I never miss a podcast episode from you guys. you're my favorite content creators and have been incredibly helpful week to week to me learning to play the game this last year. thanks for continuing to have meaningful and interesting discussions, bringing lots of information to the community.
If you’re splitting at a DLC you report the game as normal, you just randomise who wins the second game. You don’t use the ID button, because then it would put you down as having drawn both games, rather than both winning one. It ls why it’s splitting not an ID, sounds like knit picking but it’s important people know so they don’t accidentally mess up there reporting
Great to see Kawa and Kim casting the LorcaQuest in France. Good job both. Looked a great event. When are we going to see Kim joining the Podcana cast?
Great deep dive on the hypothetical (super lucky) 5-0 start. Definitely seems like playing it with the likely result being a natural split, the high-roll being a 2-0 allowing you to split the next 3 and have a great seating, but if you 0-2 you have 3 matches to get another 2-0 to offset it and then split the others. Interesting take on playing the last one if it means either getting a high seed, bubbling out or naturally splitting games into top cut. I have also eliminated steel song prior to listening so that was confirmation. Been listening to a lot of Zan and he says that the only "bad matchup" is the mirror match..... So I should just pull the trigger on green steel. I just love how consistent red purple is and it's favorable into blue red which still should he a high number of the field. Green steel is dicey if they get their good draws but I haven't had a lot of time to play Lorcana and test. Steel song is a bad matchup but that deck is falling out of favor. Hyper aggro and green purple could take games or even matches off red purple too..... So it seems like red purple can day 2 if it hits good matchups but green steel should just be able to day 2 a lot easier. (Depending if I can learn the deck quick enough.) Anyway..... Great pod guys, I also love how I feel like you guys were talking nice about all the spoiler cards 🤣🤣🤣 I understand why!
The judge does the die roll with who wins G1 or G2, when you decide to split. Is Moyen serious about the no wheel SS? Cannot see myself playing no wheel when it is so good against ES, RA, you name it. SS should definately get a spike in Seattle, because it is good against ES. And being more consistent than RS, I would probably pick that deck. 3x on the Ariel and should be relatively fine against RS as well.
Kawa - thoughts on the newly revealed heffalumps and its application in the GY discard deck? I’m personally excited to have a cheap anti-aggro/stall cantrip at our disposal
Love your content guys, amazing as always! 2 questions today, more hypothetical around DLCs. 1. Where (what cities) would you like to see DLCs next year? As an NA gamer in the northeast, I’d love to see one in the Boston / New York area. 2. Why in the world don’t they sell DLC shirts/hoodies/hats at the expo? If you win the tickets, theres almost NO chance you take a hat over a promo or mat right? But if they printed 3,000 hats and sold them for like $30 each lots of people would buy them! Like, there are packs on the prize wall and I can buy those, why not a DLC Seattle hoodie? I feel like there are lots of missed opportunities there.
Loving your podcasts as always! I have a question as a relative new player that tries to grow a collection for deck building and playing the game. I am always thinking about the unspoken, but very likely possibility for future set rotations, would you consider that possibility in growing a collection, especially when many of the best cards are from the first chapter like "Be Prepared", "Maui", "Tinker Bell - Giant Fairy", "A Whole New World", "Hades - Infernal Schemer", "Maleficent - Monstrous Dragon", "Tamatoa - So Shiny!", "Fishbone Quill", "Rapunzel - Gifted with Healing" and so on... If there will be a set rotation, when would you expect they would implement the first one? And in general what are your opinions about set rotations? I would love an in-depth discussion, as the topic is very interesting especially considering the game design possibilities.
I have always been purple pilled but red blue has been doing amazing for me lately beating a majority of the emerald steels that have chased away the tough psychological matchup of red purple and brought back more good matchups like blue steel chasing away more bad matchups like hyper aggro because the steel. I am on a low inkable no ice block list. Occassionally a 4 cost lawerence or mufasa makes me fold if i cant use my be prep or maleficent to out it but the deck is farming. Downside is emerald steel and blue steel and red blue mirror can take forever and I hve games go to time bc one of us refuses to concede for twenty minutes past the inevitable in the bo3 format.
My local competitive scene is ruthless. Seems like everyone is playing the super meta decks. I brought my meta R/A deck into a champs last weekend and unfortunately ran up against 4 E/S decks in swiss and one steelsong list. I expected Ruby/Sapphire. Oh well 🤣

Personally, I think Philly and Atlanta are just the best East coast locations.
Loving the podcast and thank you for reading out my silly comment. Hoping to meet you guys in Seattle and get a card signed :)
