our most prestigious rock/metal festivals!
Well there is the Wacken Cruise on a cruise ship and that definitly does not stand in or move through the village (well with that much rain the times i was there it might work out xD) But yea the Festival itself is always in that village in northern Germany.
Nice reaction! This genre of music is called Symphonic Metal. FYI: There were 82,000+ in the audience that night. GLS is the 13th of 15 songs that NW performed that night. I would recommend either 'Ever Dream' or 'Storytime' From the same concert. The singer's name is Floor Jansen. She is the 3rd and still current female lead singer of Nightwish (est. 1996) She had been with the band for 10 months at the time of this concert there at Wacken on 03 August 2013. They were the Headliners that year.
Nightwish is a rabbit hole you would want to absolutely go deep into my friend. These guys are from Finland and Floor Jansen is from the Netherlands. You are about to be absolutely Floored if you continue watching the band !!
Finnish band with a Dutch vocalist playing progressive symphonic metal (Metallica meets Hans Zimmer) with a single songwriter with penchant for wall of sound and game to try anything. A lot like Devy in that respect, plus this singer guested on Deconstruction, "Pandemic", of all songs! GLS is (most likely) a torch song.
Floor Jansen can sing from ethereal, classical and operatic singing, to powerful belting, and aggressive, raspy vocals like screaming and death growls. She is a soprano. Jansen started studying music at the Dutch Rock Academy in 1999, entering the Conservatorium Tilburg three years later. She studied musical theatre and a year of opera. Later, she started teaching . Romaticide , yours is an Empty hope , Ever dream . All are so good , so many to reccomend. Great reaction!
I was waiting for this, I didn't understand why you haven't reviewed Floor Jansen, but I'm glad you did it and I hope you keep doing Floor's reactions as same as you do Dimash reactions. I feel Nightwish Army should been appearing here...hehe Quick answers: Nightwish are from Finland, Floor Jansen (singer) is Dutch. They are a Symphonic metal band, the composer is Tuomas (keyboards). I suggest to you for the next reaction: Nightwish - Romanticide live at Wacken 2013 (same show) I'll be waiting for more Nightwish reactions :) Stay safe and stay metal.
I am not a fan of Dimash he just shows off every performance. We know he is talented but you don't have to take everything to an extreme every song. Floor on the other hand sings for the song not herself. To me that is a true artist.
Floor is by far the most versitile vocalist ive heard in a VERY long time! As a music teacher im sure you will be impressed. I have NEVER heard her sing anything badly, or miss a note. im sure you will be flooded with nightwish suggestions from the nightwish army, but if you really want to dive into floors skill and get a really good sampling oof her range, check out her performances on the dutch show "beste zangers where she sings everything from classic opera to belty pop songs and intimate soft melodies, as well as flawless duets in german, dutch, and spanish
So... she is human after all! There is one squeak in the recent live acoustic version of Nemo. It's the only one I've ever heard and I've listened a lot - probably too much.
You just summoned the Nightwish Army!) Thank you for sharing your reaction and welcome to the world of Symphonic Metal! Well, you've just witnessed Her Majesty Northern Valkyrie Goddess Floor Jansen (pronounced Yansen, she is Dutch). Floor has classical background, rock academy behind, and used to be a vocal coach for a number of years. Floor is the most versatile and powerful female singer today and can sing anything from more pop-y style, classic opera, to metal screams and growls. Floor sings emotions, not words. Floor joined Nightwish in the middle of their Imaginaerum world tour in late 2012 (which includes this show). Previous singer, Anette Olzon (she's currently in Dark Element) left the band while they were touring, and there was no certainty what to do with all the upcoming shows. They called Floor (her previous band did tour with NW in the past, and they knew each other). Floor flew immediately to help them out and temporarily replace Anette for the rest of the world tour. She arrived two days before the next show, and she had only 48 hours to learn the entire setlist. And she did. There is official documentary about all that -- "PLEASE LEARN THE SETLIST IN 48 HOURS" ( th-cam.com/video/vhExkmWKMEU/w-d-xo.html ) For Floor it was first really big gig with Nightwish, 82K people, at the time she was only for a few months with the band. After the world tour, they made Floor their official member. This song was performed at the end of 90min show, at the 1hr 10min mark. Nightwish formed in '96 in Finland, initially with Tarja (Tar-ya) Turunen as a vocalist. She left the band in 2005, and Anette Olzon stepped in, until 2012. The bassist with a cool beard is Marco, and he sings some parts too. He has his own solo project outside the Nightwish. The mastermind behind 99% of lyrics and music is a keyboardist Tuomas. Guitarist name is Emppu, and the drummer in this show is Jukka (Yukka), but later he was replaced by Kai Hahto because of health issues. Flutes/uilleann pipes/guitar/vocals - Troy, he did not perform in this song. Nightwish is better live, always, so if live performance is available, go for it. In their performances, they often using recorded backtrack of a classical orchestra for their songs. They have very diverse music, from more light songs to epic scores like this, and to really heavy metal stuff. For the next step, I can suggest listening to: - Storytime from the same Wacken 2013 live - for move heavy: Ghost River, Song Of Myself, both from Wacken 2013 also - If you want to explore more Floor versatility, check out her performances on a TV show Beste Zangers in 2019. You just starting your journey with Nightwish, and be prepared to be surprised (and sometimes shocked) time and time again! Their music is very emotional and diverse. Nightwish released their new album on April 10th (Human. :||: Nature.). Greetings from Moscow and stay safe! ;)
@@AlvenmodFoto dont forget Norway there is a lot of black metal bands comming from Norway. and u talked about mountain metal thats Norway Denmark doesent have moutains Sweden and Finnland is more flat then norway :) Dont get me wrong, i agree Sweden and Finland has a lot of great metal bands. not heard many danish sry :(
I have actually asked my wife to play The Greatest Show on Earth at my funeral. No speeches, no nothing, just the 22 minutes of it and let people figure it out if they want to.
As a little warning you barly started scratching the surface of Floor's vocal skills and the bands skill and you seem to have started falling into one of the best rabbit holes there is :)
More Nightwish! 1) Ever Dream (Wacken 2013); 2)Romanticide (Wacken 2013); 3) Music (new release) - to showcase their amazing wide range, talent and variety of style - especially Floor Jansen, she can do literally anything and any style, said to have the widest range and most powerful female vocal in the world. Great job, loved your analysis, subscribed. :)
The clocks you're asking about were related to the artwork from the album Imaginaerum, which they were finishing up a 2 year long world tour for this show. Just pick random live Nightwish songs to react to, we'll watch them.
I feel very comfortable in saying that this is probably *the* song more or less everyone is in agreement should be the Wacken open air live preformance, regardless if you're a live or a studio version person. It is absolutely magnificent.
About Wacken: It's not USUALLY in Germany, it's always been in Germany and always will be. It's right next to the little village named Wacken and was just named after it. In Germany, we have between 1 to 3 heavy metal/rock/similar open air festivals each weekend during summer (leaving out those 1-day festivals and those that are more like a camping party with regional bands and just a few hundreds people). But Wacken is the biggest and one of the oldest. In Germany it's on the bucket list of the things you have to do at least once in your life of every metalhead. And yeah, they were headlining. Btw, did you see those lights behind the crowd? That's not the village. Those are the lights of all the stands of the festival grounds, behind them the lights of the camping grounds. The village itself is not visable from the festival area.
Me: Floor from Nightwish is an amazing singer ..... My coworker: like Miley Sirus? ..... Me: like she makes Miley sound like an untrained harpy ... My coworker: (hasn’t spoken to me since)
Nightwish was founded back in 1996 in Kitee Finland, by Tarja & Tuomas. The rest joined over time. They are considerd symphonic power metal , they have released nine studio albums. The have had three singers : Tarja Turnunen ( 1996 till 2005) Anette Olzon from 2005-2012 and their current Singer Floor Jansen joined officially in 2013 Finshed the tour back in 2012 more info about their voices later. The band currently exists out of 5 members. Their latets Album Human Nature released almost a month ago. Their longest song is 24 minutes long and is called The greatest show on earth which is my personal favorite song by nightwish. About the vocalist Tarja is a Full Light lyric soprano most of her songs were operatic, Anette Olzon is A lyric mezzo soprano and sings mostly in her chest voice and her voice is a bit poppy, Floor Jansen is a Spinto Soprano and has the widest range out of all three singers, She can Grunt , Sing operatic and belt like no one else. Fun fact Floor jansen was in last years Dutch TV Program Beste Zangers, where she finally got the praise and attention she deserved all those years ago. She is one of the reasons I am proud to say I am Dutch. I hope this was enough information
Hello! You have just summoned the Nightwish army :D I see Ann gave you the gist of the band's background. Ghost Love Score is a love song. My interpretation of it is that it's about an unrequited love and the song goes through several phases of that kind of situation, from dreaming to longing, to anger and passion and undying devotion (the chorus). Since you seem to be into metal, I recommend reacting to Romanticide - Live at Wacken (same show). It's a much heavier song from them.
There are also lots of references to other songs, notably the siren, the child, the sea, and the beast among others. I wouldn't spend too much time trying to decipher it all.
@@cyberjarl If so, I suppose she has never realised (or admitted) the meaning (see Bye Bye Beautiful: "Did you ever hear what I told you? // Did you ever read what I wrote you? // Did you ever listen to what we played?")
This song is probably one of the greatest ever made in my eyes and Floor just makes the experience that much better. As well the fact that this song was from one of their first albums says a lot about the guy who composes it all. Which are the guy on the keyboard (as mentioned by others here) Ben listening to NW for many, many years now and I`ve always loved their stuff. If you like this style of music your next step would be to check out, Within Temptation - Angles. I promise you that you won't be disappointed. Their vocalist Sharon possesses an angelic voice
Hey! Don’t be ashamed. I played WoW (still do). 😂 Nightwish with Floor Jansen is my all time favorite. I think of Nightwish as its own genre. Every song is different than the last song. And Floor, OMG she has a 4-octave range and is the Nightwish Army’s stunning 6’1” Valkyrie Goddess. Nightwish is always best served up live. Enjoyed your reaction. If you want to see a heavier song try Romanticide Wacken 2013. 🤘
I am Alliance, but I forgive you. I’ll just plant another one. (I was horde for first 3 years) 😜 Playing ESO ATM. Waiting for Shadowlands. Their suppose to get rid of the crap and make it good again. Hope so.
I wish I could say I played WoW, but I sunk my hours into FF14 (ARR), like... a few thousand hours, before I just had to start chilling out on that game and move on to more time friendly titles :P
I did FF14 for awhile, but once I maxed out I was done. So I bounce around between WoW, ESO, GW2, SWTOR and a few others depending on who has new content. I don’t do dailies or run the same dungeon over and over. I need new content to keep interested. 😄
@@skeezesmith7954 Yeah, I needed a new experience as well. I mean, I still love FF14 and I think it's the best MMORPG I have ever played, and I will always be a diehard fan, but had to move on ^^ I ran a guild with my husband and we would raid together and all that good stuff, but... after 4 years of pretty much dedicating all of my freetime to FF14 I just felt like... I can't. So I moved onto games that are more... lightcore? Lately I've sunk a lot of hours into No Man's Sky, I didn't like it at all a couple of years ago, when I grabbed the game on sale, but started playing about a week ago, and it's just so chill. I loved Destiny 2 after the entire mess of the first year (or two years?) , but.... the seasons just ruined it for me. For now at least. Fomo. Oh well. Anyway, have a good weekend! :)
Welcome to Nightwish! You are going to get a ton of recommendations for live songs, especially from Wacken and they are at their best live with Floor in my opinion. However, their latest album is fascinating to break down musically and lyrically so when you are ready for a studio song to analyze I suggest Shoemaker - Official Lyric Video. It's a fantastic song to analyze. Enjoy your Nightwish journey!
while i love Shoemaker and specialy Floors voice in the ending on it i wouldnt call it as complex vocaly on rest of the song as say Pan or Music but the one that i really feel is a masterpiece is Endlessness
@@galadballcrusher8182 All great songs you list! On her latest live chat Floor said that Shoemaker was the most challenging for her, especially the last part. It is also the song that I hear is the least likely to be performed live due to the challenges in its production so this amazing lyric video might be all us fans have to enjoy the song with visuals. I'm a massive fan of the new album so I'd be thrilled to see a reaction to any song.
Nightwish is a Finnish Symphonic Metal band. Floor Jansen (pronounced Yansen) is a Dutch singer from the Netherlands, currently living in Sweden. Nightwish began their career in 1996 and Floor began her career with her first band in 1997. They did not join together until 2012 but I have been following both of them since 1997. Floor is also the 3rd vocalist of Nightwish. She was sent on text message from the band asking if she could quick join them to finish their tour because the current vocalist became ill and could not perform. She of course said yes as she was already friends with the band at this time after having opened for them in the past. She had basically two days to learn the entire set list before performing. Since then she has become the permanent vocalist along with another musician named Troy who is known for his wide array of instruments such as the high and low whistles, and Uilleann pipes (Irish bagpipes). In addition to reacting to other songs from this concert I would suggest you watch this video about how Floor was brought into the band. It really is amazing to see how much she accomplished and how good she is at what she does. A lot of this info is from my own memory and this was a while back so I don’t remember everything. The link is below. Floor also appeared on the Dutch music show Beste Zangers 2019 and performed some masterpieces there as well. I hope this helps you understand the band a little better. I’d have to write another 10 pages to tell you everything lol. In closing I would like to suggest you react to Ghost River and Romanticide from the same Wacken concert and also Sleeping Sun from the 2016 Masters of Rock concert in Vizovice, Czech Republic. If I can help any further, please let me know but you have a whole army of fans here who love nothing more than talking about Nightwish! th-cam.com/video/vhExkmWKMEU/w-d-xo.html
It's just great seeing people experiencing Nightwish for the first time. It makes me relive the jaw dropping amazement I felt myself when I first heard them (and rediscovering them with Floor). Welcome to the Army!
Damn, I fucking love this song. Don't be ashamed of your WoW past lol. I used to run the Shards of Oor dungeon to this song in Guild Wars. I just so fucking love the rise at the end. Made me so pumped!!
I just found this band last year. Nightwish needs more exposure in the states !!! Awesome to see how many people love this band. You have a lot to catch up on my friend. Enjoy 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Tasmino Ben I’m 42 and listen to almost everything except rap 👎🏻 lol. I found a bunch of bands last year at the same time like Epica , Jinjer and so on. You stay safe also my friend. People here in the U.S. are dumb 😂

Chuck Thomson Lach! i get the Push of your Message, right befor i go.. Good night, may the Music and the Internet will save us! I guess Music and soziale Medien are the Ambessador of Peace for the Human Nation!
The original singer was Tarja, they started with the drummer (who quit in this video cause of Insomnia), and they are from Finland. Floor Jansen, replaced the former replacement of Tarja, is Dutch (me too), and I will finally, FINALLY see them live (hopefully XXX) in November, in Amsterdam Ziggodome :D
New album was released a few weeks ago, so there is even more excellent music for you to listen :) Looking forward to your next Nightwish reaction, really enjoyed this one 🤘
I first heard this band on one of Sam Dunn's Episodes of Metal Evolution in 2011, they interviewed Tarja( who was not in the band at the time) and Tuamos and played a Video," Nemo'" I believe , which i thought, was a damn good song.. I'm 68 years old, love hard rock, and until recently (covid) played in clubs around LA. So i'm locked down at home last Spring watching a lot of TH-cam, and I come across Nightwish live in Bueno's Aires" Ghost Love Score", with Floor Janson singing. and I was stunned, This band was so tight and Janson's vocals brought me to tears. She is a Goddess!
Glad you enjoyed our favorite band NIGHTWISH ! I see you are meeting the Nightwish Army, also ! Hope you enjoy your musical, magical journey through every kick-ass song !!!
I am sure others have answered your query to where NW is from but I will reiterate. Originally all of Nightwish hailed from Finland. Then They changed to a Swedish singer, then to a Dutch singer. Then they added Troy who is English.
Yeeeesssss I can't tell you what it does to my heart to see my favorite reactors covering both Dimash AND Nightwish!! You're gonna get the entire Nightwish Army giving you song suggestions (just like the Dimash Dears do lol) so I'll let them handle that. I can't wait for the next reaction!
The band if from Finland, Tuomas (piano) is the composer. Floor (singer) is the 3rd singer of this band and she is from the Netherlands. (i can only remmond you watch the documentary here on youtube about how she gotten 48 hours to learn the playlist and sing.) There many great songs of this band. Maybe also fun for you is to check out her performances on the dutch tv show "beste zangers 2019" (best singers 2019). Before this show she was not known over here and that changed very quickly. Everyone of her songs was amazing, but the final episode she did "phantom of the opera" with Henk Poort (dutch actor for phantom of opera) and its just jawdropping good.
Ann already got you the history of the band, so won't go anywhere near there. As a guitarist and classically trained bassoonist, I'll join you on the technical/music theory side of things. Just so you know, the opening first 3 bars is in 6/8 time, then switches to 1 bar of 5/8, then back to 6/8 again. Think a triplet feel, then you'll get it. Then when the band kicks in the meter changes to Common time (4/4) then switches to 3/4 then back to 4/4. Towards the middle of the song, you got it right with that 6/8 feel, so when you go back to the beginning and count it out, if you add in that one bar of 5/8 then go back to 6/8, you'll have it. You got the feel of like some old time viking type pub vibe? you should react to Nighwish's song "The Islander", live at Tampere 2015, and "I Want My Tears Back" at this very Wacken show. That will get you that feel. As for other songs, You already hit Romanticide. I'll go ahead and suggest the song "Yours is an Empty Hope", at Wembley 2015. Do *NOT* choose the one from the Nightwish cruise; the reason to not choose that one is because Floor's mix in the corus isn't turned up as much as needed to hear her (you'll realize why), and you don't get to see her as she's singing the chorus. Just to note: in that song, Marko (the bassist) is singing clean. That's all I'll say. If you keep down this Nightwish rabbit hole, you'll find some damn good stuff. Enjoy the ride, because you're in for it!!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the music and the performance. I will recommend a handful of songs and I believe your channel will blow up from these reactions. I've seen it before haha. So here are my recommendations: Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean- Live Buenos Aires Ghost River- Live Waken Storytime- official live video with nuclear blast records Yours is an Empty Hope- Live Wembley Dead Boy's Poem- Live Buenos Aires Ever Dream- Live Waken The Greatest Show on Earth- Live Romanticide- Live Waken Fun fact: Floor is not their original vocalist. The first singer was Tarja Turunen followed by Anette Olzon. I wouldn't compare them because they are all very different vocalists and have their own strengths. Floor is by far my all time favorite singer. And if you want a taste of some other styles she has sung, check out Beste Zangers: Que se Siente, Winner, Shallow, Phantom of the Opera, Vilja lied. Thanks for reacting to this :)
you forgot to mention Alissia White-Gluz and Elize Ryd (both sang for Nightwish when Anette got sick and Nightwish didn't want to cancel the Show in Denver)

Floor the lead singer has had some classical training and is a 6’1” Dutch vocal beast!Id say it’s best to react to their live performances every time rather than studio tracks...they’re definitely a live band and you get a lot more from their live performances than their album tracks...Nightwish songs range across Rock,Celtic,Operatic,Thrash and Folk, lots of variety and styles to choose from. If you want a few more suggestions for a bit more of Nightwish then try these.Theyre all from the Wacken,Wembley and Tampere shows and great quality 👍 Floor is also doing a Dutch show called Beste Zangers where singers sing songs that have special meaning for each other...worth a look I Don’t know a thing about love th-cam.com/video/ahykaAPHhs8/w-d-xo.html Que siente th-cam.com/video/DfYeLUoqw0E/w-d-xo.html Shallow Vilja lied I Want My Tears Bac th-cam.com/video/ga-hR7CYbwQk/w-d-xo.html...Celtic Rock vibe Romanticide....Heavy th-cam.com/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/w-d-xo.html Last Ride Of The Day...Pure fun and energy th-cam.com/video/QzIMx7Dqa_M/w-d-xo.html Greatest Show On Earth...Epic th-cam.com/video/45brzDJKZ3o/w-d-xo.html Sleeping Sun...Beautiful ballad th-cam.com/video/rsotlzr9wNw/w-d-xo.html Story Time...Lively and fun th-cam.com/video/pvkYwOJZONU/w-d-xo.html EverDream...poppy rock th-cam.com/video/YwGSAFarHRg/w-d-xo.html Shudder Before The Beautiful...Heavy th-cam.com/video/7oQ8sNSYXmQ/w-d-xo.html Yours Is An Empty Hope...Very heavy with Floor growling 😊 th-cam.com/video/XtXqUNB8zrU/w-d-xo.html Poet And The Pendulum...Epic th-cam.com/video/gbn9GczYBkw/w-d-xo.html Weak Fantasy...Heavy th-cam.com/video/AN239Pbqbjo/w-d-xo.html Ghost River...Heavy(ish) th-cam.com/video/05eitd-EA6I/w-d-xo.html Song Oth-cam.com/video/lQu5QjidHWgf/w-d-xo.html Myself...Heavy AF Seven Days To The Wolves... th-cam.com/video/XvsfwAPbWXc/w-d-xo.html If you want a hard rocking Floor check out Disdain by her old band Revamp.... th-cam.com/video/tIqzPXzhEuw/w-d-xo.html If you want something completely different but still Symphonic Metal then try Sancta Terra by Epica which has Floor as guest vocalist in a duet with Epica’s female vocalist Simone Simmons...awesome stuff(They Use a full orcheustra as backing in that one) th-cam.com/video/cx22Yuj2nzg/w-d-xo.html
Always a beautiful thing to see someone sign up to the Nightwish Army under the spell of Floor & the magic hypnosis that is Nightwish! I loved your reaction and the joy of finding that something just simply mindblowing, I've been a fan for over 20 years or so, not a day goes by where I don't listen to Nightwish. I bet you were asking yourself, "Why have I not heard of these band before??? I know that's what I was thinking 20 years ago. Much love, Peace & Respect. Stay safe.
My interpretation of the song is as follows: it’s a love story in three parts, infatuation, betrayal, and a cry for redemption. The first part of the song is idyllic and hopeful, new lovers enjoying their time together. Then along comes the “siren” tempting one of them away. They resist, but slowly succumb to the temptation and fall to the seduction (the orchestral interlude). The betrayal is discovered and angry words are thrown between the two, leading to separation. Finally, the betrayer seeks to mend the relationship and reconcile and the remainder of the song is a cry for redemption and hope to regain what was lost.
Awesome take. Mine is absolutely different. I think it's a lament for a child never had with a lost love ("an angel without care for love and loss"), with a sort of breakdown and recovery ("redeem me into childhood, show me myself without a shell") that ends with releasing the regrets ("time to never hold our love") with that final wail.
Well, as you have probably noticed, we have Nightwish Army commenting all over your comment section. So first answer, Nightwish is a Finnish "MegaBand" that headlines the category of Symphonic Metal. The leader is Tuomas Holopainen (keyboardist, cofounder and writer of majority of the song of the band since it's birth in 1996), guitarist Emppu Vourinen (cofounder), bassist Marco Hietala (ex-Tarot, acoustic guitar and also vocalist), drummer Kai Hahto (current drummer, ex-Wintersun, and one of the best drummer in the world today), main vocalist Floor Jansen (Ducth-born, citizen of Sweden, ex-After Forever/ReVamp, probably yhe widest/wildest range vocalist living today), and the one you haven't seen is Troy Donockley (multi instrumentalists and vocalist). So, this band has unique characteristics of having 4 vocalists (3 acitve), 4 guitarist (3 active), 6 song writers, 9 albums circa 1996 - 2020. The clock came from their 7th album, Imaginaerum (2012), which was the tour you were watching, Ghost Love Score was part of their 6th album, Once (2008) with their first (original) vocalist Tarja Turunen. Ghost Love Score was about destructive love, hence the chorus. Recommendation:. I believe you would love to react and most likely will be included in your own playlist: ROMANTICIDE from Wacken 2013 Showtime, Storytime tour. This song presented Nightwish metal prowess as well as both vocalists (Floor Jansen and Marco Hietala) powerful duets. Do beware of the term FLOORGASM coz the word born starting with Floor Jansen joining the band. Floorgasm means the goosebumps or creeping eargasmic sensations you got from Floor Jansen vocal delivery. Nightwish, since the 7th album mentioned themselves as Vehicle of Spirits (which became the 8th album tour name) and Edema Ruh (bard-like band who travels and tells stories). Currently, they have just released 9th album on April 10th called Hvman:||:Natvre, which is probably their best album by majority fans' commentary. The album has 10 songs, 9 in CD1, Song no 10 is 31 minutes long in CD2. The next recommended song to react after Romanticide is The Greatest Show On Earth from Wembley's Vehicle of Spirits show in 2015. Have fun.
Hi!! They're awesome. You should really reaction to "The Poet and the Pendulum", but first read what it's about. You won't regret it and we're gonna enjoy your reaction so much. Regards from Argentina.
Avoid the version with the lyrics on screen but still do the live from wembley. Pause in between and it shouldn't have a problem of being blocked. This is my favourite song. It's a masterpiece.
They are from Finland. The biggest band of Finland. The Lead singer (Her name ls Floor) is Dutch. She is the third singer of Nightwish. The First one was Tarja Turunen (Opera style) The second one was Anette Olzon (More of a pop/rock style) And now Floor Jansen (About every style there is) The music is composed by modern day Mozart: Tuomas Holopainen (Plays keyboards) He also writes most of the lyrics. There is many opinions whatbthis song is about. I think it's about one sided love.
Prepare yourself for a 20+ minute mark with Nightwish - The Greatest Show on Earth live at Tampere. It's about the evolution of life and history of the Universe. It's EPIC
Great reaction. Thank you. Nightwish is a lifetime journey. They are one of a kind. Band playin so tight and Floor is Floor. Enjoy the ride. Greets from Finland ❤️🤘🏼😎🇫🇮❤️🤘🏼😎🇫🇮
Not only were they at Wacken, they were one of the headliners. ;) I believe the crowd that came to see them numbered 82,000 people in total. Nightwish is famous here in Europe, and one of the old metal legends. Of course they'd get one of the best timeslots at Wacken, they've earned it a million times over.
Most of the band is from Finland. The vocalist Floor Jansen is Dutch, but is living in Sweden together with the drummer of Sabaton. :) Congrats on your first floorgasm.
Best grab a battle helmet at bunker down, you're about to be invaded by the Nightwish Army and your subscriber base is about to increase dramatically. Amazonian Goddess: Floor Jansen, (6'1") greatest singer in the world, can do it all! Check out more numbers from their Wacken set. 'Song of Myself' is excellent. BTW, they have longer songs, hope you'll get to them eventually. Enjoy! :-)
It is one of these bands where all members are equals, even if Tuomas, keyboard, is the soul of the band (writer and composer). Welcome in Nightwish world! You're gonna love it! It's a long journey. I want to propose you, since you've met Floor, to take a look at the first singer, Tarja, with The Phantom of the Opera (End of an Era concert) and listen to their new material with Music or Shoemaker (masterpiece).
Great reaction, you were smiling all the way trough. And Nigtwish army already found you. The hole band is epic. And don't worry, there are al lot of songs from Nightwish left (but always do the live version, Wacken 2013, Tempera Bounos Aeres or Wembley) - Romaticide (check) - Song of Myself (check) - Everdream - Storytime (check) - Yours is a empty hope - Ghost River - 7 days to the wolves - Last ride of the day - 10Th man down - Dead boys poem - Devil and the deep dark ocean - Slaying the dreamer - Shudder before the beautiful - The poet and the pendulum -The greatest show on earth Please check out Beste Zangers where you can hear the versatilty of Floor - Vilja (German) - Que se siente (Spanisch) - Mama (Dutch) - Winner - Shallow -Shallow (duet with Tim Akkerman) - Phantom of the opera (duet with Henk Poort, he was the Dutch phantom in the 90's)
I loved your reaction tonight...and I have seen many over the last year for this specific song. It just never gets old. Please do Romanticide next from this same concert! It has a harder vibe and is awesome!
You need to hear Marco Hietala sing. He's the bass player. His band is Tarot. Really great vocalist. The Islander from Nightwish has Marco as the main singer. That song is great too
Loving all the great content DJ!!! Since you are really loving Nightwish another musical adventure is The Greatest Show on Earth. A mantra that is even longer!!!!!
A fellow Canuck! Hello from the East Coast Atlantic. :) As for your secret admission in the middle... same... It's a part of my past that I'm not proud of but... it's there... ;) You're one of the few who payed attention to the count which was super cool and I loved that you caught that she wasn't in her highest register at any point. She does go a little lower but not too much and she does have a few tricks and surprises that she didn't show or fully show in this performance: various aggressive style vocals, Operatic skills, upper chest mix belting(sustained belting rather than like the high note at the end), and more. I'm not sure if you post your breakdowns of the songs after or not, but I would love to hear that. Especially of the instruments and melodic choices. You have a super chill and relaxed demeanor which is awesome and it's easy to see you really do love music. Hope to see you react to more of Nightwish's music - especially their heavier stuff. Stay safe wherever you are!
You guys are amazing! Thank you for your continued support on this channel :)
They are from Finland and Floor, she says she's dutch but many people believe she's a GODDESS!!!
Mate I've just found your channel and you simplify it for someone who has no idea about music so well please if you can I'd love to see your reaction to nightwish the poet and the pendulum live from Wembley
It has some really profound sounds and some lyrics from some pretty dark places in the bands history keep up the good work
Bro, do you like electronics too? It's got some guitars in it too, heheh..
If yes, then try to react on Infected Mushroom - Heavyweight :)
Maybe I'm wrong, but the intro measures seem to count: 6,6,5,6 and repeats. And then it moves to: 4,4,3,4 and repeats. And then 4/4 for the beginning of the lead vocals.
"The vocalist is talented, too." Biggest musical understatement since someone said of Mozart, "The kid has promise".
Musical understatement? What's that?...and did you listen to these songs with Tarja???
Yup. Been a Nightwish fan since 1997. Tarja‘s singing is limited. In variability, range and in, well, accent.
Well said!!! 😂
@@Muschelschubs3r Limited in range. Oh yes, sure. 3 octaves isn't enough, right?
@@memyshelfandeye318 Compared to Floor Jansen, she is limited. Absolutely. And since we won't find middle ground, I will just let this stand. Bye.
Floor Jansen : "The Swiss Army Knife of Singing".
😁🤘🤘
The deluxe model lol
Yeah, if its a 6 foot knife with broad sword, axe and everything in between. 😁
"The dutch army knife"
Floor Fuckin Jansen...she is a Great sword "Stormbringer"
She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from the Netherlands.( power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile)
There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit live ( Floor), and Decades live (Floor)
I hope this helps.

Ghost Love Score isn't a song, it's an event.
It really is!
Imagine how "Poet" and "Greatest Show" will go!
@Johan It is a genre.
The Odyssey by Symphony X... event wouldn't sum that song up
It's not in many 'top 10 live performances ever" but that's because most of the people creating such lists don't know Nightwish.
It's inevitable. You said it like it is. Greetings from Finland! Stay healthy
Resistance is futile.
It's really awesome. If you like Floor's voice it will hit you deeper and harder into your intestines than anything before. After listening to nightwish for the first time in 2004, I downloaded tons of mp3s of different symphonic metal bands. And there were 3 songs from After Forever (first band of Floor). Floor sang the first word and my world was immediately much more beautiful than before
This guy knows his ways through the words, very good comment.
I came across nightwish whilst trying to find the name of the lead singer in "within temptation"........ haven't listened to them since. And have now bought tickets to 2020/21 tour. Lol.
I have seen them 6 times and Floor nails that epic ending every single time. Best vocalist I have ever seen
Have a listen to the fantastic drum work by Kai on "Time"
May Ann RIP.
And of course Troy is from the UK.
And don't forget.... The Poet And The Pendulum...
Tampere live is epic with the synchronized fireworks!

Greetings from Finland🤘 Nightwish's homeland 💙. The greatest band on earth right noe💙
- Romanticide at Wacken 2013
- Song of Myself at Wacken 2013
- Ghost River at Wacken 2013
- Ever Dream at Wacken 2013
- She's My Sin at Wacken 2013
- Dark Chest of Wonders at Wacken 2013
- I Want My Tears Back at Wacken 2013
- Last Ride of the Day at Wacken 2013
- Poet and the Pendulum at Wembley 2016
- The Greatest Show on Earth at Tampere 2015 (this one.. hold back for as long as you can.. kind of a masterpiece..)
When you did all the above it is really time you should check out the (2 hour) documentary "Please learn the set list in 48 hours".
Great storyline and summary. Thanks very much.

I mean, the Olympics are named after Olympia, Greece, but they're held in a different city every time
Vak3n
Well there is the Wacken Cruise on a cruise ship and that definitly does not stand in or move through the village (well with that much rain the times i was there it might work out xD)
But yea the Festival itself is always in that village in northern Germany.
Nightwish Army incoming. I think you'll enjoy Romanticide or Storytime next.
Storytime is amazing
Romanticide is a must!
Romanticide at this same Wacken concert is amazing. And a totally different sound ;)
Agreed, add Ever Dream, Song of Myself to the list from this concert before moving on 👊
persent!
Add the whole Wacken setlist, in fact :)
but if unable to, any of them is good...
we are here...we are everywhere ...nightwish army🤟
"Wacken is usually hold in Germany"
City of Wacken: Yeah, where else?
"city", LMAO ... barely 2k inhabitants (and i'm not sure, that includes cows and pigs).
Wacken is only a city for a couple days every year. But then it's the greatest city in the world, with 80.000 metalheads living there in tents. 🤘
@@michaelschneider5655 Including the Cows and Pigs? Then youre above 2k :P
@@KelbenArunsun barely :)
I think cows outnumber people there but yeah "city" for about a week in August :)
To put it the way it is: This performance (and Floor in particular) is World Class.
I was waiting for this, I didn't understand why you haven't reviewed Floor Jansen, but I'm glad you did it and I hope you keep doing Floor's reactions as same as you do Dimash reactions.
I feel Nightwish Army should been appearing here...hehe
Quick answers: Nightwish are from Finland, Floor Jansen (singer) is Dutch. They are a Symphonic metal band, the composer is Tuomas (keyboards).
I suggest to you for the next reaction: Nightwish - Romanticide live at Wacken 2013 (same show)
I'll be waiting for more Nightwish reactions :)
Stay safe and stay metal.
Tuomas :)
I am not a fan of Dimash he just shows off every performance. We know he is talented but you don't have to take everything to an extreme every song. Floor on the other hand sings for the song not herself. To me that is a true artist.
@@gzin33 Amen!
16 year old song still blowing peoples minds, and this song wasn't even wrote for Floor, that's Nightwish and that's music genius of Tuomas Holopainen
There is official documentary about all that -- "PLEASE LEARN THE SETLIST IN 48 HOURS" ( th-cam.com/video/vhExkmWKMEU/w-d-xo.html )
For Floor it was first really big gig with Nightwish, 82K people, at the time she was only for a few months with the band.
For the next step, I can suggest listening to:
- Storytime from the same Wacken 2013 live
- for move heavy: Ghost River, Song Of Myself, both from Wacken 2013 also
- If you want to explore more Floor versatility, check out her performances on a TV show Beste Zangers in 2019.
You just starting your journey with Nightwish, and be prepared to be surprised (and sometimes shocked) time and time again! Their music is very emotional and diverse.
Nightwish released their new album on April 10th (Human. :||: Nature.).
Greetings from Moscow and stay safe! ;)
I love how everybody's faces start to melt, when they hear her singing, for the first time 😁
The European, and especially the Finnish metal scene is a 'World of Wonder'.
Suggesting Storytime, from this same show.

Nightwish! Obsessed with this band and Floor! Anything from this show is awesome! Romanticide or Ghost River next!
Oh no, you did it!! NIGHTWISH TIME, prepare to binge watch for the next 8 months!!
The clocks, well... that's relative to the album they released that year...Imaginaerium.
And they have 13 numbers. "Thirteen chimes on a dead man's clock, tick tock." -Scaretale
And it is a reference to their Nightwish movie Imaginaerum which movie score songs are played in this tour.
Wacken is always the same place: A little village in the rural north of Germany. 😊
Please have a look at Nightwish, The Greatest Show on Earth (Live at Tampere). UNBELIEVABLE !!
The clocks you're asking about were related to the artwork from the album Imaginaerum, which they were finishing up a 2 year long world tour for this show. Just pick random live Nightwish songs to react to, we'll watch them.
It is a complete experience. Every now and again a band comes along with all the right pieces to create the extraordinary. I am now Nightwish army!
I feel very comfortable in saying that this is probably *the* song more or less everyone is in agreement should be the Wacken open air live preformance, regardless if you're a live or a studio version person.
It is absolutely magnificent.
Group is from Finland, vocalist is Dutch
Absolutely love Nightwish!!
The Valkyrie Goddess of metal, Floor Jansen.... Making current pop divas sound like they're farting on a snare drum
They aren't already?
I wish I could like this comment a million times
This is the best statement on the internet

It's definitely unrequited love, and very likely Tuomas's love for Tarja.
@@mclark347 If so, I can't imagine how creepy it would be for Tarja to sing a song Tuomas wrote about herself o.O
@@cyberjarl If so, I suppose she has never realised (or admitted) the meaning (see Bye Bye Beautiful: "Did you ever hear what I told you?
// Did you ever read what I wrote you? // Did you ever listen to what we played?")
@@Beus38 Bye Bye Beautiful was sung by Anette though :)
Nightwish "Greates Show on Earth" 21 Minuts !! ..Tampere 2015 !!
I like this guy! Great video!
As do I! For the horde! (Sorry for burning down your tree if you're Alliance. :( )
Nightwish is from Finland. The current lead singer, Floor Jansen is from Sweden. Floor is trained in both classical and opera genres.
They are from Finland. The cool part of this all is the story of how she learned this set list in such a short time
Its a Finnish band with a Dutch singing in English while performing in Germany.

YES been waiting for this. About to watch!
I first heard this band on one of Sam Dunn's Episodes of Metal Evolution in 2011, they interviewed Tarja( who was not in the band at the time)
and Tuamos and played a Video," Nemo'" I believe , which i thought, was a damn good song.. I'm 68 years old, love hard rock, and until recently (covid) played in clubs
around LA. So i'm locked down at home last Spring watching a lot of TH-cam, and I come across Nightwish live in Bueno's Aires" Ghost Love Score",
with Floor Janson singing. and I was stunned, This band was so tight and Janson's vocals brought me to tears. She is a Goddess!
Glad you enjoyed our favorite band NIGHTWISH ! I see you are meeting the Nightwish Army, also ! Hope you enjoy your musical, magical journey through every kick-ass song !!!
I'm watching this video while I'm playing WOW :)
Everyone remembers their first time...
(i can only remmond you watch the documentary here on youtube about how she gotten 48 hours to learn the playlist and sing.)
There many great songs of this band.
We want more Nightwish! Please (Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean live in Buenos Aires! Hail from Brazil!
We want more, we want Floor. :-)
So here are my recommendations:

Fun fact: Floor is not their original vocalist. The first singer was Tarja Turunen followed by Anette Olzon. Stay safe.
They were the headline act for Wacken 2013.
Nightwish is a Finnish band with a Dutch lead singer Floor Jansen
When it didn't got banned (or cut up so you can't recognize it again) because of copyright issues like most poet and the pendulum reactions
I second this.
Avoid the version with the lyrics on screen but still do the live from wembley. Pause in between and it shouldn't have a problem of being blocked. This is my favourite song. It's a masterpiece.
Floor is the Titan of Metal. In a league of her own!
Fantastic reaction!! Incredible musicians and Floor is the queen! :)
They are from Finland.
The biggest band of Finland.
The Lead singer (Her name ls Floor) is Dutch. She is the third singer of Nightwish.
The First one was Tarja Turunen
(Opera style)
The second one was Anette Olzon
(More of a pop/rock style)
And now Floor Jansen
(About every style there is)
The music is composed by modern day Mozart: Tuomas Holopainen (Plays keyboards)
He also writes most of the lyrics.
Not only were they at Wacken, they were one of the headliners. ;)
I believe the crowd that came to see them numbered 82,000 people in total.
Nightwish is famous here in Europe, and one of the old metal legends.
Of course they'd get one of the best timeslots at Wacken, they've earned it a million times over.
nightwish song of myself is the number 1
Most of the band is from Finland. The vocalist Floor Jansen is Dutch, but is living in Sweden together with the drummer of Sabaton. :)
Congrats on your first floorgasm.
Her husband is the drummer for Sabaton and they live in Sweden because Hannes is Swedish.
@@christinaalgate4899 Yep.
And their daughter, Freja, is now three years old.
She lived here in North Karelia (Finland) for a while though, before moving in with her boyfriend (husband nowadays).
Truly sick. Her vocal range is six octaves

I loved your reaction tonight...and I have seen many over the last year for this specific song. It just never gets old. Please do Romanticide next from this same concert! It has a harder vibe and is awesome!
You were bang on! th-cam.com/video/eNvo9y1oe9Q/w-d-xo.html
You need to hear Marco Hietala sing. He's the bass player. His band is Tarot. Really great vocalist. The Islander from Nightwish has Marco as the main singer. That song is great too
I agree, Kenny! In fact I did a reaction to the islander live and even a guitar lesson video on it! :)
Keep doing Wacken 2013. Every song is an experience. Romanticide, Storytime, Song of Myself, Dark Chest of Wonders, Ghost River.

Loving all the great content DJ!!! Since you are really loving Nightwish another musical adventure is The Greatest Show on Earth. A mantra that is even longer!!!!!
05:00 Nightwish was the headline band for this concert...
